I’ve had a lot of bad boba experiences that usually don’t merit a Unilocal review but this was notably shoddy. I got the taro milk tea with boba and it was heavily watered down, to the point where I couldn’t taste the flavor, and there was no sweetness whatsoever. The boba itself was okay, soft but with little flavor as well. I’m hoping it was just a bad batch that I received, because if this is their standard taro boba milk tea then I would not recommend it to anyone.

So I walk in, there are no customers. The woman at the counter couldn’t be bothered to greet me, stood there with a blank stare. I ordered the classic boba tea and she told me the boba was an extra for a total of $ 4.10 which I find to be too pricey for a bubble tea. She served me the drink by putting it on the counter. No words from her like here you go or thanks. Low marks for high prices and uncaring, rude service. The tea and boba were average, not worth the premium price.

Tea = delicious! Huge selection. Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea = Roasted brown sugar milk tea with pearls. Awesome. Perfect pearls, too. I had to go back and change my order to 50% sweetness. $ 4.10 Classic Milk Black Tea = strong but their normal amount of sugar is way too sweet. They didn’t ask about sweetness level, so it was at 100%, which was definitely too much. He ordered it hot, instead of iced. $ 3.55 Service = okay. Having never ordered here, and being forced to order on the spot, I ordered but they didn’t even ask me about the sweetness level, which was bad for him. Prices = reasonable.

This is my go to Boba place whenever I’m in the city. BUT the only thing that I like here is the Classic Milk Tea. I’ve tried a few other milk teas like the Okinawa or the Hokkaido and I just didn’t like it. I can’t speak for the non milk tea drinks though because I’ve never tried them. Classic Milk Tea never disappoints! However, the boba itself is a hit or miss.

My favorite spot for Bubble Tea in the Richmond. Its ALWAYS delicious! I always get my tea less sweet since its sometimes a bit too sugary, but the boba is perfect! My favorite is the Passionfruit Green Tea and the Honey Milk Tea! Also super fast service and friendly staff!

In all fairness, I came here on a Sunday the hour before they closed. But, all other things being equal, this was probably one of my most disappointing boba experiences. I got the Okinawa(brown sugar milk tea). First off, they were out of boba and oolong tea. Second, the milk tea itself tasted bitter at first and then watered-down once the ice melted(I had also asked for no ice, but that’s not what I received). They only gave me the option of getting 80% sweetness, which made it seem like they were trying to get rid of the last«batch» of tea for the day. Why stay open late if you’re going to serve lower quality tea? I’d be willing to give Sharetea another try, but definitely a different location and earlier in the day.

Been here a few times. Truly unimpressed. If the Mister didn’t find a spot right in front of the shop, I’d probably can skip it. Well, never hurt to give it another try. I felt the cashier got a bit impatient with me asking a few questions. This time, I ordered the Okinawa milk tea. The tea lacked flavor and boba was a bit hard. They only have one size and the price is considerably reasonable.

I just don’t get the hype. I give this place so many chances ’cause I’m in the area a lot and most of the time I throw my drink away after a few sips. I’ve tried everything from the cremas, fruit teas, milk teas, fresh milk(I think that’s what it’s called), and ice cream drinks. The milk tea tastes watered down, I have to order it extra sweet to at least try to enjoy it. There’s always a long line. Not to order but to wait for them to make your drink. They take SO long sometimes. I’d rather go to Infinitea across the street. There’s just so many better boba places in the area. I give it an extra star because the service is friendly and I actually enjoy the drinks with the ice cream in them. But anything tastes better with ice cream anyways lol.

