We just used Bay Area Ice Cream for a corporate coffee talk for 150 employees following lunch. John and team were fast, on-​time and ready to roll. Folks lined up for the ice cream and yet the line went fast. Toppings were great and very fresh. Only change I would recommend is that the toppings be put into something more fun and fancy (could still be in plastic) for events. Other than that… nice job… everyone was happy.

They came to cater one of our marketing all hands meeting. It is your standard ice cream, but the highlight was definitely their toppings that seem to be endless.

I hired Bay Area Ice Cream for our wedding and have to say that I was very impressed. They had no problem coming all the way from Willow Glen to Sunol, they arrived on time and had no issues setting up or breaking down. The Ice Cream was super delicious and all of my guests raved about it!

I hired John and Bay Area Ice Cream catering for my wedding. They did a great job — good price, on time, and all of the toppings we had specifically asked for. They took care of the paper cups and spoons as well. All of our guests raved about how good the actual ice cream was, and how much fun it was to have it there with the cart. If I ever have a need for ice cream catering again, I’d hire them in a heartbeat! Thanks for being part of our big day.

Discovered this little company by GROUPON. Had them come set up a sundae bar at work before Thanksgiving. The owner’s son assisted with it and scooped everyone up. Great service and great selection. Ice Cream is delish and the toppings are of an abundance. Everyone at work was a FAN and loved the idea of this. Definately recommend!

Wow, So I received a message from the owner. I was kinda hesitant to open it, as if he would be sitting in my inbox with a scowl on his face… haha, I have received messages from disgruntle Owners in the past and didn’t want to see hate. I opened it anyhow and he was very polite explaining a miss communication between us. Offering something to make it up. In this economy and time in general, you do not see this. Usually, it is the get over it attitude and it is not my problem. I am a business owner & think of myself as an understand person, so I completely appreciate that & would love to use them. Like how they talk about chivalry being dead… there are still caring entrepreneurs out there & I love it!!! Cant wait to book them!

Ice cream was great. Not super sugary and artificial tasting. I’m pretty sure they did not make the ice cream. The website says you can pick name brand ice creams and novelties for catering.
The service was alright. The toppings were just laid out in buckets, not the most appealing presentation. Claims to be in business since 1951, so while the system works, its not the most attractive.
So what are you paying for then? i guess if you use their catering service, they will roll their cart out there and scoop you ice cream that you could’ve bought yourself. Interesting concept. dunno if the price premium is worth it to have someone scoop you ice cream from a cart.

John was a great ice cream caterer for our wedding. I didn’t want to go with the traditional cake (who ever says it tastes good?). So when I came upon Bay Area Ice Cream Catering, I thought it was perfect. John came in set up, served, cleaned up, and left– and I hardly noticed! He did a great job! The ice cream was yummy and our night was perfect!

Our employees love the «Ice Cream Social» that Bay Area Ice Cream Catering does for us. The last one I had over 85% of the company turned out for the event. John and his assistant are always professional and very quick. The ice cream got great reviews from everyone.

I’ve worked with John (the Chief Executive Scooper) and Bay Area Ice cream on many corporate events — his ice cream is a great addition to parties and people love getting to choose all their own toppings from a table laden with every option one could imagine for a sundae. You can go crazy or take it easy — it’s like BK: have it your way.
They’re on time, efficient (never seen someone scoop as fast as these guys) and his team are friendly and professional. I’d highly recommend Bay Area Ice Cream for group events.
