Wow does this place get busy during happy hour! But I still love this place. $ 8 for a good cocktail during happy hour, love it. The menu here has a pretty big variety of drinks. I really liked their lychee martini which wasn’t too sweet. Their strawberry margaritas are also great and dangerous. The inside of this place is pretty small, like what you’d expect from an SF bar. So keep in mind that seating can be limited. They have quite a bit of tables though and people are friendly enough to squeeze in everyone. They also serve some food here, but didn’t try any of that yet. Also got to mention that I really enjoyed the bartenders here. They’re really on top of their game, and can tell when you need something. Excellent service!

Went here for taco tuesday last week. The tacos were delicious, as were the moscow mules and strawberry margaritas :)

This is a fun bar in SF if you are looking for speciality cocktails which seems to be the trend. Great happy hour till 7 with cocktails for 8.00 and craft beer for 5.00. The 4 stars is for the quality of drinks served here. Great atmosphere for sipping drinks not recommended for a first date unless your looking to scream to talk or exchange a few words. This place is packed and only 2 bartenders and 1 waitress but you wouldn’t know it as our drinks continued to come. Definitely recommend.

Solid bar, great cocktail list, friendly bartenders, nice looks, and happy hour prices all day Mondays. What is there not to like???

I like coming to this place whenever I am searching for a bar in the Union Square area. It’s a nice vibe and really good cocktails. So far I’ve only tried the Lychee Martini and Peach Perfect and both of them are really good!!! $ 10 for a cocktail, $ 8 during happy hour(all day on Mondays!). I freaking love this place. Service is excellent as they make sure you never have an empty glass in front of you! Definitely one of my favorite bars in SF!

Another of my favorite FiDi bars. Drinks are well-made and offered at standard FiDi prices. Their happy hour menu is solid and the bar itself has a cool feel and lots of couch seating along the wall. The bartenders are attentive and friendly and the central location of Topsy’s makes it stand out. Also the massive«spring chairs» lining the bar are pretty cool.

I came to Topsy’s for the first time last weekend during SantaCon. This was my group’s last stop and I think by the time we arrived most of the Santa’s had spread out through the city a little more. We found an open spot in the lounge/booth area right away with enough space to sit 8+ people. The service is friendly and speedy — we all got our drinks quickly even with a crowded bar. I only stayed a short while but enjoyed my time at Topsy’s and would love to come back again for a meal or to watch a sports game.

The bar stools are on heavy springs, so difficult for a short gal to get stable — no footrests. The bar was packed on a tuesday night after work. DRinks are in the $ 9 range, and while they were well-crafted, they were weak and the service was slow(b/c they only had two gals making drinks.) (On Tuesday’s) The $ 2 tacos were cheap, but pretty tasteless.

The ladies pour a STROOOOONG cocktail! The space is roomy and dark and there is always good conversation to be had, only a barstool away!

Decent watering hole. Circus/toy store like theme. Went during happy hour so the scene was full of professional millennials looking to wind down. Atmosphere was kind of loud but still personal enough to hold a conversation. It gets pretty packed in there to where you have to compete to get a drink at the bar. I’m more of a beer drinker than I am a mixed drink drinker. But I tried two of the menu crafted beverages. Can’t remember the names, but one was very reminiscent of a Moscow Mule and the other had cucumber garnish and flavor. Refreshing, but nothing outstanding though. I realize I’m from the deep south where a dollar stretches a lot further, but I went here during happy hour where they claimed to have a happy hour special. It was $ 8. A happy hour special to me is 2 for $ 8 or 2 for $ 10. Or 1 for 1 specials. Or maybe even a shot of Jaeger or something. Jeez! But overall, the place was pretty good!

Just like a fun house, Topsy’s is full of amusement. Bouncy seats, drinks and snacks make for a fun happy hour. I met up some friends on Tuesday, August 25th around 6:30pm. Drinks: *Old fashioned: Jim beam bourbon, brandied cherry, angostura bitters, orange twist($ 8 happy hour, $ 10 regular) *Old flame: basil hayden’s whiskey, angostura bitters, flame of absinth($ 12) The only thing that interested me on the HH menu was the Old fashioned. It was lighter than I preferred. Tasted a little watered down. The Old flame was fun as they lit it on fire by spraying absinth. Gave it a nice smokiness. Food: *Tacos: chicken served with pico de gallo, home made guacamole, shredded lettuce, no chipotle sour cream($ 2 ea) *Roasted tomato bruschetta: basil, parmesan and balsamic reduction($ 8) *Topsy’s pizza: home made crust with extra virgin olive oil; Margherita: fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil($ 12) Since it was Tuesday, Topsy’s was serving tacos. You can choose from chicken or carnitas. A good taco for $ 2 since it came with guacamole. I liked the salsa they provided as well. I had one of the bruschettas. I’m not a big sweet and savory person, so I found the balsamic reduction to be a little too sweet. The pizza was good. Crust was soft with a nice chew. We sat at the bar which was perfect. The bartenders were attentive and entertaining. I had a great time catching up with friends, eating, drinking and just having a fun time.

This place is by far one of the best bars in the Financial District! Great place for happy hour drinks and food! Well crafted cocktails and good selection of craft beers! Also, the staff here are all amazing and friendly! With that said, I highly recommend going there on Saturday nights. The atmosphere is very cosy and ideal to converse. Did I mention that the two bartenders on this night are by far my favorites? Go there and you’ll see. :)

We made a reservation for 20 people for a company outing here and loved it! The drinks and food were great, the staff was friendly and easy to get ahold of, and we all had a blast. Plus, they didn’t charge us to reserve the space, just for the food and drink. Very fun and easy spot for a happy hour in the FiDi.

The place had great aesthetics inside. It is a tightplace and I understand given that it is downtown. What I do not like is fixed barstools that are hard to place and plant your feet. The Moscow Mule was delicious but it was hard to enjoy with the awkward stool. I am giving four stars for slightly overpriced drinks and uncomfortable barstools.

Springy seats, side booths, happy hours between 2 – 7 that includes cocktails, wines and beers and live music at 8:30pm, what’s not happening about this bar! They also serve up small bites and provide awesome, charming service(from the bartender in charge at that time). I ordered up their Strawberry Basil Martini and it reminded me of a smoothie, but spiked! Delish! Add the Ruby Sipper cocktail and it will surely get you going! You can topsy, turvy me anytime!

Topsy is a great new find in the FiDi area. Very trendy vibe with decent seating. The bartenders are above average and well staffed. I ordered happy hour Old Fashioneds all night which were well crafted. They were decently strong but not overpowering. 2TV’s with sports and dimly lit. Not a great whiskey /scotch selection but they DO have Yamazaki. Best of all it’s next to Ramen Underground for post-drink munchies.
