I recently moved back to the City and was so happy when I heard Griselda was still here! She was my go-to stylist before I moved up north. She does amazing up-do’s and also cuts men’s hair. I recently went in to get some blunt bangs. She did them exactly how i wanted them(in addition to fixing mistakes that a previous stylist at another salon had made). If you’re looking for a stylist, give her a call. She’s a total sweetheart and great at what she does. You wont be disappointed.

tl;dr: DONOT make an appointment here and only attempt a walk in on Saturday I called on Monday to make an appointment on Friday at 10:30am. I called on Thursday to confirm the appointment. I showed up on time and he casually replied that my hairdresser is coming in at 1pm and asked if I could come back then. After I mentioned that I made an appointment, he shrugged it off and said that there’s nothing he can do. Also, don’t bother walking in here on weekdays. In the past I’ve attempted to come in at 10 or 11am on Tuesday or Wednesday and they were not open. I asked the hairdresser if their weekday hours are accurate and he said no.

Great hair dressing place in the Mission district. Reasonably priced and great customer service. Griselda, the owner, is an expert at hair coloring and hair cut. A relieve to have found her after going through expensive and bad hairdressers. All my family comes here.

Good haircut for only 20 bucks. I was able to get in right away on a Saturday morning, and they gave me a shampoo and good cut in about 30 minutes. Nothing fancy, but they seem to know what they are doing.

My husband and I just moved and finding a hair go-to is a challenge. Ronald was great, I took my husband to get a cut there and he was so sweet looked the picture of what he wanted/usually looks like– he did amazing. He even cut it in a way that it doesn’t need any gel, and it’s growing out great! great price too. Will def. go back for him, and I will give it a try as well

I dropped in at 4pm on Saturday and asked if Griselda had time to cut my hair. She asked me to come back in 45 minutes(perfect — I got a mani/pedi across the street). When I came back(with some pictures of a cute, short layered cut), she was ready to go, and gave me a fantastic cut! Not just adequate or about what I wanted, but perfect. Like people walking up to tell me how cute my cut is perfect. I’ve done the $ 70 and $ 80 cuts, and not gotten one so good. I’m so glad Shear Delight is around the corner from my house, Griselda is definitely my go-to person now.

I live in Milpitas and I make the drive down every time to have my haircut by Ronald. The price is great and Ronald knows exactly what my hair needs, not to mention he is a hair drying king! My hair comes out with so much body, his technique is unparalleled. I’ve had my hair done at a lot of places over the years and Ronald is among my top 3.

The city doesn’t lend itself to many good men’s haircuts at a good, manly price. After moving here, I’ve seen my wallet ride a roller coaster of emotions when it comes to getting the hairs trimmed, from $ 75 for a far too ‘artsy’ look, to $ 15 for a far too ‘hedge-trimmer’ look. Shear Delight was simply a family-owned… delight. Not only could they get me in the same day I called, but the end product was great(perfectly accentuating the naturally awesome and chiseled features of my head), and the price was right. If I were to hire a stylist to keep my white-guy-fro at bay with style & on the cheap, I would definitley go back here.

k so since I have some spare time I can finally write a review on this place, I Absolutely LOVE! I have been going to Ronald for years, and I mean years, since I was 8, I’m 24 now, sooo you do the math lol. I’ve strayed away a couple of times to try new looks, but have failed each time, dont know what I was thinking when i went anywhere else, but let me tell you no one can cut my hair like him! He doesnt do up-dos, he pretty much he just cuts your hair and styles and it and thats really all you need! ohhh and Griselda is a doll! she does eyebrows as well as cut and style, haven’t really gotten my hair done by her because i go to Ronald for that but she takes care of my brows and shes the absolute best! after all the places ive gone to shes the best for eyebrows! and her touch, you can even barely tell shes doing anything… And what I absolutely love about this place is that they’re like a family!!! always laughing and telling stories! i love it!

I went to see Irene twice last year. The first time was spectacular; I received a plethora of comments exclaiming the layering style. The second time was not as prepossessing, but it was still decent enough to help with getting a job. –1 star for consistency. Irene’s professional and friendly. She talks about almost anything, from Latin culture, to biotech, to how to work aps for her phone. It’s nice to work with real people. I paid $ 15 then $ 20 for my first 2 cuts.

I came to Griselda to fix my hair after a horrible visit to notorious for hair. Griselda did a great job on my hair she colored it, cut it and gave me a treatment that left my hair nice and silky. Great place to get your hair colored or cut the name says it all it was truly a Shear Delight!

Solid simple haircut place. Easy to get an appointment, good prices, nice people. Pretty good results too even with my challenging cowlick-laden head of hair. Excellent value.

this place was okay. my haircut turned out decent — she did what i wanted for the most part. the wait was long(a half hour at least). the price was more than i expected after reading Unilocal reviews($ 30). the hairdressers seemed pretty nice though.

I’m not a very picky haircut customer — with my curly hair, it’s hard to detect mistakes… and I’m also pretty frugal with my hair most of the time… so I had no trouble trying out a $ 25 haircut at Shear Delight, literally a block away from my apartment. I really had nothing to lose! I walked in expecting a lame excuse for a trim, and walked out with a sassy,(accidentally) short haircut that I’m actually pretty happy with. My stylist’s name is Irene, and she cuts straight hair and curly hair really well, length is no matter. She’s one of those hairstylists that actually has good hair — sometimes that’s rare to find at $ 25 haircut places! The place is clean, and I noticed that the other stylists really know what they are doing — no beginners here. There’s always a good mix of men and women clientele, dye jobs, and good looking hair. I’m pleased!

At first, I was ready to give this place a two star review. When I first arrived, there was only one person on staff, and her(late) greeting was rather«yes?» than«Hi, how can I help you“ish. Then after a brief wait, my haircut was underway. Small talk was kept to a minimum, but friendly enough. And well, things ended up with my directions of «just a trim/clean it up» being interpreted in such a way that left me thinking I got my hair cut too short. Yes, I realize those instructions are relative, but other places have done a better job with the same conditions. Then on top of all that, they only take cash. Which i knew going in, but still annoying. So all that would result in a fairly solid two-star review. But then I waited a couple days, and well… I like my haircut now. It turns out pretty nice after a little bit of time and I’m happy with it. So up this review goes to three stars. Now I’d like to bump it up to four, and we’ll see after my next visit. I will remember to give more detailed direction though, that’s up to me.

I’ve gone here at least three times and have been satisfied each time, especially considering it costs $ 15 for a men’s haircut. The«stylists» are friendly but not TOO friendly(yes, Irene is great). Deal and a half as long as you’re not looking for anything too ambitious. I’m also a sucker for puns.
