First time here with my work crew and had a great experience. I loved their wine selection because it had a variety, but I wasn’t able to get Riesling in glass, so I opted for Huia, Gewürztraminer, Marlborough, New Zealand 2008 — and it was delicious! Just my type of sweet wine: p We started off with lots of small plates before our entrée. My favorite salmon baklava and my co-workers liked the lamb bits that came with pita bread(which was delicious too). I had the Helba which came with Wild salmon and scallops(on the side…). I realized when we got our dish that they were missing the scallops, so we had to tell the waiter, who brought our scallops on a separate dish — thus the 1 star deduction. The fried salmon skin with the scallop was delicious with the multigrain rice which was rich in lemon flavor. I enjoyed my dish even though it didn’t come out with the scallops. Would definitely return! Also, the restaurant is in the hallway on the right, which a very pretty decorated door. The lobby that you first see when you enter the building is part of a hotel of some sort, so keep going down that hallway for the restaurant. Service was great, definitely like!

Tucked at the back of an hotel, this Mediterranean restaurant would be a shame to miss. It’s one of the best middle-Eastern food I had in a while. I wanted to try everything on the menu. They have small plates or normal dishes but I would recommend the small plates(that way you can try more things on the menu). It was so good that I actually didn’t take any pictures — which says a lot: I’d rather eat than document my meal.

I had dinner in the Saha. First impression: — very noisy and — tight to sit. — Service personal who seems to like themselves more than their customers. The wine — was good but slightly overpriced, I would say. The food — we had 6 plates for 2 persons. Only 2 plates were really good: — The medium-rare lamb and something like a puff dough tarts with chicken. Wonderful plates. — The ginger scallops, a bean salad and the ice cream were good. Nothing special, but average. — the daily special salad with kale was below average. Not tasty. To many contra-productive aroma in my opinion. — Food portions were good for all 6 plates. The room — definitely too dark and — not enough space(tables too small) SUMMARY Average food with some little highlights in a tight and darky environment with below average service. We left 160 $ for a 2 persons dinner. This is too much for what we got. Therefore overpriced. I would not go there again.

Awesome spot inside the hotel carlton. Sadly its not a hidden gem as when we came on a saturday walking in, it was packed. But their amazing service made it so that we could seat at the bar and they were so accomodating(i wanted a meat prix fixe and my gf wanted a vegetarian one), and they helped us mix and match so both of us happy. And ladtly the food. Amazing. We’ll be back.

Saha’s menu is mesmerizing. I have been infatuated with this place for well over a year and it was only last night that I finally had the opportunity to eat here. Saha is not a new restaurant — but I find their menu to be compellingly innovative and I’m surprised that I don’t hear about this unique spot more often. Saha is owned by a husband and wife team and it is an interesting blend of traditional Yemenese Arabic cuisine and California cuisine. They make their own bread and they strive to serve up sustainably sourced seafood and organic and local ingredients in all of their dishes. With an extremely versatile menu that caters to those who are vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, or paleo — Saha is guaranteed to have at least something on their menu for anyone who has common or specific dietary restrictions. I have personally been avoiding garlic after discovering that I have an intolerance to it. Our waitress at Saha was helpful at figuring out what menu items didn’t contain it and she even offered up her own recommendations in the process. I ended up ordering the Oregon freshwater prawns in rosewater-mint sauce and the Lamb kofta meatballs with zahaweg. My lovely dining companion got the Mansaf with ender Cubed lamb stewed with cauliflower, Arabic yogurt, allspice, pearl onions and mint served atop of Arabic Rice. The prawns were huge and the sauce which accompanied them was excellent. I lapped up the remaining portion of it with my spoon. My Lamb Kofta was spiced just right and my dining companion’s Mansaf was sensational. The Mansaf’s lamb was unbelievably tender with no grizzly or fatty bits. Both of our dishes we agreed paired beautifully with Saha’s Arabic Tea made with green tea, fresh mint, cardamom, clove & Raw sugar. Our waitress even topped off our cups — as we dined. If you enjoy wine — definitely be sure to peruse Saha’s list — since it is crafted with evident knowledge and care. Though we didn’t order dessert — Saha’s desserts are magical sounding and looking. I’m looking forward to returning to try their banana Baklava and their Slap ya Mama(roasted fruit, date & almond marzipan, and dark chocolate wrapped in phyllo and then baked.) Saha’s ambiance does have room for improvement — considering the prices of their dishes. I found that their interior doesn’t seem to fit the complexity of their dishes. That being said — if you’re looking for a new culinary experience — Saha is a palate delighting adventure. Trust.