Had to write a review for today’s visit. Usually this Sharetea location would be ranked as my least favorite one just because my drinks almost always turn out to be too watery. I always order one thing at every Sharetea. Green tea with fresh milk. If it’s iced, I’d add grass jelly. If it’s hot, then no toppings. The past several times I’ve been here, I’ve tried to order my drink hot and was simply told it was impossible to do that. I was a little confused because I’ve done it at the San Mateo & San Jose locations many, many times before. After being told they didn’t serve that at this location more than once, I thought I would just give up trying to order it hot… but today, they were able to make it for me! Yay! At first, they were a little hesitant with my request because they said they couldn’t make it hot. But after I insisted that other Sharetea locations did it, they offered to try and make it for me(even though they warned me it might not taste good) and if it wasn’t the way I wanted, they’d give it to me iced. It was perfect. Thank you so much! :)

The best boba shop in SF! They have a large variety of drinks and is similar to other ShareTea locations. This is the only ShareTea in the Bay Area that I’ve been to, so I can’t compare which location is better, but it’s definitely one of the best boba shops I’ve been to in SF. I love their Okinawa Milk Tea and Grapefruit Green Tea. Like any ShareTea location, you can adjust sweetness and ice levels, which is great. I love this because sometimes I don’t want a really sweet drink. They only have one size, which is fine, and prices are fair considering the quality of their drinks and ingredients. They use fresh fruits for most of their flavored fruit teas(no syrup or powders), which I really appreciate since this results in a tastier and healthier drink. They also have many additional toppings other than boba, such as coffee jelly, which many boba places don’t have. Cons of this location is that they are small, so seating may not always be available. Also, they are located on Geary, so parking can be hard to find. Otherwise, this is my favorite boba place and I come here every time I’m in SF!

I kid you not but I used to just get a large drink from sharetea and just drink it for dinner. But it wasn’t in this sharetea. Actually there used to be a sharetea close to my flat when I was living in Hong Kong. So sharetea holds a lot of memories for me. But back to this one, their fresh taro milk tea is BOMB. It’s so creamy and really tastes of taro. I love it but it’s a bit heavy and a bit expensive. So I usually get their genmai or their regular black milk tea with grass jelly. Their milk teas are super fragrant and really taste like the individual teas. And the milk is light and doesn’t cover the taste of the teas. I usually get 30% sweet because the grass jelly kinda adds some sweetness into the drinks. Also I really liked their kiwi green tea drink with extra ice when it was summer in hk, it was sooo refreshing and helped me beat the heat! Loveeee you sharetea

Smaller than its San Mateo counterpart and less frequented, but similar in quality. I personally like their TAROMILKTEA which has a strong taro flavor, and is not too sweet. Customizing your boba drink should be considered standard(% of ice, sugar level), however the staff simply assumed we’d go for the regular way and didn’t ask. Would go back but there are plenty of other boba options in the city, including the up-and-coming Boba Guys.

I agree with my Unilocal friends’ reviews for this place. The tea flavor isn’t as strong. Although, I like that the boba is soft and chewy. There are better boba places in the Inner Richmond. Quickly, for example :p

I first visited ShareTea when it originally opened a while ago and have loved it since. Each drink is crafted nicely and they have great combinations with ingredients that, interestingly enough, mesh well together(my favorite being the kiwi green tea with ice jelly). The drinks can be pricey, ranging normally from about $ 4-$ 5 if you get toppings. Their walls are decorated nicely with paintings of popular drinks. Look around if you’re ever contemplating your order! They have a pretty pleasant atmosphere. ShareTea is often crowded. Customers there can tend to be loud and inconsiderate when they occupy the tables there. If you walk into a noisy store, don’t be surprised because they’re almost always busy. One of my only complaints. I’ve gone there plenty of times, but have found myself to become frustrated with the cashiers. When ordering several drinks at once, they often mess up and give you the wrong drinks. They make everything fairly quickly unless there’s a line. Overall, I enjoy going to ShareTea. There are things that they could improve(ex: cashiers’ correctness) but if you’re looking for a boba place with a delightful variety, come to ShareTea.

