THAO IS A MIRICALE WORKER! I cannot stress it enough. I was a nail-​biter throughout my entire youth/​early adulthood. A bit over a year ago, I began seeing Thao and have been a consistent frequenting guest ever since. Thao has completely transformed my nail beds and overall nail health in a magical way. If you’re looking for a QUALITY job, book with Thao. She takes her time and is truly an artist. Gel manicures last 2+ weeks (unless you work with your hands in a brutal way). Although the process is more timely than other nail salons, the final product is super worth it. Do not come here if you have a limited time frame– as Thao is usually busy and requires a wait (unless you make an appointment, which I thoroughly encourage). She’s amazing– I used to live across the street, making it simple to stop in and wait around all day if needed, but I have since relocated to the mission (where plenty of other nail salons are available). However, I refuse to go anywhere else. I still make the trip to the TL every two or so weeks for Thao’s expertise. If you are incredibly picky and difficult to please when it comes to your hands/​nails (like myself) you will be so thrilled with the work that is done here. All of the ladies at Wendy Q are very patient, comical, attentive and understanding of your needs.
I honestly love this place (if you couldn’t tell).
I recommend Wendy Q to everyone, any time I receive a compliment on my nails.

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about how capable, kind and personable everyone is that works at Wendy Q. It’s rather remarkable actually, I felt as if I was watching an episode of «Cheers» (you know Kirstie Alley, Woody Harrelson) as I observed client after client stop by to say hello, all of which were on a first name and familiar basis with the three gals who work there. Quite specifically, Thao has every time done a beautiful and meticulous life saving job with my nails (which is no small task). The unmistakeable integrity and authenticity exemplified by the way they conduct their business and themselves as a whole sets the bar incredibly high for any competition.
I highly reccomend this salon to anyone and everyone.

Yaaaas! Finally a nail place for me. I have some atypical nails. I’ve tried it all, gel, acrylic, tips, all to no avail. Every time, the paint would chip off or my nails ended up looking like painted bark. That was until Wendy Q came to the rescue!
Their facilities are clean and spacious. They accommodate walk-​ins without a problem. The ladies are very professional and offer tea or water.
I did a pedicure once so far, and it came with a foot and lower leg massage. The service was very thorough and attentive. My feet came out very soft. The remote for the chair massager didn’t work.
The gel manicure is very quick, and they come with a hand and forearm massage. My nails came out looking good. They remember faces and recognized me when I came back. The gel manicures last two weeks as they should. The price is very affordable.
This is my new go-​to nail salon. Glad I found them.

I want to like this place, I really do. The staff is so great and they work hard to do a good job, but the problem is that the polish and acrylic are of low quality.
I got a gel manicure and the polish began to peel two hours later (not an exaggeration).
Against my better judgment, I came back in to get a full set, but five acrylic nails fell off 6 days later.
I would hope that they do a better job of purchasing items, but until than I will not return.

Came in here for a pedicure after a long day of walking and wasn’t really impressed despite the good reviews. The lady who did my nails was pretty rough with me even though I repeatedly communicated with her about it. It was a painful hour for me full of me trying not to constantly jerk my feet back. Prices are ok compared to Canadian standards but I wouldn’t come back to this place unfortunately!

Cute tiny salon with an excellent staff. The lady was so gentle on my hands and was extremely thorough in painting my nails without missing spots and corners etc. I had no wait time and it was overall an excellent experience.

The lady who did my acrylic nails was very sweet and she did take her time but I was upset that they lasted only for about a week before 3 nails came falling off. Not sure if the acrylic and glue were old but I pretty much just threw 55 $ down the drain. They do a good job on regular manicures and pedicures but I wouldn’t recommend getting acrylic nails here. Feeling neutral about this place.

They close late. Close to my job. Great selection of nails and they are all friendly!

This place is my go to place. I go back every three weeks. I always do gel, and it can last around 3 weeks without any damage.

The lady that took care of me took the time and care to file, clean, and buff my nails. The environment wasn’t the most luxurious but it’s doable. I got gel nails done about two plus weeks ago and it still hasn’t chipped yet and in perfect condition

Came here with a friend! Great experience! We had a great time and everyone was so friendly and helpful! Lovely conversations and loved our nails. I was clear on how I like my nails done and all of my needs were met! I will definitely come back to Wendy Q when I come downtown.

Sweetest people and the best shop in San Francisco. When I moved to the city I tried over 10 different shops, not really liking any of them. I am from Southern California so my expectations when it comes to nails was very high. A friend of mine lived closed by and tried this shop and knowing I was on the quest for the best shop in San Francisco recommended it to me. I never went to another place ever again.

Super super happy I found this place. The women were so lovely. It took me forever to choose a color for both my toes and my nails and they were so patient with me. Finally the woman who did my nails helped me to pick a custom color (gel). She really the took the time to make sure I was happy with everything and they were all so sweet throughout. Not many chairs for manis and pedis so appointment recommended– but worth the wait if you have to.

Very friendly and on top of everything! I called for a last minute appointment for acrylic and they kindly took me in. I got there early and was planning on waiting but Mei took me in immediately. She was sooo kind and funny! I enjoyed talking with her! She also offered me cold water or hot tea! Even though the location around the salon is loud, it was very relaxing inside the salon.
She took her time with my nails and asked me to check the length, shape, and color as she went along. She made sure I was liking my nails before she finished.
this was my first visit and I think I will definitely return.

It was a great service, got my nails done with Thao, she’s really friendly and does a really good job with gel. The place is nicely located in downtown area and its really neat.

They are simply fabulous. Mae, Thao, Ann, & Sandy will make you feel and look wondrous. I get mani’s, pedi’s, back waxes, and massages. The best.

had a delightful experience here on a friday evening! most nail salons close by 7 or 7:30, so i was superrr happy that this place stayed open til 8 cuz i desperately needed a manicure.
GEL MANI ONLY $ 25! and they do a pretty good job! the ladies are supperrr sweet, so that is definitely a plus. we chatted so much about life and love, and its always nice to hear a perspective so completely different from your own. so glad i dropped by!

Chose this salon due to Unilocal reviews and proximity to The Clift Hotel. Made appointment just to be sure I could get in and out on time. I was in town just for one night and had a tight schedule.
I received a call to confirm my appt. Was greeted and attended to immediately. ANN was my manicurist and she was AWESOME! Very careful and precise. She was focused to ensure I got out on time yet not rushed.
LOVED to music and quiet zen like atmosphere. Very comfy chair and table setup. Did not get a pedi but the chairs looked equally comfortable. Maybe next time.

I’m a «Richmond Nail Salon» regular, and wanted to find a nail spot closer to work.
I made an appointment and I walked in ten minutes early and was greeted promtly. Thao helped me and she was seriously the sweetest lady I’ve ever met. She offered me tea and water a few times and was always very considerate of whether or not I was comfortable. A regular gel mani here is $ 25 which is quite reasonable for downtown pricing.
During the entire time that I was there, a lot of people came in asking for services. Even though it was very clear that they were experiencing a big rush she never made me feel rushed. She took her time on my design and even gave me a long hand massage afterwards. It was my first time here but definintely NOT my last.
I felt really valued as a customer and I’m already thinking of cute designs for her to try.

Thank you Tao for the cutest Valentine’s Day shellac manicure! And at only $ 25 (+$ 4 for the design), you can’t go wrong! Tao and Mae were extremely friendly and fun. Overall, a great experience!
We’re staying at the Hilton right around the corner and the location was perfect, too.