Probably my new favorite restaurant in SF. It’s pricey but WORTH it. A few of their entrees are enough to fill up two people. Some of my favorite dishes are: 1. Falafel and Eggplant(by the far the BEST falafel I’ve eaten). 2. Za’atar Cauliflower(smokey and flavorful) 3. Baklava(TODIEFOR). Overall, everything I’ve tried was amazing. I’m vegan, and this restaurant is safely one of the better vegan friendly places out there. Plus, the ambience is posh and elegant, and the service is fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend it!

3.5 I kept willing myself to like Saha more than I did. I feel like I should have really loved it. But, as it was, I only liked it… not *liked* it liked it… just liked it. Thinking back on it, I think it has to do with the fact that I never had a breakthrough moment in the meal. There was never a part of the experience where I perked up and thought, ‘Wow! I’ve never tasted that before!’ or, ‘This is so good, I don’t want to stop eating it!’ or ‘I’m enjoying this dish a lot. Let me gloat to my friend that she’s not tasting it.’ Everything was pleasant and I liked it. I just didn’t *like* it like it. The restaurant is on the first floor of a hotel but it’s not a ‘hotel restaurant.’ It doesn’t have the forgotten feel of an obligation to/for guests. It stands on its own. I wasn’t a fan of the lighting. I found it dim and with a red tinge. YMMV. Our service was very attentive and thoughtful. I was here with a largish group(10) and not once did our server seem put out or annoyed by the size of the party or demands of the patrons. She was well-versed in the menu, patient and observant. I appreciated her efforts towards making the dining experience a good one. Being that we were a large party, plates were shared(in theory) as was wine(again, in theory). Of the small plates shared, the cauliflower(za’atar, olive oil and garlic) and mushroom pâté(new to me; enjoyed the experience) were standouts. The falafal and fattoush were good but I can’t say that I’d return for them. By the time I got to have a meal all to myself* I was ready. I waffled between the lamb and duck. I decided on the lamb but I think I should have gotten the duck. The serving wasn’t huge but it was rich enough to fill me up. Served with rice, the mansaf was a cubed lamb dish with spices, onion, mint, and prepared as a stew. The description delighted my imagination. The execution okayed my senses. I wasn’t left thinking about the bold flavor or interesting approach. I finished the plate thinking, ‘That was okay. I think I’m full.’ Admittedly, not a ringing endorsement but, by no means was it offensive. It was okay. The thing is, when eating food off a menu such as Saha’s, my expectation is for more than okay. That’s it! That’s the disconnect. My expectations weren’t matched by the execution. I was expecting to be bowled over by spice, meat and flavor. As it was, I was bumped into. It’s okay. You can do far worse. But, in my opinion, you can also do better — especially for the price point(Saha is by no means a cheap meal out). *I am not averse to sharing plates but summayall gotta learn to bite bite pass and no bogart the entire dish.

