If you like plain, unoffensive food, you might be ok with the meals here. Things actually have improved a lot in the past year. While it used to be truly awful, the new management has, uhh, managed to up the ante. Now you can get a decent pasta dish, grilled chicken-and-brown rice salad, or even some nice hot clam chowda(Fridays only) for lunch. The décor is mid-80s cafeteria, not too charming. The dining room is vast, well-lit, and sparsely populated — a great place to chat with a co-worker, read the paper, or just zone out for a few minutes before you head back to your mind-numbing routine in your beige cubicle. If it’s warm outside, bring your food out to the sun deck. Although the most of the seating appears to have been modeled after Inquisition furniture, it can be a nice place to grab some sun on a toasty summer day. 92 times out of 100, you’re better off heading outside the building to find some sustenance.

omg, ameer, i can’t believe you wrote a review of this place. i think i saw you and your friend yesterday morning. you both got breakfast burritos and you were calculating the cost of something on your iPhone. anyway, this place is filthy. John the manager is nice, but probably too nice. he needs to get on frycook’s ass and have him scrub that grill till it shines. and maribel could wipe down counters and shelves between ringing up people’s food. sometimes i get a couple of eggs in the morning. the soup isn’t made here, its from Au Bön Pain, so its not too bad and i’ll get a little salad, but i stay away from the grated carrots because i think they carry them over from the day before and they taste sour. its really too bad because there are not a lot of lunch options in the area and it would be nice if the company cafeteria was decent. considering the employer, you’d think they could afford to run this place well.

the sky high café is our 9th floor cafeteria, which really isn’t that sky high. you can’t get to the 9th floor of our building unless someone with access signs you in… and really you’re not missing much. the chef is cool, the food isn’t overpriced, and the checkout lady is nice. sometimes i get a small side salad for less than $ 2.00, if i bring lunch. other than wednesday(hot dog day) i really don’t look forward to the sky high café food.