For some reason, we always end up here after getting an afternoon snack at Hot Sauce & Panko(chicken wings). Guess some milk tea is an awesome choice to wash down the wings! Smaller location on Geary with about 3 tables inside to seat about 4 people each. There is usually a line, depending on how busy it gets. They make the drinks here pretty quick! Check out the flyers posted around the stores and at the cashier for drink specials or new drinks(some of their new items don’t make it onto the TV menu, don’t miss out!) I always like the drinks at ShareTea — strong tea flavor! I’m a sucker for the Oolong Milk Tea. We got lucky with our group of 5 and snagged a table when we got our drinks. We hung around for about 30 mins to an hour just chatting it up. It doesn’t look like it, but they also have a small bathroom in the back in case in you need to go from drinking all the milk tea. Just walk past the table that semi-blocks the hall into the hallway and it will be on your right. First Unilocal Check-In gets you free coffee or agar jelly!(Coffee jelly is a little tough, you definitely need to chew)

I’ve tried this place twice on 2 different occasions and… still not a fan. It’s ok… I got the regular bubble tea– that’s usually how I judge a bubble tea place. Maybe I put too much sugar… I only asked for regular. Anyway I was not impressed. The second time I tried the strawberry ice blended drink… again it was not impressive. Tasted a bit milky. I personally like Vivi Bubble Tea in NYC for the blended ice drinks. Prob would not have come here again. Gave it a 2nd shot… still disappointed.

This location is much less crowded than the one near the Metreon, which is nice. The drinks here are on-point… nothing that stands out as super special but good enough that I would come here regularly if I lived close by. For the first time, I decided to try a crema drink. I got the Mango Green Tea Crema which was SOFREAKINGGOOD. Tasted like an orange creamsicle only mango. Would recommend. There are tables where you can sit and chill with friends. Good for small groups and conveniently located near restaurants, making it an easy decision to venture over to Sharetea for a sweet and refreshing drink after a savory lunch.

Favorite tea place by far! Boba is always on point, tea is made just right and you can customize your tea sweetness and ice amount, what’s not to like? I’m always looking for a place that serves good tea creama and this place does not disappoint! I do have to say that this location is rather small and there’s not a lot of tables and seats. Also parking is super annoying to find. But other than that, this is the best tea shop on Geary!

Je me suis laissé convaincre.

I ShareTea… sometimes.(yes, I can be that person in front of you in line, rapid-fire reciting multiple orders with all the toppings/sweetness/ice info) At other times, I get unSharedTea all to myself and destroy the evidence before I get home so no one knows I didn’t share: x Anyways, enough about the share, let’s talk tea. Sharetea ranks in the middle of the top tier of milk tea places in the Bay Area – I personally prefer Gong Cha and iTea, but Sharetea has good tea quality and I’ll instinctively stop by when I’m in the Middle Richmond area. Their menu is huge with milk teas, slushes, creamas, etc. along with a variety of fruit flavors, toppings, and tea types. My go-to’s are the high mountain, oolong, matcha red bean, green, and classic milk tea(coffee milk tea is my lifeline during exams) +/-ice jelly or aloe. Although boba is popular here, the anecdotal aloe-is-good-for-your-skin gives me an excuse to splurge on a topping. Oreo milk tea is my guilty pleasure, but seeing how indulgent and pricey it is, I restrict myself to getting that only for my stamp card freebie. Once I was a little too greedy though, ambitiously ordering my oreo milk tea with ice jelly, and it turned out quite strange. So if Sharetea has decent tea with photogenic cups, why the knocked off stars? My chief complaint is how they play mind games on prices. Especially the $ 0.50 extra charge for no ice(!!!) Plus, it’s written in fine print in the corner of the menu, you receive no warning when ordering, and they don’t give you an itemized receipt so how they charge you is a bit of a black box unless you take extra extra time to figure it out(took me probably a dozen drinks before I realized I was paying extra for my no ice orders). It’s perpetual confusion as their menu prices don’t include taxes, they’ve raised their prices at different rates for different drinks, and their prices are all over the place with some drinks randomly costing $ 0.10 more. Also, their rewards grants you a freebie q12 drinks instead of q10(or for iTea, q9!!) The verdict: solid on the tea and consistent quality, but easy to get ripped off… ohs wells, if sharing is caring, then maybe drinking Sharetea makes you a better person :3 On an unrelated note, their holiday cups look like ugly Christmas sweaters.
