Stopped by on Saturday, January 16th before my flight to grab a bottle of water and a magazine. Water selection has declined since I last dropped by about a year ago. They use to carry big bottles of Fiji, SmartWater, etc. They had a selection of small bottles of water, but I like having one big bottle for the plane and drive after landing. Ended up just getting a magazine instead. I hope they expand their water selection again. If not, I’ll probably just drop by a food vendor to get my water.

I bought 4 separate items. The guy rang it up and then just looked at me. I asked if I could get a bag to hold all of this. He says that costs $ 0.25. I said, I would have gladly paid for the bag, but why didn’t he ask me before finishing the transaction. He just shrugged his shoulders. I said I can’t carry all of this. He said it’ll cost $ 0.25, and I could put it on my credit card. I asked if he was serious and he said yes. The guy behind me in line started laughing. The point of this being– don’t trust some jackass behind the register to upsell you on a bag you obviously need. Make sure to ask for one.

I’d recommend buying your snacks outside the airport because the mark-ups here are crazy. It’s almost cheaper to buy chocolate in cookie-form from one of the restaurants or buy a bottle of water from a restaurant. I wanted something sweet and almost bought some chocolates until I remembered the massive candy store in the same part of the terminal. Sorry, Sunset:(

The usual store at any airport terminal. I got 2 bags of cashews to the tune of $ 7.98. That will teach me to not remember to buy the nuts at your local supermkt before a flight out. This place was busy for whatever reason, I had to wait behind several persons to make my purchase. They have most stuff you need — gum, drinks, water, nuts, trail mix, magazines.

There’s nothing quite like early-‘80s nostalgia. Yes, Sunset Magazine reminds me of what I thought being an adult would be like – back when I was five. I’ve learned better since then, but that very quickly dated font still does it to me. So although Terminal 2 is brand new, Sunset News feels very comfortably old. And good for it. Three bones is too much to pay for 20 oz. of soda, but you and I already knew that. I want to go three stars, but I cannot.