We like Saha. The dining room is pretty dimly lit and the tables are just far enough apart to make this a perfect date spot. It’s situated within a quaint hotel in the Tenderloin. The dining room is a good size but not massive, so it’s good to make a reservation. Service has been friendly and knowledgeable on the menu each time we’ve gone. We’ve gone a bunch of times for dinner and once for brunch. The menu is very similar for both meals, with a few more breakfast-centric dishes for brunch. The food is very good, especially for vegetarians(the menu is clearly marked as to which dishes are vegetarian)! The menu has something for everyone though(meat eaters and vegetarians alike), without being long and unwieldy, like a diner menu might be. We’ve shared the yemeni fouel(thick pureed beans with spices — delicious and creamy without the cream and filling), za’atar cauliflower(full head of cauliflower lightly tossed in za’atar, garlic and olive oil and some type of light cream — having a bit of the sauce in every bite is key here), stuffed artichoke hearts with veggies & tofu(another hearty dish without being too large, as to not overfill you — I’m not a tofu person, but it blends well with the vegetables here) and yemeni okra(sautéed very well in a tomato broth). We’ve opted to stick with these small plates each time to sample more foods. And once you know what you like, why change something good! Surprisingly, we’ve never tried dessert here, but it is noteworthy that they do have a vegan option. The only odd thing about this place is when you go to the bathroom, it’s a full bathroom with a shower across from the restaurant, due to the fact that you’re in a hotel. Still, you can’t really fault them for that! Overall, a great Arabic cuisine option in SF.

FABULOUSSSSSSSS. I live one block from Saha and have been eying it since seeing their vegan menu options while walking by. My boyfriend and I finally went here to celebrate Valentines and it exceeded my expectations. ATMOSPHERE: Saha is located in the back of the Hotel Carlton and walking in it is like a little café in some village. The décor in this restaurant really makes it special, it is warm, inviting, and such a great date spot. FOOD/DRINKS: We both decided on the prix fixe menu($ 46 for meat/fish and $ 38 for vegan/vegetarian). This is a fantastic deal with a soup or salad, small plate and entrée. I believe the portions are made a bit smaller for this, but it is a great way to be able to try a lot of things on the menu and I was not overly full afterwords. We decided on a bottle of wine(all bottles I found are reasonably priced) and started with warm, soft bread with a nice herbal olive oil for dipping. I ordered the following(all made vegan — yayyyy) Za’atar Cauliflower(this cauliflower just melted in my mouth, it was a perfect start to an amazing meal). Stuffed avocado salad(nice crispy avocado that balanced well with the soy infused tofu) Red Curry — tofu, cous cous and veggies in a red curry sace(the sauce was so amazing, not too spicy but well balanced with flavors). SERVICE: Everything was perfect. The server was attentive in taking our order, timing out the courses(not too long of a wait in between) and got us everything we needed without being overbearing(which I like). I would highly recommend this place for a date night, or night with friends to go share small plates, wines, etc. I will be coming back to try more of the vegan options(and next time save room for dessert!)

For a $ 90 prix fixe, and more importantly, for Valentine’s Day dinner, we were expecting more. I’m not sure why our hotel sent us here. The food was okay — no worries there. However, the service was really off and quite distracting to our special night. First, we showed up at 8 for our reservation(booked weeks in advance) to find that they did not hold a table for us. They had our name, but they chose not to hold a table. So we had to wait. On Valentine’s Day. Next, it took fifteen minutes to get water. Waiters kept walking by, looking at our table, seeing we were the only ones without water, and chose to do nothing. Then they kept dropping someone else’s food at our table. Finally, they gave us the wrong check –which we corrected– but then even after giving us the right check charged the wrong bill to our card. So now we have to monitor our bill when that gets posted. All in all adds up to an experience where you’re forced to focus on the service snafus rather than your special night.

