Yolanda did my hair once and now does it every other week! very sweet beautiful professional women in this salon nothing negative to say very friendly and great vibes love this place go see Yolanda guys she always let’s me make last minute appointments and is always accommodating and she’s a LEO LIKE ME Lol only speaking from personal experience im most certain the other ladies do great work as well!

I had the same braider for 20 years in LA. After a long search and a dodgy braider in Oakland. Almighty God led my l’il feet to Braid It Up and Robin. She is a first-​class braider with a humble demeanor. She doesn’t just «do the squares’.she does rectangles and triangles to make your individuals fall more beautifully. Now I can save $ 20 for the gas and toll to go to Oakland. not to mention the headache of having a braider stand me up and not call back. Braid It Up is professional in every respect. BLESS

From out of town, but made an appointment a week before getting into town. Set up an appointment with Keisha based off other reviews and pics of her work. I was not disappointed! My 3 year old son loves his braids! Keisha did a great job at listening to what I wanted done and she did an amazing job with my son. She had wonderful patience working with my son. I highly recommend her! Thank you Keisha!

Love love love this place! I was supposed to get braided somewhere else, but it got cancelled last minute and I REALLY needed my hair done that day. I called braid it up, Yolanda and Tay hooked me up with Sengalese (don’t know how to spell it) twists super last minute! They were life savers! Thanks again ladies, I am so in love with my hair and I will definitely be back!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Robin is the owner and is very unprofessional. My first time going there, I had to wait even though I had an appointment. My hair was just okay. When people ask me who did my hair, they thought I had my hair done for two weeks even though I just left the salon a couple of hours earlier that day. My next appointment: They told me my hair would last for two months considering I paid $ 200.00 for my hair to be done, it lasted less than two weeks. My last and final visit: I waited over three hours with an appointment. Robin was done with someone else hair and you would have thought she would have took me right away since I was patiently waiting but she didn’t. I took off work that morning and ended up leaving the shop without my hair being done. Robin had my number and could have call me and told me to come in another day or contacted me after me leaving the shop disappointed but she didn’t. This place is full of gossip, rudeness, and very just unprofessional. This place is extremely overprice considering if you want your hair done, you can go to a ton of shops in the area for half the price. If you are in business, you must learn how to conduct yourself in a professional way. You must set your appointments on time, you must not overcharge customers; if you are going to be late, learn how to contact your customers and tell them that you are running late. Everyone does not want to listen to your ghetto music. I do not wish this business success at all. I was treated in a very disrespectful way and will Never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, return! I have told everyone I know to avoid this place at all cost.
Also there is no parking, you will have to park on the street where the meters are and hope your car does not get towed. You would think there would be a parking lot for this salon but its not.

My daughter got her crochet braids done by Robin. She worked efficiently and the end result was beautiful. Too bad I live in Miami, if not Robin would be the family’s hairstylist. Two thumbs up for Braid it up!

I’ve been going to braid it up for years… 4+ years to be exact. I’ve gone to a few locations as they continue to expand. Always a pleasant experience. Fharoah has always done my braids. Cornrows straight back, designs etc. She’s awesome. Awesome place and vibe!

:)If u wanna get cornrows ask for Kiesha she can do anything Iverson Carmelo anything show her a picture and it will be done. Oh and make sure you bring done change for the meters parking isn’t free.

Man no words can really express how much i love this place, the work and environment is something you have to experience yourself. I always get my hair done by keisha and everytime is always on point never a hit and miss. I really do recommend you going there best money well spent!

I have been going to Braid it up for YEARS!!! Robin are her girls are fantastic! I am never disappointed when I go and get my hair done and I always get compliments about my hair. My whole family actually has been going there for years and we have never been disappointed. Always a great time and good laughs.

my experience at braid it up, I came to the shop already frustrated cause the day prior I had just got my hair done it was a little messed up so I wanted it redone cause I was do to see a comedy show that night. I originally was to see Corvette but instead I was greeted by some one that appeared to be a high schooler who couldn’t seem to get it right with 2 French braids so I paid a little extra and ask the young lady to give me a couple braids which I thought would be easier but that didn’t work either infact my hair was not what i expected .when I left braid it up Friday June 12^th 2015 I was walking down the street literally in tears with less than 2hours to my show starts. while sitting there I noticed that 2 of the ladies doing hair was doing a excellent jobs. I guess my experience was with the wrong person

This place is a great place to get braids. The braiders are experienced and do a great job. It is also a shop, which is convenient if you need to buy hair. Ask for Denise, she will whip your hair into shape real quick. 0 – 100! Love it. Bye.

Call come in but take this new year to try something new braid it has the hours and the ability to service you with very best experience you will make this your only place to go the ladies are amazing you will come out with a smile knowing you look your absolute best from head to toe. Enjoyed my experience! Laughing, sharing and listening to stories and music is what the black hair shop experience is all about.
Corvette did her «Thang» on my hair… giving me a straight sleek look, especially since this was my first weave, I was nervous! But the outcome was well worth it all. Mrs. Robin was funny and accommodating as well.
I definitely recommend getting it done at Braid It Up!
