Huge portions, great food. We ordered the garlic noodles and it was large enough for 3 – 4 people when you paired it with a main course of meat. Yum!

Very good. Better than Tommy’s. Better than Minnie’s. Brisket was extremely tender. Not cheap, but ok for the neighborhood. I recommend.

My husband has been waiting eagerly for this place to open. Laurel Heights has been in need of a good BBQ spot and we are happy with the turn out. Both mild and spicy sauces have good flavor but I really liked the spicy which wasn’t too intense. We got the pulled pork sandwich and the pork ribs which were both really good. The fries were crispy and had a nice seasoning. Will definitely order here again.

Sampled the garlic noodles and they were delicious. Ordered the chicken tender sandwich. I liked the selection of sauces. Had a side of mac n cheese that was delicious – needed a bit of salt. Reasonable prices for the neighborhood. Very friendly staff.

Tried the brisket and beef rib platters. We ate every bite of every side and meat offering. It’s quite good food. My only «beef» with the place is with the ribs. I had hoped for more than two considering there isn’t much meat on them. They are large in size but there was too much fat for my taste. I’ll go back again for sure.

Street Parking at Friday noon today is a challenge on Sacramento Street. The Special today was the Corned Beef Sandwich and I chose the Brisket Chili as a Side. Great meaty chili has a bit of a spicy kick that I like. The sando is a thick slice of good corned beef on a soft bun with romaine lettuce and yellow mustard. A tasty lunch.

I’d pass. Was very excited for another restaurant in the neighborhood, but I was quickly disappointed. Ordered wings which should be pretty easy. Not so. Took 30 minutes and when I got home I realized they were mostly undercooked. Yikes! They seemed totally overwhelmed and clueless. Let’s hope they just need to get the kinks knocked out. Net net, I’d wait awhile.

Great BBQ has some to Laurel Heights! While it did take a while for this place to finally open, I have been there for several days in a row now. I have tried the pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket and beef ribs. All have been very good. I will definitely keep going back!
