Love all the things — cookies, bread pudding, all of it(ok, the snickerdoodle may be a favorite)

The owner is nice, the cookies are good but they cost! yes it was warm and moist and a good size. And I will stop every time I see it but if the price just doped a bit I would be buying twice as meany. haha maybe it’s a good thing it’s like 5 $ a pop then

This woman Marina is incredible!!! You have to get the butterscotch cookie custard. She is so sweet and deserves tips on tips! This is the first quality establishment I’ve encountered while living in this city for three years. I have never met a more kind and wonderful woman that makes such amazing treats!

I had the opportunity to try Cookie Time one Sunday while getting tea at Leland’s on Polk. I had the butterscotch cookie custard, which was graciously served by Marina to our table along with directions to cookie heaven through the custard. Let me tell you, her directions did astray, and I have been to cookie heaven and back. It was like warm cookie dough(but it was assuredly cooked thoroughly) that melted in your mouth and just disintegrated onto your tongue. It’s perfect.

Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Fantastic!!! Asked to switch to vanilla instead of the olive oil ice cream. We’re just not that fancy.

A cookie truck that bakes fresh cookies? Now I have seen everything. == Food == Chocolate chip cookies for $ 5. The cookie was warm and moist. Size of the cookie was about palm size. Milk for $ 2. The menu doesn’t say what kind of milk, but it’s whole milk if anyone’s wondering. I was expecting a small bottle or something, but it comes in an eight ounce cup. == Overall == The cookies are pretty good and tasty, but they’re really expensive. For that kind of price and the high(mixed) Unilocal reviews, I was expecting a cookie that was mind blowing. Turns out to be a regular cookie. Kind of hard to justify $ 2.5 per cookie. Skip the milk. It’s not worth it and not very portable.

This one time I tried baking cookies, the texture came out completely wrong. I can’t say for sure what the problem was, I think I might’ve mixed the dough too long because the cookie ended up sort of bready — too light and fluffy. After having the cookie from Cookie Time, I’ve realized I’m not the only one who has faced this problem. I had high hopes for the cookies from a truck called Cookie Time, but I was disappointed to discover the worst cookie $ 3 can buy you. To its credit, the cookie was freshly baked, warm, and soft in the center. Maybe it’s the whole wheat thing but cookie itself was flavorless and insubstantial. And there were barely any chocolate chips! Maybe chocolate chip cookies just aren’t the specialty here, although the menu is limited enough that you’d hope all 3 items are good. But given this quality, I wouldn’t even go back to try the famed $ 8 cookie custard…

Cookie Time bakes cookies in the truck’s convection oven and you can smell those cookies from a distance. Who can resist the scent of freshly baked cookies? During my visit, they had snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies, cookie custard, bread pudding and beverages(including milk). * Chocolate chip cookie($ 3) : Sure it’s on the expensive side but it’s fresh out of the oven and still quite warm, plus they make it with organic ingredients, whole grain(it’s better for you) and two kinds of chips(milk and dark chocolate). It’s a big cookie though quite thin. The cookie was extremely soft, a little gooey, almost underbaked, with crispier edges. I liked how the whole grain added a nuttier flavor and the batter wasn’t as sweet as usual. It wasn’t loaded with chips. I prefer more chips and a firmer, thicker cookie.

The cookie custard at Cookie Time is now on the list of my must-try San Francisco desserts, and it should be on yours too. Seriously, you won’t be disappointed. Keep in mind that I wouldn’t even consider myself a «cookie person»(ice cream is more my thing), but goodness gracious that barely-baked cookie was OUT of this world. The woman who worked there was very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend you go!

Cookie Time sells cookies, milk, hot chocolate, bread pudding, etc. locale: soma streetfood(7⁄28) eats: snickerdoodle(3) –very large, thin flat cookie, –soft, chewy, bit of cinnamon taste, that’s about it. –my virginal taste of snickerdoodle, nothing exciting. will chalk it up to experience. 3.5 stars.