I booked Saha for New Year’s Eve. Prix Fixe menu was $ 95pp for the meat/fish menu for 5 courses, which is WAY more expensive than their usual prices, since we each only had one fish course and everything else we had was vegetarian. Food was mostly tasty, but portions were very small. In particular, the«main» fish course was delicious, but the piece of fish was less than 3″ x 3″ and was topped with a salmon kibbeh the size of a large falafel ball. It had been described to me on the phone as ‘a beautiful piece of halibut,” and I was imagining something considerably larger. It would have been nice to have some bread, and some non-alcoholic drinks beside water, coke and sprite on the menu. Service was just ok. Upon sitting down, we were asked to make our selections for all 5 courses from the menu(actually, only the last 3 because the first two courses didn’t involve a choice). Even though the server said there was no rush, it definitely felt like a production line, and the courses were served up pretty rapidly one after the other. With just one glass of wine(for one person), plus tax and tip, it cost $ 250 for 2 people. Hugely overpriced. I looked at their regular menu on the way out, which would have cost us more like half the price for the same amount of food. One side of me wants to return to try more things at a more reasonable price, but I’m also kind of annoyed and don’t feel like being reminded of spending $ 250 for so little.

This restaurant is a JEWEL!!! Is my kind of place because is not pretentious. I went with my husband first week of December and we were skeptical because service had bad reviews. I ordered a Fattoush salad and OMG!!! How can a salad be so good!!! and I’ve had Fattoush salad many many times, but this one was beautifully done. We also had the lamb stew(can’t remember the official name), the«dip» of the day and for dessert be prepared to be blown out of your seat. Cant remember the name either, but it was the pastry with banana and chocolate. I’m a baker, and this was top notch. Service was decent, food was amazing. I strongly recommend this place. The chef deserves a Michelin Star!!! I will definitely be back and bring friends to this treasure in the city.

Been waiting to go to Saha forever… and ever… and ever… and finally my Mother made reservations for a noon time visit(Sunday). SUPEREXCCCCCITED! I reviews the menu and had several dishes in mind and then… BAM. Brunch only.(insert devastation). We contemplated leaving(there were two servers and service was dragging to just take orders…) but with the rain, the ‘hood. the hunger… we just stayed. I ended up with the Yemeni breakfast and she the Lamb something or other. Both were OK, we were not blown away… not«lets come back for this» type of feeling. BUT, the server, a gentleman who said he normally works the dinner shift, was great. Very attentive, on point, and nice. He saved our experience. Two servers for all those tables is simply not enough, however. Those two were running non stop. and I even saw another table leave because of slow service. We agreed we will try the dinner menu so… To be updated.

After ten years we finally discovered this gem. But with The onslaught of Millenniums, we were lucky to get a table as the door opened at 6PM. What makes this a distinct eating spot evokes the image of twirling dervishes: the spot is open for its hotel guests for breakfast: provides brunch on the weekends as well as daily dinner services. You feels as if you stepped into any gathering spot in the Middle Eastern World, although Yemen is the featured nationality of this restaurant. I was struck by certain attempts at hospitality including a cloak cabinet, we were asked if we would like to hang out coats. We were seated in an appropriate location although not given the option to sit elsewhere. The menu is fantastic: all I wanted to do was lounge on a couch, bed or layers of dead animal furs and eat until I would burst or collapse. We compromised and and shared three appetizers: a pan cooked okra; a phyllo dough seared chicken ensemble; and couldn’t help ourselves from also ordering a plate of half hummus and babaganoush adorned with a row of mixed pitted olives. Prior we were served a basket of wonderful seemingly home baked multigrain bread with a dipping ointment which was magnificent. Each day, apparently, they serve a specific tea: last night was Sage: a great complement. My partner ordered a vegi«Palestinian» Couscous wit very little in the way of food beyond the carb: on piece of tofu. A very large bowl with a smattering of God at the bottom. I agreed with one of the various suggestions the concierge recommended: a stewed lamb dish with the semblance of a yogurt based sauce: the flavor warranted sopping it up with the divine bread which we polished off earlier. My dish while not huge was satisfying with plenty of substance, despite all we ate prior on the entrée. As we sat over our one hour reservation. Each and all tables filled up including one for 12 and another for 6. Clearly, we had discovered a hot spot and a treasure in San Francisco. I would give Saha a 3 ½ star for not warning us about how much food we were ordering; the small portion in the couscous serving; the price is almost too high averaging at $ 50 per person for a reasonable number and sized portions: with no alcohol purchased. With hindsight I would certainly return again, ordering more carefully, and always getting there as early as possible: As it is inside a boutique hotel, one is no doubt competing with its residents as well as the OpenTable reservation crowd.

