I got my lashes done here and I had pieces fall out the next day. I am very disappointed that I wasted my money, especially because now my lashes look crazy with random missing pieces. I get that pieces will eventually fall out but they were supposed to last 2 – 3 weeks, not 1 – 2 days. I should have known not to come here because the nail polishes were all dried out. The manicure and pedicure looked good but chipped within a couple of days as well. I wish I would have checked the Unilocal reviews before coming in.

I only went here because Jolie’s elegant spa a few doors down wasn’t open yet. I came in for a full leg wax, the First Lady that started waxing me did not prep my skin with powder. She was talking on the phone and fiddling with her earbuds while waxing me which made for an awkward situation. A second lady came in, and rewaxed what the First Lady waxed. She was nice, made sure the wax wasn’t too hot, but still didn’t prep my skin with powder. She missed some spots too which I had to tell her to go back and rewax. All in all a less than mediocre job, I could have done the Same mediocre job at home with an at home kit. Long story short, one of the ladies is nice one is awkward but all in all I’m gonna need to shave when I get home…

Love going to get my mani/pedi and eyebrows done here. Super great value for the quality and service. You may have to wait unless you make an appointment in advance. Great for big parties. Best time to go is in the a.m. also open late past 5 p.m. Highly recommend to family and friends.

I went in for a wax for my legs, but – oh no – never again. Being close to CCSF, I needed a place that was close by so that I could get my legs waxed. I thought, «Great, I’m saving myself time.» Upon entering, I noticed there were no customers, that should have been a warning to me but I thought it must have been a slow afternoon or something, so I didn’t think anything of it. The room where the waxing took place was dingy and had bad lighting and the floor was sticky from the previous waxing sessions; it made walking awkward ’cause the bottom of my shoes would stick to the floor. The lady doing the waxing didn’t prep my skin with powder, she just started using these rollers that she had on rotation in a little caddy that kept them hot. Now, the skin around my inner thigh is very sensitive and she rolled very harshly over it. I told her that it hurt and to be gentler but she didn’t seem to care. I swear it was torture, I thought I might have been imagining the pain but I’ve been to other places where the waxing didn’t hurt as much. Besides, my legs are not very hairy to begin with so she shouldn’t have been so rough. Later on when I got home, I noticed that my skin had broken in those places where she had waxed roughly, it was hurting so bad afterwards. It was definitely not worth it. A good salon would not be using cheap rollers to wax their customers… I warn people not to go here because not only is it unsanitary but it’s overpriced – not to mention the fact that while I was getting waxed, the lady wouldn’t talk to me at all. I felt like it was a cold, impersonal environment.

I was going to Unilocal it beforehand, I swear. But then I got distracted and just went to the closest nail place to my new apartment. Mistake. MISTAKE. Least professional waxing I’ve ever had. The price is low for a reason. This woman skipped the top part of my eyebrow. I had such a terrible experience while she waxed my upper lip though that I didn’t realize it until later and just kind of wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. First off, there is no back room for waxing like most nail salons. She did this right in front of everyone getting their nails done. No privacy for we ladies with hairy lips, I guess. She proceeded to wax random parts of my face in a seemingly nonsensical manner, choosing parts of my eyebrows and lip to do at random, not cleaning up with tweezers afterward, letting the wax get nearly too dry to lay the strip down and leaving bits of wax on my face afterward. She did at least apply lotion following the wax so that some of the red would stop because my face stays red nearly an hour after I get it waxed. Plus, I have been to nail salons where they try to minimize the amount of pain involved – this woman was not one of those people. My eyes were watering from the pain I felt in my upper lip(and I’ve been getting it waxed for years). Not worth the cheap price. I am going to try one of the other 15 billion nail places on Ocean Ave from now on.

Not worth my money at all. Got a facial here & all they did was slap a mask on me and blast steam. They lady who gave me the facial disappeared for more than half of the session talking hella loud in Vietnamese next door. So fucking annoying I’m trying to relax here … Ugh never again. Oh and also she even failed at putting the mask on. She got it all over my lips. Ugh.

