Action urgent care was a good facility, it had helpful staff, and I was able to be seen and taken care of relatively fast. Samuel was especially helpful. I thought they did a good job overall.

Came here today and met Maddy (spelling?) she was so sweet and totally non judgey when I rambled on to her about what’s been going on. Honestly, she made the experience! Love this place and will continue to come back :)

It may be beneficial for office management to become educated on how to treat compliant patients who CHOSE them as Primary Care. Patient care and compassion should be a priority. I now have a new PCP. Hope this helps!

Went in, got a diagnosis. Everything was fine until They didn’t send me a bill and I found out that they had put my name down to collection agency and never bother to call me personally. They had the wrong address and never bother to correct it. Mean while I tried to call them several time but couldn’t get thru to the billing department because Almaden location didn’t have one. So frustrated with this place’s billing dept.

Terrible service. The doctor at the Capitol Expressway site said I need an x-​ray and they didn’t have it at the facility. So he sent me to Blossom Hill site. At Blossom Hill they tried the x-​ray machine on me multiple times and said it’s broken. And asked me to go to a third facility! I called back the Capitol Expressway site and asked to speak to the doctor but never heard back from him either. Stay away from Action Urgent Care!

I just returned from this facility. I usually do not write reviews but I have never recieved such a pathetic service from any doctors. We waited outside for more than an hour and another hour in a room after being checked usual conditions by nurse. The examination room was not what I would expect in an urgent care. The doctor didn’t even spent more than a minute iwth us and didn’t explain what is wrong. These people are crooked and the only aim is how to get more money out of patient. I would never go to any action urgent care facilities and I would recommend you do the same.

I visited here once for cold and allergy symptoms. They only have Physician Assistants at the site, no doctors. My experience on that day was OK. However, the prescription is totally not working for me, so I called in the next day to see if the Physician Assistant can prescript me something else over the phone or I need to visit her again. Unfortunately she doesn’t work everyday. And the receptionist refused to transfer my call or have her call me back. If your want immediate assistance, this urgent care is fine. But don’t expect too much. And definitely don’t choose them as primary care. You won’t have reliable people to help.

Summary, «Filthy» examination room.
I just returned from a visit to this facility. Although the staff did their job as well as could be expected — I could not get over the condition of the examination room I was in. The floor — an a word was ‘filthy’. Certainly *not* what you’d expect for a medical facility. When I mentioned it to the examining doctor– the individual did acknowledge, «Yes, we have had trouble keeping this floor clean». Then encouraged me to not judge all ‘Action Care’ facilities on this one experience, and to be sure to visit their other locations. I assured the doctor, that wouldn’t be necessary. There are plenty of other choices,. and they don’t deserve a second chance on something as basic as cleanliness. I couldn’t recommend that anyone go to this Action Care facility period.

My Dr was rude but… Action urgent care provided a very efficient service with a straightforward solution to my (intense) pain.
I just really didn’t like the dog in the waiting area. I don’t think dogs should be allowed in an urgent care facility (and it was definitely not a service dog).
Beside that… cheap, (well covered by my insurance) good and efficient.

Never go here. They do not check to see if your coverage on your insurance is viable and they will run a bunch of tests that you do not need with a nurse practitioner. You will never see a doctor there because there is not one there to be seen. Only go if you want to pay more than you should and you don’t care about treating your problem. They totally ripped me off and never helped my child. They ran a bunch of tests he did not need, did not verify my insurance and overcharged me. When i called and complained, the person on the phone read her response from a 3×5 card.
Worst experience ever!

Did a physical exam. Very good services, stuffs were very friendly.

Rang to receive my results of a severe infection on my face and I was told I needed to make another appointment or wait two days to receive my info by mail. This was not made clear at appointment. So either pay more money or wait! Even though, the doctor said it’s quite serious if I was on the wrong anti biotic!
Apparently it’s a new procedure! FYI!

