7-Eleven

This location is reliable.
I like it because it’s between Roosevelt and Plata Arroyo skate parks. With the construction on Alum Rock right now, it’s difficult to get back out onto the road going east. The parking lot is more than sufficient and you don’t have to worry that someone will back out of their parking space to run into your car.
Prices seem typical and they have Mountain Dew on the soda fountain and it’s not far off the taste of what’s in the bottles.
The people there are fairly friendly and they actually give the penny back from a Big Gulp sale.

This 7 – 11 is grimey! There are always hookers hannging out in the parking lot and people drinking outside of it. The prices and employees are terrible but I expect that at a 7 – 11. Don’t get the pizza or wings if you value you’re stomach.

The only reason I give this place a three is because they’ve always got some sort of pellets that they’re unstocking in the middle of the isles which seems like a safety hazard.

I understand everyone’s complaints about the prices at this 7Eleven. I was one of those people who were complaining too. BUT THAT’S NOT A PROBLEM ANYMORE! They got new management and all the prices are actually back to the way it should be. The new manager is actually super cool and he had a little «grand reopening» thing and was giving away free hot dogs and was trying to get people to return since the prices were back down to normal. The staff here are super friendly too. I come here allll the time because I work so close (which is how I knew about the new management) and this is always a place I go to to grab a quick snack =)

I signed up for Unilocal just to write this review! Worst Effing 7 – 11 ever! Everything is over priced:
$ 6.00 Nachos
$ 2.00 Arizona with there own little price tag over the .99cent print on the can.
$ 3.00 Vitamin water? serious WTF???
That’s not the worst of it. Customer service is shit, and Jim the old perverted owner who works on some nights is a F*king CON!
Seriously good luck paying with card when he’s there alone because the credit card machine never works when he does. He makes you pay cash and you have to have exact change or he’ll just round up on the transaction. Further more he won’t give you a reciept. My theory is that he avoids profit sharing with corporate 7 – 11 by not reporting these transactions. This guy needs to be REPORTED!!!

I hate those little quarter shots of cream and sugar packets!!!
The greatest thing about this 7 – 11 is that they have all the coffee available in the morning plus Canela and cartons of Coffee Mate, International Delight, and half and half (plus some others) so you don’t have to fool around with those small little tiny quarter shots of creamer (I use like 20 of them and feel really ghetto taking that many) and they have a kool-​aid container full of sugar for easy pouring… It makes my coffee stop so quick and i have the option of trying a different kind of coffee everyday. They also have the coffee that is supposed to have some energy something in it– after my morning coffee I don’t need it but hey– if you wanna be jumping off the walls all day you have the option (no METH needed)… not that I use or anything– ummmm thank you?
Anyways… they do charge more than the normal 7 – 11 (because they are privately owned or something is the reason they gave me)… isn’t 7 – 11 a franchise?
IDK but yeah– they lose 2 stars for:
Overpricing (Nachos for $ 5.99– WTF?)
Never having change for a $ 20.00– WTF?
Atm at the counter wasn’t working for forever (I think it’s fixed now though)

Lots of lemons and limes all the time– oh yeah and bananas.
UPDATE: CHANGED FROM 3 STARS TO 4 BECAUSE:
they always have Blue Icebreaker gum sticks not cubes

$ 2.90 for 1liter of aquafina water
$ 3.93 for 5 hour energy drink
these items are cheaper at other «convenience» stores.
