YES!!! Finally had success on our second attempt to find the truck, first time was our own fault. The food is delicious, flavorful and portions are perfect. I couldn’t even finish my Loco Moco, which I first saw from someone else in the elevator at work and asked 20 questions(who, what, where can I get me one!, etc). The guys today were beyond friendly and offered recommendations to improve our meals. The tots are perfectly crisp and not soggy or oily in any way, Napoleon Dynamite would have been proud! Ugh, I have food coma now after that awesome Loco Moco. Two Thumbs up guys! I’ll be back for a Hurrito next time.

I came here with a couple of coworkers of mine to try this place out. The workers are friendly and they were operating out of a food truck. The location was good because there was seating around. I had the beef burger and crispy chicken burger. The portions were small but very tasty. The beef burger tasted pretty good like any good well made burger but I felt that the main show is the crispy chicken. It was actually bigger that the bread roll it came with. However, I do not see myself coming back here again due to the price.

Slider Shack catered our wedding last week. They were not only amazing to work with the food was awesome! John was super responsive(never more than a few hours to respond to emails) and Javier, the truck manager was upbeat, efficient and kind to all the guest. Everyone loved the food at our wedding. I was worried about long lines outside the food trucks but the service was so fast there was never more than a few people in line at a time. My sister is still talking about the MOA chicken and the crispy tots. Also great for Gluten Free guest, all the sliders could be put over tasty rice. We are so happy with the decision to go with Slider Shack.

I honestly wanted to take a picture of the BBQ pulled pork and the Kalau pulled pork, but I couldn’t stop eating, I was starving and the sliders are slamming. The sliders were packed with meat and both were phenomenal and for 4 bucks each it’s a damn steal. The thing is, there aren’t many affordable let alone delicious places in the Financial District and this place hits on both.

Pretty good sliders. I had the fried chicken and the pulled pork. The chicken was really juicy and batter was really tasty, but lacked any sort of flavor or salt. The slaw was just standard issue. The pork was a bit dry, but that that BBQ sauce was delicious! I also had the tater tots and man oh man! I love me some tots! Delicious! The dusting of flavor on the tots went well. Didn’t care for the ketchup with I believe some tabasco. I would’ve preferred just plain old ketchup. Will definitely go back.

Sliders very overpriced($ 4 for a single bite), meat was dry. Tater tots were alright.

tried the Kalua Pork Hurrito(Hawaiian Buritto) which was a take out order, wow what a change of pace. You have a slow cooked Kalua pork, mixed with cabbage, black beans, rice, and tater tots for good measure. This one heavy burrito makes for a solid lunch option. You have the crunch from the cabbage and crispness from the tater tots. But most of the flavor is the port alone. Pork is still tender and juicy, but no runny mess while eating the burrito. There was a little bit of the Polynesian Green Sauce in my burrito, but it’s still mild, and I did not need to add any more sauce. The mac salad was light on the mayo which was good, but I was feeling pretty sleepy after eating the hurrito. Also try Avatar( ) or if in Minneapolis, to to World Street Kitchen( )

Tried the truck while it sat outside Festival Pavilion during SF Craft Spirits Festival. Tater Tots = crispy and well seasoned. Definitely a win with spicy ketchup. Bento Box = pulled pork, coconut jasmine rice and cole slaw. Pork was tender, coconut jasmine rice was delicious(I want to know how to get coconut into my rice, now) with some crunchy cole slaw. Prices = moderate. Less than $ 15 for all of the above. Service = friendly and quick.

The BBQ pulled pork sliders are amazing. Get some tater tots too. They’re spiced just a little bit and they’re delicious.

I was never really interested in trying Slider Shack since I can make little burgers and pulled pork at home but gave them a try at Sunday Streets today since I wanted a small snack. It looks like their prices have changed over the years since they used to have cheaper pricing for multiple sliders. All of them now are $ 4 each. I tried the original burger. If it’s even possible the patty size looks like it shrank over the years. So now it’s a tiny patty with cheese and a pickle for $ 4. I regretted not getting the pulled pork or moa since I could see those meat fillings were actually bigger than the bun from other people’s orders. I would possibly give them another try when I have an appetite for a burrito but pretty turned off by the original slider. Would much rather trek to Super Duper for a regular sized, good quality burger.