I have been to many urgent care facilities all over the bay area for a variety of reasons, and this center is by far one of the best options for urgent medical care.
I was seen by Dr, Gallagher and she was very kind, informative, and efficient. She diagnosed me quickly, had an injection administered, and even faxed my medication to the pharmacy — all in under forty-​five minutes.
They entire staff was kind, they took my insurance, and I was feeling better within twenty-​four hours.

I had just recently got off work when i started feeling a sharp pain in my shoulder, i wasn’t sure if i had hurt myself while i was working. I headed over to Action Urgent Care. When i arrived i was welcomed in by kennard one of the medical assistants, i signed a few papers and was seen with in 30 minutes of arriving. Another MA named Alex escorted me to a room and started off with questions and was very professional. The doctor came in treated me and prescribed me some pain meds turned out i had a sprained shoulder. Overall had a great first experience.

They simply ripped us off, I went with my wife and the nurse told that that our insurance covers our exam 100%, and after 1 month i got a bill with 400 $
The funny thing: The manager in this place told me to not come again because they ripping people off because they know it’s an urgent care.
I discourage anyone from going there and instead schedule an appointment with your family doctor.

My recent visit at this facility exceeded my expectations. I came in around 6pm and within minutes the nurse (Michael), who was very professional, got my paperwork ready and brought me in. Dr. Ganna came in the exam room shortly after. Dr. Ganna was very thorough with the exam. I left around 6:30pm!
I definitely recommend coming to this urgent care!

I don’t write reviews much but I had a really good experience here (surprisingly). My girlfriend and I were about to head to dinner the other night when something didn’t feel right. Not going to go into much details but we both thought it’d be a good idea to get it checked out right away since its happened before. It was around 7:30 pm and my girlfriend found action. Since it was close by, we went straight over. For the most part everything was pretty standard. Went in, filled out some papers, waited about 15 minutes and saw the doc. Our doc, Chelsea, was not only professional with the visit but easy to talk and very attentive. What really made me think, «Damn this place is really nice» was when my girlfriend’s noise started acting up and doc. Chelsea assessed her irritation. She even went out her way to provide my girlfriend with a sample nasal spray to clear up her sinuses.
All in all, very good visit for an issue we wanted solved right away.

I had to come in for myself this time. On a Sunday. What a way to end my weekend but have to say the Dr was amazing and the staff where amazing. Not sure why someone would say such negativity about this group. Oh well. I am so happy I came here to get medical attention. This strep throat thing is no joke. And the Dr. (I wish I could remember her name) was on top of it had me leaving there feeling much better and on my way to recovery. I would absolutely make them my primary care if I needed to. But have a strong relationship with my current Dr. In an emergency thou, yes I would absolutely come again.

My wife and I just returned from vacation where we both picked up the flu. Mine was mild, but her condition grew worse after we got home. Three days later, she wasn’t getting better. Since it was a weekend, we couldn’t wait to see our regular doctor.
Because she visited Action Urgent Care in 2012 for similar symptoms, received a reasonable treatment and the place is only 5 miles from home, we decided to go back.
The office was already open when we arrived at 855 AM on a Sunday. Although she completed the standard paperwork in 2012, they asked us to do it again in case some information was new. At 910 AM, her vital signs were checked by a technician who brought us into an exam room and requested answers to a thorough checklist of medical questions.
Around 920 AM, Tran, a Physician’s Assistant, came to review the checklist, ask additional questions and examine my wife more closely. After 10 – 15 minutes, she concluded my wife did not have bronchitis as we feared, but a somewhat worse than normal case of the flu. Tran prescribed an inhaler, cough medicine and an antibiotic to be used if things didn’t improve in a few days. We were back in the car at 940 AM.
The front office staff was pleasant and the the technician was friendly and appeared to know what she was doing. However, special thanks go to Tran. She was thorough, caring and had a sense of credibility. Although they apparently determined my wife did not need to see a doctor immediately, we came away with the feeling Tran was the next best thing. Knowledgeable, calm and to the point. In fact, she reminded us of our daughter-​in-​law who’s a family practice doctor in Los Angeles.
