I came here to change out my battery for my watch. Galvin is super nice and friendly and really into religion lol. I parked in front and was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. He charged me $ 8? Definitely a better place to go to than radio shack haha

I went to Galvin to resize my wrist watch. He only charged $ 8, and his work was good. If you meet him, you know he is the kind of technician you can trust. Although it is a small job, he gave great service, which you can rarely find nowadays.

Galvin!!! i will never EVER go to another watch place. brought two watches to galvin to get batteries switched out since they stopped working. parking is on the street and there was no other customer in the shop. galvin literally got working on it and finished both watches in maybe 5 minutes. alsoooo it was cash only and total came out to be $ 19 something and i dont usually carry cash on me so i thought i didn’t have money!!! but thank god by some miracle i did but galvin told me to just pay him another time since i might need it for the rest of the day! i mean, what!!! he already finished repairing the watch and was gonna let me go home with them but said i can pay later? i assured him that i didn’t need it and was going home after so that i can pay but it was so nice of him to offer!!! every is so right, this is an awesome business. will cont coming forever!

After reading the reviews here, I called to have my grandfather clock repaired. He arrived on time, cleaned the clock, taught me several things about adjusting it, etc, made friends with my dog and charged HALF what the last repairman did! A very honest, interesting man… hard to find, these days!

I would have rated negative star if I could.
Went to this shop with my father to get price quote for repairing his watches. Simple fix — change batteries & replace glass on one of the watches. This guy (I am guessing it’s Galvin) has the worst attitude /​customer service I have ever encountered. When we asked if he could adjuster the time or calender on the watchers, his simple answer is:
«I DON’T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT».
Baffled, I asked as to why? He simply repeated himself again. So I m guessing he doesn’t like to do business with us.

I’m very picky when it comes to watches. I usually just like to keep wearing my simple analog Indiglo watch because it’s small, comfortable (black leather wristband), and fits in with all occasions. When it stops ticking, I want it to keep on running. I do not like modern watches, digital watches, sports watches, or clunky watches. I just like the traditional watches which are harder to find these days. Contrary to our age of technology, I do not like to rely on my cell phone to check the time. I like glancing at my wrist instead.
Galvin is probably the best watch and clock repairman you’ll ever find in the entire San Gabriel Valley. He can fix just about any watch or clock that exists including old grandfather clocks. That’s a skill that not very many people have.
I came to his repair shop because my watch needed a new battery, and he was able to fix it within minutes. He even gave me helpful advice such as try not to use the «Glow» function on my Indigo watch too often because it will drain the battery faster. He even has a stack of free paperback copies of the New King James Version Holy Bible for customers to take if they really need one. Galvin offers gracious and honest service.

I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but felt this store really merited it. Galvin fixed my engagement watch and even showed me how my former watch repair store had put in a battery that was in the wrong size. This could have resulted in irreparable damage to the watch. Galvin was meticulous, fast, and honest. He is definitely a person who is faithful in both the little and big things. Highly recommended!

I first encountered Galvin when he made a house call to repair our grandfather clock. On time, on the money and, more to the point, the clocks is back and running like a champ. I’ve since taken other antiques and modern clocks or watches to him and purchased one from him. He is a total pro. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I don’t have any vested interest in this – I just appreciate people who do what they say they will at the price they say they will and do it with grace.

Mr Galvin came out and got my grandfather clock running smooth as silk. Charming guy. Good old fashioned craftsman. Knows his business.