I know that having so many 5 star reviews may take away my credibility, but to be honest, it is too easy to come on here and slam a business because things didn’t click for me that day. I think we should all try and write a majority of good/great reviews and support people who are putting out the extra effort to gain success for their business in this world. Not just log in when we are angry and VENT! Okay, enough preaching and now for the do as I say moment… SLIDERSHACK aced my birthday party last week!!! It was national burger day and I had decided last minute to add some catering to an annual event that I have on my birthday to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Of course I hit up Unilocal in search of someone to help me with the theme. I discovered the Slider Shack and gave them a call and left a message. John Cade got back to me the same day, and after a great conversation and a run to my driveway to check the dimensions it was all settled. The crew arrived with a fully loaded truck and great attitudes. The menu was slightly customized for allergies and a GF friend and it was PERFECT! Everyone was raving about the food, and the nice friendly staff. THANKYOUSLIDERSHACK for helping make my birthday and CF event a great success! Hot tip… the CLASSIC is perfect and the tots are divine!!! I liked the other options as well and made sure I took a bite of everything they brought, but honestly when you can nail a common slider the way they do, it says a lot about the time a business takes to develop their offerings.

Fair prices, amazing BBQ pork(sweet & not too spicy), very satisfying serving, processed their line quickly, and with good communication — upbeat attitude, but not invasive. My compliments to the chef(s)!! You guys showed up just when I needed you and did a great job with a large group of people at a convention area. Thank you!

Yummmmmmmy!!! The Slider Shack is so good in so many ways. The owner John saved my butt! I had a school event expecting 200 people and the truck we hired cancelled last minute. John took the job without hesitation. His crew showed up early, the food was amazing and the service terrific. We had so many compliments on our food truck selection. People were asking for Johns number to cater upcoming events. So happy our other food truck cancelled or I never would have found the Slider Shack. I had the pulled pork platter that came with coleslaw and a side of tater tots. O-M-G! Tater Tots RULE!!! Especially their’s! Hot, crispy and spicy. Soooooo good. The pulled pork had so much flavor and just the right level of heat paired with the smooth cool coleslaw was delish. Definetly stop by the truck for great food and if you are planning an event you should call these guys. The rock and deserve all 5 stars.

Slider Shack has been around the block for a while, but I think their sliders hold their own pretty well even though a whole platoon of slider trucks have opened(and closed) since then. Personally, I like Slider Shack. Their Sliders remind me of those old school Burger Bundles from Burger King they released back in the 80’s, not those pull apart mini burgers they released a few years ago. I’ve had a sampling of 4 of their sliders. As you can see, these sliders are about the size of 3 – 4 bites and I like how they serve each slider with Hawaiian Rolls so they have that added sweet and buttery taste to them. THEORIGINAL — Marin Sun Farms 100% grass fed beef, Pepper jack and a pickle KALUAPORK — Slow cooked a minimum of 15 hours with Hawaiian Alaea salt, Spicy Polynesian green sauce and pickled red onions. MOA-FRIED(CHICKEN) — Brined for 24 hours, panko fried chicken breasts topped with Spicy Shaka Slaw BBQPULLEDPORK — Slow cooked for 10 hours and slathered with Slider Shack’s homemade BBQ sauce I’d say my favorites were the Original and the Kalua Pork. I love the beef and the pulled pork is very tender. That’s just my preference though, they’re all pretty good sliders, but those two would be the ones I would come back for more often. Another thing that’s pretty cool is the new extended menu that includes burritos and, for the gluten-free folks, bento boxes. Kudos to them for trying out new things to diversify their menu. I have yet to try them, but I hope to someday. I’m just really glad to see that Slider Shack is still doing well and wish them continued success.

Slider Shack caters lunch for my office every once in a while, always serving their horritos. They are quite a hit amongst our crew. I personally always go for the one that contains fried chicken and tater tots — sounds heavenly, doesn’t it? Pretty tasty stuff; basically a burrito with some Hawaiian-inspired flair. It’s like Chipotle and a Hawaiian BBQ joint had a baby together.

