Provocative Tattoo & Piercing

The place was so clean and had an inviting décor. I genuinely felt that the tattoo shop looked like one from a tv show. Everyone working there was really polite and professional. I got a medusa piercing and the whole ordeal only took about 10 minutes. The piercer was very friendly and calm! He was reassuring but I really wasn’t afraid of the pain. Piercings are my forte :) anyway, I would definitely choose this location for piercings over the one I used before! The only downfall was that the piercing cost $ 40 which is $ 10 more than I was used to. Overall, I can’t actually complain because it was a very spontaneous piercing and I just wanted to get it over with!

Provocative Tattoo had a booth at last weekend’s Body Art Expo in San Diego. They gave me a great price for what I wanted plus a free touch up and my other tattoos. Dion was my artist and he was very nice and out going. Unlike artists I’ve had in the past, he actually took the time to warn me about which part will hurt the most. He even paused every now and then to make sure I was okay and that he didn’t miss any spots. The only thing is that one area is a little crooked, but because it’s a silhouette piece, it can be easily fixed. At the end, he made sure it was cleaned and that I had the right meds for the tat. He also offered a free touch up when it’s finished healing. Great service and a good time. I’d definitely recommend Dion.

Owner asked me to write a review and I wasn’t going to but here goes. I’m in town on vacation with family and think hey I’ll get my next tattoo. They let some guy named Chunk the apprentice tattoo me and had I known he was one I would NOT have let him do it. Tattoo was very small and simple. And he still screwed it up. It’s now a week later and the ink is almost gone from my tattoo making it look very faded and years old. Then I had him pierce my nose which fell out the next day. He told me not to try and put it back in to just come in and they would fix it free of charge. When I called, he said well the owner might have to recharge you. I said no I wasn’t paying. So he calls me back and says he can do it free. I go back in and the owner pretty much takes over and is a complete asshole to not only me but his employee the apprentice. Very rough and loves to brag. Worst $ 100 bucks ever spent. Please do what I failed to: research your shops and Your artist. And DONT go here.

The staff was very nice, professional, and clean.
I was happy to see Chantelle take the time to make sure my snakebites were even.
I can’t say anything about Provocative shop’s tattoos, but I can say I felt much more comfortable at this shop than at Lotus Tattoo’s shop.
In case anyone needed to know, the cost came to $ 60 for snakebites and $ 40 for a labret piercing. These prices include the jewelry.
The staff also gave aftercare instructions and showed us what products to purchase, as well as where they can be purchased at.
Will most likely be coming back!

Got my smiley done there few months ago and yesterday got my ears pierced and my Tragus! Few days it’s sore but I’ve never felt crazy pain! Can’t wait to get more!

I took my daughter here for a nose piercing at the recommendation of a friend. I should have stuck with Painful Thoughts in Perris.
When my friend called about pricing we were told $ 30, I said OK thats only $ 5 more then Painful Thoughts charges and Idk if they are open or not. We arrived at Provocative Tattoo & Piercing. The immediate issue for me was all the stairs, no elevator and I am handicap, stairs are a real nightmare for me.
Upon entering the shop we were greeted by the whole staff, they are all very friendly, all seem to know what they are doing. Chantelle did the piercing, she was very confident, soothing and informative. Advising that one eye would tear up when the needle went in and making sure my 15 yr old was prepared for that.
Over all the experience was extremely pleasant until it came time to pay. On the phone we were quoted $ 30, then charged $ 40 once the piercing was done. We did not get a choice in jewelry like we would have at Painful Thoughts and we ended up being hustled.
This morning about 5am the piercing fell out of my daughters nose while she was sleeping. She repierced it herself to put the ring back in. Her 2 comments were, that hurt like a bitch and the ring is very cheap she thinks it is lacking in quality.
Nice place, friendly staff, but poor product, lack of legal knowledge as well. I suggest checking out Painful Thoughts in Perris. You get all the friendly and nice place but you also get a better price and better quality merch provided by someone who is up to date with all the legal laws in tattoo and piercing for minors.

I just got my nipples pierced today. Needless to say I was very nervous, and Chantelle put me right at ease. If I were to get anything else pierced I would have no problem getting it done here.

Very nice staff but the tattoo I got is terrible. The line work is shakey and the color is blotchy. It’s the only tattoo I’ve ever paid for and it is by far the worst. I may have just been unlucky with my artist, (I think her name was Jessica?) but this experience will definitely confirm that I never come back.

My hubby just got work done by Kevin and it was amazing. He wanted portrait style of Darth Vader and he got exactly what he wanted. The whole staff is really Chill and great! I start my tattoo next week and I’m really excited. I recommend this place to everyone!

After my horrid experience at another tattoo shop in the area who will remain anonymous. Haha yeah right! Lady Luck/​lotus tattoo shop, I drove directly to Provocative tattoo shop and was welcomed with open arms. I am a mother of a 14 year old daughter and decided to allow her to get her nosed pierced for her birthday. The staff at provocative were extremely friendly and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I had my 6 year old son with me who has a hard time keeping still and they sat him in the waiting area, put cartoons on and handed him the remote. At lotus tattoo they insisted that he sit outside in the alley and were rude when I attempted to voice my concerns for my daughters piercing! At provocative the staff sensed that my daughter was nervous and allowed me to sit beside her in the chair. They also had no problem with me videotaping the piercing and even posed for a few goofy pics. This place is extremely clean, reasonably priced, and believe it or not very family-​friendly. I would definitely recommend this place over ANY place in the area. If you decide to go to Lady Luck/​Lotus tattoo shop make sure you bring a tetanus shot with you because that place is DIRT-​EEEE!!!

This is the best tattoo place in riverside county. I will never go anywhere else! They are clean, professional, very nice and good priced. i have been a customer here for almost 3 years now, and i have never been unsatisfied with the work i got. Dion and Dave are my tattoo artists and they always do a great job and make the whole experience fun and laid back.
I can usually always get a appointment the same day i walk in, and i have never had to wait longer than like 45 min for a walk in. They really make a effort to work with you on the price and give you the best deal they can. The detail they put into their work is beautiful and unique.
Everything is always cleaned and sanitized, organized and clutter free, and up to date on equipment and things of that sort. They even offer you sodas, water, and the occasional pizza if they happen to get a delivery when your getting tatted. Love this parlor i will never go anywhere else as long as they are in business, provocative deserves 5 stars hands down!
