I have to disclose: this is a dance production that I have been volunteering behind the scenes of for the past three years.
I really love the diverse community of dancers it creates. The diversity is not just in their looks or family ancestry. The choreography of the show dictates that traditional dance from India, Russia, Persia, Caribbean, Spain, Africa, China, US and more are all performed. So, the dancers with belly dance, flamenco, ballet, samba, kathak, and hip hop experience all come together. With Katy’s leadership they create something that is so much more than the sum of its parts.
Also, the kids are pretty adorable, especially when they play the sheep in ancient Israel.