This place is a dump! I had a few hours to kill before class. I walked in for a pedi after my first choice(a few doors down) didn’t have time to take me. I tried Unilocaling this place before i walked in but somehow couldn’t find it so i figured it was new n I’d give it a try. BADCHOICE! First of all, I waited 10 minutes to be seated when there were plenty of chairs available. Then, i had my feet soaking in water for another 20 minutes(while a lady who seemed like she may have been the owner walked around, ate, and brushed her teeth in front of me and another customer) I then asked how long it would take and that same lady said she would do it. After 5 minutes of preparing herself she started. She took my old nail polish off and i didn’t even notice since she was barley touching my feet! I looked down and saw that she had 5 inch acrylics on n i was like ahhhh no wonder! She didn’t want to mess her nails up! So i stopped her n told her I’d wait for the other lady… she then started to giggle and speak to the other associate in her language so i got up n walked out. wet feet n all, with one of my toes missing color! DON’T COMEHERE! SUPERDOOPERSHITTYSERVICE! PLUS, I think that broken down spa chair messed up my back. Negative 27894341 stars for this dump!

WORSTNAILPLACE I HAVEEVERBEENTO! I was not even greeted when I walked in, after sitting down and soaking my feet I realize that one worker had barely started on a woman next to me and the other woman working was walking around eating and talking on the phone, after 15 minutes and no one even saying a word to me or lettin me know up front it would be 30 minutes I asked for a towel dried my feet and left! Terrible customer service and a dirty place with shitty nail polish options! Try Jolie a block down!!!

Never again. I came to this place once. It was the day before my friend’s wedding and it was the only place still open after we got done doing some last minute wedding stuff. Everyone there was real friendly. They did a decent job on our mani/pedis… BUT as we’re sitting there waiting for our nails to dry another girl was in to get her eyebrows waxed. Me and my friend watched as they DOUBLEDIPPED the wooden spoon back in the hot wax. Sooo not sanitary. My friend and I look at each other sooo surprised and grossed out. Mind you this was later on in the evening… who knows how many times they double dipped in that thing.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. Well, I don’t know that you can call this place a salon. It’s dirty, and the service is poor. It is really cheap, so this is a great example of getting what you paid for.

I’m sorry, this place is terrible. Although I know the son of one of the workers, they are very unfriendly if you are not a frequent customer. I don’t get my nails done too often, but I do come in for eyebrows. This girl, Sandy, is the worse. I’ve only gone here twice for eyebrows and she fucked mine up so bad I wanted to cry. I specifically asked for NATURALNOTARCHEDEYEBROWS. I even showed this girl a damn photo, and she gives me ONE eyebrow that is decent, and the other a fucking circle. What the EFF is that? AND I took my mom to do her nails here because it was close by, it was mother’s day and we needed to be at my grandmother’s house so we were kind of on a tight schedule. This place is terrible. CHEAP and terrible… I DON’T HAVETOBEANGRYTOLOOKLIKE I AMNOW. THAT’S HOWFUCKEDUPMYEYEBROWSARE.

I’d recommend this place for waxing your eyebrows. I think it’s like $ 9? Cheap and quick and the lady shapes them nicely. Their manicures are relatively cheap too. I got a french manicure here once, it was quick. It’s something you can do with practice.

I come here every other week to get my acrylic fix, manicure and eyebrows done. The eyebrows are well done by owner Sandy while the acrylic is beautifully hand crafted. My only complaint is the horrible service of getting my nails prepared during the manicure before the paint. My cuticles are not soaked in proper solvent, warm water is only used. The end results are dried, cracked cuticles and nails. Also their selection of colors are horrible. Do bring your own. You really get what you pay for. A manicure is $ 7, acrylic set $ 18, eyebrows $ 7, and a pedi is $ 14. Honestly if you want the quick and easy cheap fix this is the place to go. Edit: Ask for Sandy if you’re thinking eyebrows, lashes, or extensions. She specializes in it and takes very good care and time for each of her customers. She is also the owner of top nail. I usually come in for a full set, and while I have got it done by other ladies at TN, I prefer Sandy’s understanding of what I like and her dedication to making sure it’s shaped and cleaned around the cuticles the way I like it. For a full acrylic set its 18 very inexpensive. I can get my nails did every other month and my eyebrows done less than 30 all together!