I think my previous comments were a little mean spirited so I’ll just go with the following: Let’s just call a spade a spade, and be honest about your«Cookie custard»…you call it a partially cooked cookie, and I call that raw cookie dough that’s been heated in the microwave. It was okay, but what made it horrible was the price. $ 8 is way too much. If it were $ 3 I would have been able to forgive the fact that it felt like I got duped by a marketing ploy. The three times I’ve been to your cart after dinner, you were out of the bread pudding. I’ve been coming to your cart around 8:30pm. I can understand running out of something that you served during dinner, but you sell desserts, shouldn’t you have enough of one of your more popular dishes to serve to customers after their dinners? Either make more or have more selection so you have something to offer me when the bread pudding runs out. Good luck with the truck, unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Uh, oh… the name of this dessert truck inspires me to break out in song, which in turn reveals something very embarrassing about me(besides the fact that I’m tone-deaf)…‘Troop Beverly Hills’ used to be one of my favorite movies as a child! I’ve been singing ‘It’s Cookie Time, It’s Cookie Time,’ but sadly, I’m not singing this truck’s praises. I came across Cookie Time a few weeks ago at SOMA StrEat Food Park. I ordered: – white chocolate chip cherry($ 3): warm, freshly baked, very tasty & very close to 4 stars. – bread pudding($ 8): blech! Too many nuts, kind of chewy(& not in the good way.) I should’ve passed & gotten the raw cookie dough thingy. Two stars for this nothing-special bread pudding with a price that *really* left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure the rest of the cookies are spectacular, given that I quite enjoyed the one I tried, but I’m put off by the less-than-stellar, overpriced bread pudding & am not likely to patronize them again because of it. 2.5 stars, but upgraded to 3 stars for ‘eh, just ok.’ *presses ‘resume’ on my DVD remote* ‘Beverly Hills, what a thrill!’

Much like the post-Decision shenanigans when the Big Three funneled submarine-like pressure onto their upcoming season by guaranteeing more than a handful of championship rings, Cookie Time’s $ 3 price tag per cookie uncorks a geyser of hype that far exceeds the quality of the actual product. If Cookie Time’s Chocolate Chip cookie were hidden in a Chips Ahoy(chewy version) package or Costco cookie crate, even Cookie Monster would have a difficult time picking it out of the lineup. The cookie itself is absolutely fine, a viable option on a potluck table and probably would not stay available on a kitchen counter for long, but it is not $ 3 special. The Heatles validated their premature celebration this year, so there is still hope for Cookie Time to unveil a hype-worthy cookie.

Warm cookies to go with a hot chocolate? Yes please! So yummy, but I was hoping for something a little more unique. I guess I’ve been spoiled by Anthony’s Cookies and Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous. However, if they aren’t around, this will do in a pinch.

I finally got a chance to try CookieTime after reading about them on a friend’s fb. Their cookies are huge but the taste is average. Nothing special to write home about and for the cost… I much rather spend it on Anthony’s cookies. BUT!!! Their Cookie Pudding is TODIEFOR!!! OMG! Soooooo delish!!! I will go back for the cookie pudding! Although it is really decadent… I find myself craving their cookie pudding and wanting to forget about healthy eating. Try their cookie pudding. You won’t regret it!

WOW! Most amazing chocolate chip cookie EVER! You know how delicious freshly baked cookies are when they’re straight out of the oven? Yeah, the cookies from Cookie Time are just like that! I was really surprised actually because this is a cookie truck, so I was kind of wary of how good a cookie from a truck would be. I got a chocolate chip cookie and when the lady handed it to me, it was still warm! The chocolate chips were perfectly gooey! And damn, the cookie is HUGE. Wait… it doesn’t even end there though! All of the cookies are made with whole wheat flour so I didn’t even feel as bad for gorging 75% of the cookie in one take! I don’t usually go to this area, but I’m so glad I did! It just kind of sucks that I’ll have to take a 30 minute bus ride: P The lady working is so adorable and friendly too! She wears the best blue chef’s hat I’ve ever seen! :) Plus, there’s a UNICORN on the cookie! Just the fact that Cookie Time uses a unicorn to promote their products is worth at least 5 stars right there! GOGOGO! IT’S COOKIETIME, ALLTHETIME! I didn’t get to try their famous molasses spice cookie(guess they ran out?), so I will DEFINITELY be back! :D