I really enjoyed Saha and am so glad I discovered it! I was randomly driving by the hotel and decided to search up this restaurant. Turns out, it had great reviews and I immediately put it on my list to-try. This place has an incredible amount of vegetarian options as well as non-veg choices. There were so many dishes to choose between that we decided to go with the vegetarian prix-fix menu. That included a salad/soup, a small plate, and an entrée. The amount of food was perfect and I would definitely recommend this option, especially when it’s so reasonably priced at $ 38. My favorite dishes: Stuffed avocado salad — comes in a smaller portion with the prix fix menu but the flavors are fresh and delicious. Really really enjoyed this! The combination of the fried avocado, cous cous, and tofu was very unique but surprisingly tasted very good together. Cous cous lettuce wraps — their take on lettuce wraps. They were very refreshing and citrusy. The lettuce was very crunchy and the cous cous was a great filling for inside them. Vegan knaffe — crispy and flavorful dish. I couldn’t even tell that the cream cheese was vegan, the entire dish tasted so good! Maklouba — very unique flavors. It had a little bit of spice and a little sweetness. The yogurt sauce was amazing! I think it’s pretty impressive that out of the 6 dishes we ordered, I LOVED4 of them. I would not recommend the wild mushroom pâté or the veggie tagine. Both very bland! This place is great for large groups — they have a lot of large tables and their menu is extensive enough for everyone to enjoy something different. The service was great! I can’t wait to come back and try all new things!

My mom and I were guests at the hotel that the restaurant was located in making it an easy and convenient dinner choice. My aunt joined us and we made a 6:30 dinner reservation for my mom’s birthday. We were immediately greeted and seated at our table. Our waiter made his way over and introduced himself and took our drink order. He was very knowledgeable about the menu in addition to being super friendly and attentive. He made sure our waters were refilled and consistently checked on us throughout the night. In all, we ordered the Saha Red Curry, Spicy Seafood Tagine and the Mansaf. All three were very good, but the Mansaf was by far the best. That was what my mom ordered, but everyone at the table was going back to her plate for more. It also came with a very spicy red sauce that was to die for because I LOVE spice. All of the entrees were a good portion size and were beautifully presented. GREATSERVICE. GREATFOOD. A pricey restaurant, but worth it in the long run. The only negative experience was when the bill came. My aunt had informed the staff ahead of time that it was my mom’s birthday. For dessert, they brought her out a surprise treat and sang Happy Birthday to her. We thought that was icing on the cake for a great experience. However, we were then charged for that dessert on the bill. I was shocked by this because they never informed us that this would occur. She didn’t plan on dessert to begin with so we probably wouldn’t have ordered/paid for that if we haven’t had mentioned her birthday and now I wonder if maybe we shouldn’t have. In addition, if you are going to bring out a dessert at random and charge us for it, wouldn’t you ask which dessert at least in the event that she didn’t like the dessert we are apparently going to be charged for.

First time and such a fan Loved the place right from the décor to the food and service. Décor — Such a pretty place. Perfect for a romantic dinner or even a family one. They have lamps and drapes and colourful cloth all over. Takes you back to the lands of Turkey or Morocco. Food — Very well cooked food and perfect amount of spices. We ordered a couple of tapas like the sampler, lamb, kofta and scallops. The lamb and kofta was so succulent and very well made. Would definitely recommend that . We also ordered 2 entrees, spicy seafood and Siudiyeh or the beef short robes. Again Very well made. We wanted to try the sage suck but that was over so perhaps we have another reason to come back. For a group of 4, 3 tapas and 2 entrees was just right Drinks — Great selection of wine and beer The only thing I wish is they would add cocktails to their menu. The kind of Mediterranean and middle eastern atmosphere they have, some yummy cocktails would be a great addition to the menu Overall great place and great service by the staff.

