A hidden gem for fresh sashimi, chirashi, and sushi rolls! The restaurant is very comfortable and clean and feels like I’m eating in a relaxing, family friendly environment. They offer fillets of fresh fish for walk-in sales as well. The playing for the sushi was also elegant. I had the ramen, which was great with some Chinese fusion with the bok choi, which I like. It was filled with noodles and pretty good. It’s just not as loaded or decorated like other places. But hey, this is the place for seafood and sushi. So why wait elsewhere? The parking lot is convenient too!

Solid sushi. I ordered some assorted sushi and rolls with the sashimi appetizer and let me just say order less than you’d expect because they are super generous with the portions. Fish was very fresh, the rice was good not amazing. This is a great option for take out. I’ll be coming back soon!

Located in the same plaza as Luscious Dumplings and Phoenix. I came here for lunch when Yama was closed. I order the Sashimi bento box. The sashimi was the only part I liked. It was well cut and looked pretty fresh. The California rolls were mediocre and I didn’t even touch the rest of the box. Also kind of pricy for lunch. I’d rather go to Yama for cheaper sushi across the street!

I love the eel avo roll! Spicy tuna roll is bomb too I love that they’re open 7 days a week and the sushi is fairly priced. 10⁄10 would recommend this place

Fish quality is good. I liked the rice as well. Pre-dinner salad and lots of green tea. Not a lot of selection, but the fish is cut perfectly. It is what it is though, good quality, cheap sushi. Don’t expect high quality sushi bar sushi at cut rate prices. Limited selection. Only one person in the kitchen, so not super quick. They took my credit card without a problem. Family operated. Husband, wife, small kids. Extremely nice people, but know that you will have the family’s kids running around while you eat. Décor is bare bones at best. Again, not a fancy sushi bar, not even a dive, more like eating sushi in a bare bones family apartment with kid’s tv in the background and a table devoted to coloring. No beer. 4 stars for what it is, don’t go here on date night … You’ve been warned.

I wanted to like this place because it’s nearby, but it was a bit disappointing. I ordered a salmon roll and yellowtail roll because I just wanted something small. The fish seemed fine, but the rice was the disappointing part. Sushi rice should be a tad sticky with a hint of vinegar, and barely flavored with salt and sugar. This rice was not proper sushi rice. Maybe the other rolls or sashimi would taste better, but i don’t plan give it another chance. Especially, since Yama and Mitsuwa are just blocks away.

I was attracted by its grand opening sign and came here for lunch. If you want cheap sushi, this is a good place to go, especially it’s sashimi lunch for less than $ 10. Unfortunately, all 4 kinds of sushi, including salmon were tasteless and I felt like eating plastic. They accept credit card but charge you $.5 processing fee so I paid in cash. I will not come again.

Got a big bento box for dinner and the amount is satisfying. I am very picky on the freshness of fish they use, and their nigiri is just ok. I would recommend Yama Seafood if you really want fresh fresh sashimi. However, I really like the egg and one extra star for the nice service provided by the store owner. I usually do to-go but the store has space for people who want to eat there.

It says cash only, and they tell you they accept credit card. Then after the food is all made, they tell you their credit card machine doesn’t work and they tell you to go next door and just pay the $ 3 atm fee. Being the nice customer that i am, I comply. They don’t even give me a discount and appreciation for my troubles. This is why people stick with Yama’s and wait in that long line for Yama’s. This place is cheap and dead for good reason. Amazing! I don’t get it why some people are giving 3 stars or 2 stars just because of the price, for 10 you get a sushi combo which is fresh and delicious, and that’s enough for me as a guy. The chirashi is good as well, the rice and iqura are the best!

Came here for lunch today because I saw all the grand opening signs, but unfortunately, I wasn’t very impressed by the quality of the food or restaurant. I do think that the restaurant just barely opened recently, because it seemed very bare and there really wasn’t much in there. That being said, I think that the fact that the food took so long although it was empty, and even though it was empty it seemed like they had their child’s toys/play things all over the restaurant, wasn’t doing them any favors either. The fish itself was average at best. I had a spicy tuna roll and some salmon sashimi. Although the spicy tuna rolls were good, they added some tempura, and although it was different and honestly actually pretty good, I kind of wish they would tell you if theyr’e going to add something like that, or at least put it on their menu. The salmon sashimi was not bad either, but compared to across the street at yama, I feel the food here only matches it at best, so with the lower prices at yama, I would head over there for sure :/. I’ll be sure to show up again once they get settled in, but for now, I can’t comfortably give this place that good of a rating.

Went there to grab lunch after hearing about it from chatter on a facebook group a while back. Being a huge fan of Yama seafood in the past, I was quite enthusiastic about any alternatives that could provide that quality without the line. Wasn’t quite sure what I wanted, so I ended up getting their sashimi lunch special($ 11.95 +tax) which came with 3 pieces of salmon, 2 piece of tuna and 3 pieces of… some white fish I can’t quite put my hands on. The fish was fresh and the food was overall decent, wasn’t anything particularly special though. Not bad, not great.

I stopped by today to check this new place out and ordered a sushi lunch special to go. It’s a good value for about $ 11. The fish quality is pretty fresh… CA rolls have masago and avocado in them. The rice is on the better side– not hard or mushy and the ratio was just right. Orders to go are neatly packed. As long as the fish remains fresh, I’ll be back frequently. The set up inside is a bit weird but very clean. I don’t have anything bad to say but it seems like the wait could be really long if there were a lot of people.