Love the Slider Shack! They make fantastic food and the staff is super friendly. I’ve had their food 4 – 5 times now and each time was great(consistency matters to me!). A couple of pieces of advice about the Slider Shack: 1) The website & Twitter lists where the truck will be on any given day. You can literally find them all over the city. 2) They cater! I had them cater the late night food at my wedding and it was delicious. All my guests loved their food. 3) They serve more than just sliders. They have Hurritos(Hawaiian style burritos), plated meals with rice and protein, and awesome side dishes.

4 a.m. My eyes crack open. There’s a sharp stabbing feeling in my stomach. I try to go back to sleep, but I can’t ignore it. I sprint to the bathroom. Eight hours before, we were enjoying sliders from Slider Shack. I got Kalua Pork and Black Bean sliders and happily ate them. The Polynesian green sauce was tasty on the pork slider. The black bean sliders were different but still good — a nice alternative for vegetarians. I didn’t think anything of what I was eating — everything tasted fine, and I was having a grand time. But let’s go back to my very, very unhappy state later on. I couldn’t go back to sleep after that, and I had a full weekend ahead of me. I ended up getting over the food poisoning by 11 a.m., which can be considered a short time for food poisoning… but it was a very, very long seven hours. Judging from the reviews, it seems like Slider Shack is normally ok when it comes to how they prepare their food. Because we catered a ton of sliders, maybe they were in a rush and didn’t fully cook the pork /used old pork because they ran out.

What’s better than having tray upon trays of mini burgers at your office for the next 2 hours? Nothing… except tray upon trays of a side of tater tots. Those were my favorite. My company have Slider Shack cater one of our events and everyone enjoyed them. We had the original beef, kalua pork, moa fried(chicken) and a vegetarian option. The moa fried when quick! Seems like it was the crowd favorite and sadly I didn’t get to try a bite. All I really had was the original beef which was perfect because I’ve been craving a burger and that totally hit the spot. Overall, John(the owner I think?) was super nice and easy to work with and kept the burgers flowing. Hint: get the tater tots. The burgers are good, but that’s really all you need to know.

The Slider Shack food truck introduced some new items to their menu about a week ago, and while I was going to try them eventually listening to the rave compliments from two of my friends encouraged me to try it right away at this past Saturday’s San Francisco Vintners Market. As I often do for this event I was there volunteering through One Brick in exchange for free admission into the event and a generous $ 10 food voucher from the event’s organizers. The voucher turned out to be the perfect amount in trying Slider Shack’s new Hurritos or Hawaiian Burritos. Here’s the Hurrito menu I captured from the side of the food truck( ). Slider Shack had long been a favorite of mine for their delicious beefy sliders( ) using freshly ground beef from Marin Sun Farms. I often visit their truck when it’s parked at the SOMA Streat Food Park. Slider Shack’s Hurritos brings together some very unique ingredients and the final product was not just delicious but super filling too. I failed to take a photo of the entire burrito, but these are of the fat and heavy variety that you know without even taking a bite that it’s going to leave you stuffed or as overstuffed as the burritos are. I ordered the Moa-Katsu Hurrito( ) and waited for just a short time as these are made to order. The first thing I tasted was the sweet, smoky BBQ sauce which would provide a much needed side note within the burrito. The coconut flavor in their coconut-jasmine rice is very prominent and even though I’m not a huge fan of coconut anything I really didn’t mind with all the flavors going on within the burrito. The cut up pieces of their brined and panko-crusted Moa chicken breasts remained crispy inside and it took me a few bites before I came upon some of Slider Shack’s delicious little tater tots which were still hot and crispy. With all that was going on with the ingredients I just mentioned lost within the final product were the flavors of the crunchy cabbage slaw and the Lomi Lomi which I only noticed in texture. The Hurrito served as the perfect«sponge» as you will for soaking up all the delicious Cabernets and Cabernet blends I was about to sample inside the market. I think I would definitely order this again.