My wife is Yemenite and understands middle eastern cuisine better than me and she loves this place. We come every time we are in SF. The ambiance is nice, the menu is extensive, with mostly Moroccan and Yemenite dishes. I recommend starting with the sampler, which is mostly Yemenite mezze, then a Moroccan tagine for main course.

I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my boyfriend. It’s fairly tricky to find a place for breakfast/brunch that isn’t mobbed with people by the time we roll out of bed. We did a fly by on another place up the street, and it was already brimming with people. So my boyfriend suggested we go here instead. Tucked in past the lobby of the Carlton Hotel, the warmly decorated Middle Eastern restaurant was nearly empty. My boyfriend commented that the décor was different from when he had dined here five years ago. Rather than the fine dining atmosphere he remembered, the space had a more casual feel. I looked over the breakfast menu, which was separated into American-style breakfast on one side and Middle Eastern cuisine on the other. I was tempted to order off the American side, but the dungeness crab eggs benedict on the Middle Eastern side sounded to good to pass up. We were served pretty quickly, and my breakfast exceeded my expectations. Not only was it loaded up with tons of real dungeness crab, but it was served with knaffe instead of english muffins underneath. The knaffe is slightly sweet and spongey, but not overly soggy. Topped with lemon bisque, the dish was creamy and sweet. My boyfriend ordered the malfoufa with a side of merguez. The malfoufa is a potato torte with poached eggs and bearnaise sauce. It’s delicious, savory, and has a great texture between the potatoes and the crisp phyllo. The merguez was nicely spiced, but very mild. Overall, the food was terrific. The server was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here again for breakfast to try something else off of the Middle Eastern breakfast menu. And I would definitely come back for dinner.

4.5 stars Great find. The food was consistently delicious. I didn’t know what Arabic fusion is but I enjoyed everything we ordered. Especially enjoyed the salmon baklava, the mushroom pâté, the grilled garlic shrimp, a couscous and roasted vegetables, a flaky pastry with chicken, and many others. Definitely plan to come back. Relatively simple décor and a tad on the dark side but great for a casual or fun group dinner.

I came with a large group and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Our waitress was excellent and took care of our hungry table of 10 with ease. She gave thorough explanations of the menu along with spot on recommendations. I followed her lead on the Siudiyeh entrée(Local beef short ribs braised with tomato, mustard, and cinnamon served ragù style with Yemeni noodles). As short rib is typically very tender I was shocked at how tender it could truly be. The meat and the sauce were both excellent, but the noodles were simply tossed over the top. I must have sampled 3 or 4 entrée’s from others and we all went to town on a myriad of starters. All of which was delicious. I was very impressed with my own dish, but of the other dishes I tried, I would highly recommend the Spicy Seafood Tagine, The Stuffed Avocado Salad, and the Lobster Knaffe.

This place was incredible. We went here as a group and it was decided ahead of time. I would have never thought to come here, or maybe chosen by myself to. But I am SOOO glad that we did. We got a heavy dose of appetizers, wine, beer, and bubbly. And with the mass quantity of apps that came out, I can’t remember them all. But you certainly remember what sticks out. I am personally not a huge falafel fan(really fun to say… just try it), but I guess I have just never had it prepared so perfectly. It was amazing!!! If you read through some of the other reviews, you can see who the two guys are who went halfsies on their Entrees. The Spicy Seafood Tangine was my choice. And if I didn’t have a pretty heavy obsession with beautifully tender lamb, I would have reneged on our deal. But the seafood had the perfect amount of sauce. The scallops, shrimp, salmon, and tun were as fresh and perfectly cooked as possible. You combine that with a sauce I would have eaten on broken glass, and you have yourself a winner. I would say with 100% certainty to get this. But as a person who is obviously passionate about his lamb dishes, I am torn telling you which way to go. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. Nice and rare. Any hesitations I had before going have now vanished. This will be a place I tell people to check out if they want my opinion of where to go in San Francisco.

