St. Emydius is a nice and cozy venue for CYO Athletics. I come here weekly to watch my friend coach her boys’ and girls’ basketball teams in fun and exciting games. Parking here is painless. If you can’t find street parking, the small lot across De Montfort Ave. is free. Just make sure to be careful while driving since there’s so many kids around! The gym itself is small but clean. Spectators sit in upstairs bleachers and aren’t allowed on the courts. Family and friends need to wait outside in the hallway to meet the players after they leave the court area. These young players always leave me impressed with their talent and conviction. My friend and all the other volunteer staff also earn my admiration for their dedication to youth sports. If you know anyone involved in CYO Athletics, definitely come out to support them and enjoy some great games!

This is the gym where all the CYO play off games occur. CYO games are mainly played by the Catholic and Christian schools in the Bay Area. I’ve been to quite a few of my friends’ kids’ games here. Facilities are nice. The bleachers are upstairs and there is a protective metal mesh installed on the metal barriers in front of the bleachers(unlike Presidio Middle School’s — where young kids can fall to their deaths. Why did the school district not upgrade the upstairs bleachers for safety reasons is beyond me). The facilities are clean and so are the bathrooms. There’s a vacant lot at the side where you can park but I’m sure they charge for parking since there was an attendant there. We parked on the street — for free!
