Sheila Vergara

I feel I was robbed. I paid for professional hair styling but received novice hair style by someone of little or no experience. Not to mention most other hair stylists are 30 dollars cheaper than Sheila. Will not use this person again.

Shelia has been styling my hair for around 15 years now. She is magical! Not only is she amazing at making my hair look great, but she is such a wonderful, happy and positive person. I always leave the salon feeling 110% better than when I came in. Thank you, Sheila!!!

She really knows what to do with your hair. I have a lot of thick, long hair that weighs down, and she always helps my hair to feel light and give it movement while maintaining length. I LOVE HER. I’ve since moved across the bridge, but will continue to make my way to her. Hell, I’ll follow her if ever she should move — which I and all of her devoted clients hope never happens.
I first met her 5 years ago when she did my sister’s wedding hair and make-​up for bride and bridesmaids. She did an amazing job on all of us! Beautiful, natural, flawless. And I haven been going to her since I moved up here to SF.
And to top it off — she is a hoot to to chat with! Such a sweetheart. Not only will you get a great do, you will enjoy every minute of it as well.

I am so lucky to have found Sheila! I stumbled upon her on Unilocal after moving to the bay from the east coast. Fact about me: I had never gotten my hair cut by anyone except the woman in D.C. who gave me my first hair cut ever. SO, I was bewildered about how to even find a new stylist and nervous to try someone new. But I’m SO GLAD I did! Sheila worked wonders with my curly hair and gave it more definition with the cut and color than I’ve ever had. I never thought I could have a «fun» hair cut because I have curly hair, but I always leave her studio with a slightly new look that I love. Sheila is a color whiz and expertly changes up the color with the seasons so it always looks natural.
I always have so much fun in Sheila’s studio – it is cute and cozy and Sheila is so fun to chat with. One of the best things about Sheila to me is that when I told her I don’t like to spend a lot of time doing my hair in the mornings she totally got it and made sure that the cut she gave me was easy to maintain. Also, when I told Sheila I wanted my cut to be a little more edgy but worried about being professional at my fairly conservative work place, she gave me the perfect haircut that is fun and unique, but also still completely professional for work. Thank you Sheila for saving me from east coast «mom hair» and for helping me feel like a million bucks with every visit! :)

My friend who has been seeing Sheila for her haircuts suggested that I try her out and now I don’t really go to anyone else. She knows how to cut hair that fits to your face shape and it grows out nicely. I never really rocked bangs until I started visiting Sheila. She is meticulous about her craft and cares about her work. And she is very friendly and has good energy. I would recommend her to others. Two thumbs up.

so after logging into my Unilocal account after starting one (like a year ago), i decided to write my first review. i had no doubt that my first review had to be on sheila /​winc!
i’ve been seeing sheila consistently for all my hairdressing needs for probably 4 or 5 years now, but i probably have known her for at least 10 yrs-​thanks to the close community of hair dressers that all worked at hubert braun in serramonte :)
sheila does amazing work and she really works with you on that look you are trying to achieve. she’s honest, gives you personal attention, and she’s super fun to chat with!
i’ve never left her/​winc studio feeling unhappy with my new ‘do. i’d recommend her for haircuts, highlights/​color, and up-​dos. i’ve done them all (and have gotten many compliments on my hair) and will continue to be a loyal client of hers until she retires from hairdressing or until im old and gray.
i’ve sent over an old coworker and most recently, my little sister for their hairdressing needs, and i know they are big fans of sheila as well.
to sum it all up, i know it’s tough to find a hairdresser that you know and you trust; but if that’s what you’re looking for, then sheila’s your gal.

Sheila did my bridesmaid hair for a wedding and it was beautiful. It was really natural and totally elegant — I loved it. It looked done without being overly done, if you know what I mean. She is excellent and I plan to see her soon for a cut and color.

Sheila is my beauty secret. I let her take care of me, and walk away happy for months. Her cuts are good for months. They grow out nice and with style still. It’s rate to find a stylist whose ‘do grows out well and not looking like the ‘hong kong’ special.
Book her a week in advance. She is busy. She also does weddings, and is so flexible in accomodating everyone’s needs.
I still went to Sheila when I lived back East, flew home to see her… She’s really good and been with her for over 5 years now.

Sheila is the BEST! She is reasonably priced and cuts curly hair. You curly hair girls know how hard it is to find a good haircut with someone who understand those impossible rings — well — meet Sheila. She envision your hair and works to make you the best looking bell at the ball.
She is opening her own salon mid September with her makeup line.
Book her for your next cut, wedding or prom — but she is the gal to see.