Umm. did I miss something? I don’t see how this is possible — I ordered one of every cookie on the menu. Including a cookie custard. Sadly, I just wasn’t very impressed. Yes, I picked up one of each cookie. I don’t live nearby, and didn’t want to wonder if I missed getting THE cookie if I DIDN’T order one of everything, so there went $ 16(4 cookies x $ 3 a piece + $ 4 cookie custard). The warm cookie custard, which had the likes of a not-fully-baked cookie, was not… my cup of tea. The chocolate was super bitter(and this is coming from someone who loves dark chocolate) and had a weird cheesey hint(I know; I said it was weird). And my cookies? None of them(chocolate chip, molasses spice, snickerdoodle, and dark choco hazelnut) were bad, but none of them were memorable, either, especially at their hefty price tags. They definitely weren’t the best cookies I’ve ever had. Not sure how Cookie Time missed the mark for me, but I won’t be going out of my way again to return.

best cookies i have EVER had! the most perfect thin, crispy, chewy, warm, full of yummy goodness… and almost too big to fit into the bag cookie. just thinking about it makes me salivate! we tried the snickerdoodle… which i hold very near and dear close to my heart… super amazing! we also went with the cookie custard… takes about 5 minutes to make but totally worth the wait! it’s a fresh, hot baked, chocolate chip yummy goodness in a cup which you have to eat with a spoon. whoa. it was so good that i had to run back to the truck yelling, «this is the best freakin cookie i have ever had!!!» she probably thought i was crazy but she was thankful for the compliment. =D everyone needs to try cookie time!

I have to admire anyone for going out and starting a business and putting up with adversity. I went around the Holiday season and her truck was adorned with twinkling lights. The chill in the air made it a perfect night to grab some cookies and coffee. I’ve been here a few times and been very happy with everything I’ve tried. The favorite is the Molasses Cookie. Others are available and switch from time to time. Gluten free as well. Each cookie is hot and seem fresh out of the oven. Her coffee is better than what I can get nearby and is made fresh by the cup. I don’t get out here often, but might have to make more of an effort.

Serendipity – While hanging out at a café in between a talk & a dinner in Noe Valley, I was looking out the window & saw a food truck in the parking lot across the street. Hmm… what is that? So, we wandered over to check it out. Ooo, a cookie truck! I like this… I have a sweet tooth in case you haven’t figured it out. It had been open only for a few days, & we got to chat a little bit with Marina, the nice Latvian woman running the truck. Cookies are baked on the truck, so they’re nice & fresh! Sampled the molasses spice cookie(yeah, I had dessert before dinner), & it was warm & soft. The guy in front of us in line left with a bag of several cookies. I’m not sure if she varies her flavors, but she had chocolate chip, molasses spice, & I think 2 other items(I forget what, I think a muffin & another cookie) available. Located in the parking lot on the south side of 24th between Sanchez & Vicksburg, at least when I visited them. I’m not sure if they’re on twitter or if they move around.

This food truck opened for biz-nay on Nov 25, 2011 but had some problems with the transmission. I got some warm cookies fresh from the mobile oven the following Monday with the guys still on the truck making sure it stayed fix. Unfortunately(or fortunately!) chocolate chip was the only flavor and the mom was erasing all the other flavors including some muffins that smelled delicious but weren’t ready. $ 3 per cookie is a bit steep and while they get points for being warm, something was missing. I love my baked goods but maybe ’cause they’re organic or what-not but it wasn’t the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. But they’re A-ok. I hope Marina has success with the truck, especially since the truck broke down once already and word on the street is that Martha & Bros across the street are trying to shut her down(boo to businesses afraid of competition!). In the meantime, get ‘em while they’re hot 5pm-9pm weekdays, I think longer hours on Sat-Sun, 24th St @ Vicksberg(where the farmer’s market usually is). Beware if using Google maps since it may take you to the Noe Valley ministry a block away.

Cookies? In a truck? It was bound to happen. This friendly daughter & mother truck was parked in Noe all weekend… so I approached it and got one of each: chocolate chip, molasses spice, and gluten free oatmeal chocolate chip. I only got that latter for the sake of trying it… typically I’d steer clear of anything gluten free. The cookies are huge(which offsets the 3 bucks a pop price tag). Coffee is grind to order and from the local Bicycle Coffee Co. — seemed to take longer than it should have… even with the made to order caveat. The best part, aside from the yumminess, is to see wave upon wave of smiling people approach the truck and say ‘ooh cookies’. The second best part, is watching the bitter drivers trying to get into the open & vacant parking lot full of cookie lovers. And to that old woman who blew her horn while I was standing next to the truck waiting for my coffee… chill out, smile, and get a cookie next time.
