Wireless Land

My wife and I renewed our T-​Mobile plans and bought phones from the new Wireless Land on Clement St. Overall we were disappointed with the experience:
1) The folks there were not very knowledgeable or helpful.
2) The phones themselves (Motorola) don’t work very well, though that isn’t Awl’s fault.
3) Also, they promised my wife she’d get a $ 50 rebate from T-​Mobile. But T-​Mobile refused to honor the rebate because we didn’t buy the phone from one of their stores. We’ve since asked Wireless Land to make good on the rebate, but they haven’t responded to our request. (It’s been a month).
4) T-​Mobile also won’t honor the warranty on my crappy/​broken Motorola phone for the same reason.
The benefit of using a small independent wireless shop like this is that they are more knowledgeable and can give independent advice. (E.g. which phone to buy, which provider, which plan, unlock phones, etc.) These guys don’t deliver on any of those counts.
Therefore, if you know you’re looking for a T-​Mobile phone/​package, I’d suggest you go directly to a T-​Mobile store. If you want a small independent shop, I’d suggest you go to Mobile Fix at 12^th and Irving. I’ve not been there, but their Unilocal reviews are stellar.