This place has SUPER solid food — it’s quality and very hard to find anywhere else in the city. They also offer tons of gluten/dairy free options incl. quite yummy gluten free bread. I was slightly irked by the bill that came out at the end — note, the ingredients and cost of hiring such great chefs is likely high and we ate a ton(+ ordered 2 bottles of wine) but the bill came out to $ 75/person split amongst 7 people which I found a bit pricey($$$ is fully representative). Another huge perk was that we were able to book a table for 8 on a Saturday night 24 hours in advance. And the ambiance is very nice — appropriate for a birthday dinner, which is what we did. Service was also great, though food was a bit slow to arrive. Solid experience in all.

I figure the name Saha must be short for something like Sahara, I’m probably wrong, but when I heard the name read aloud, all I could think about was a Kardashian telling me this place was«Sa-Ha right now»(So Hot Right Now)… put a really drawn out surf type accent on it and you’ll get what I’m saying. . better yet, why don’t you get yourself into Saha Restaurant and order basically anything off of their menu… like anything. The pun basically comes to mind… It’s like Sa-Ha right now… omg! There was a flurry of food, wine and bubbly that evening shared amongst our group so to remember everything we shared in terms of appetizers and snacks before the mains came is a little blurry, however my co-worker and I, both torn about what to order, decided to share our mains with each other like a old married couple. Super cute right? Even if we are two surely looking dudes, it’s totally cool to feed… err… i mean share with, each other right? Well it happened and it was glorious He ordered a spicy seafood tagine which was like a 5⁄6 out of 10 on the spicy scale for me, a good bite, with not much of an after burn. That said, the mixed seafood(scallops, shrimp, salmon, ahi tuna) was massive, easily some of the best seafood I’ve had in awhile. Plus the veggies were amazing. For my main, I went with the Lamb Loin main course, which was served crusted with pistachio & mint over a celery root mash, seasonal veggies, saha bbq sauce, and mintsage-raisin chutney. OHEMGEEESUS!!! The lamb was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was so tender it nearly melted in my mouth — simply incredible. Overall a fantastic experience and one I’m still dreaming about weeks after, I hope I get the chance to come back again and sample other menu items I missed out on trying #FoodFomo Eatcrest Out!

This restaurant has loads of character, wonderful staff and delicious food. Tucked away just past the Carleton Hotel lobby, the dining room is beautiful with Middle Eastern décor and lovely staff. We came in with a group of about 10 and we ordered a ton of delicious food. The menu is huge, and there’s loads to choose from. Our server was super helpful and recommended a couple of her favourite dishes in each section. I sampled the fatoush salad, the malufa and delicious falafel. Everything was very flavourful and delicious. The stuffed avocado with tabouleh and couscous was phenomenal and easily my favourite dish. For my main dish I ordered the curry chicken which came with fragrant rice and seasonal veggies. The chicken was cooked to perfection, but unfortunately the spice was a little too much for me to handle. That, compared with the very warm temperature in the room made it a little uncomfortable, but the food was delicious. Absolutely a great place to visit if you’re a vegan or love Middle Eastern.

I thought I’d written this review a while back, but must have forgotten. Some of the experience has faded from memory but here are the bullets: 1) Delicious food. Everything my cousin and I ordered(and shared) was very tasty and worth ordering. I know we got the falafel and hummus platter, and some type of enormously delicious salad and a few other things, Yum. 2) Service was very slow. Only reason it’s not a five-star in my book. We had to wait way too long before we saw food(or drinks), and between dishes.
