This is my absolute favorite antique shop… it’s HUGE. You could walk around the whole store every day for a month and still notice a TON of new stuff each time. The reason I took away a star is for the prices… this place is pricey. It’s really what you would expect for the area. I doubt you’ll find some rare gem that was labeled by someone who had no idea what they were doing. However, you’re going to find a bunch of really cool stuff that’s worth the price.

Great antique shop. Great items & prices. I like the ladies who work there, they are sweet & knowledgable & helpful. I have to look at every/thang. Its borderline annoying. They are willing to show off all the items, with no problem. Today, Josie helped me find some great earrings & last week I scored some more earrings that Im gaga for. They do frequently walk about & check locks n stuff… its not personal at all people, its business. Overall solid 5 stars, id give 6 but its not an option. Great spot for hardcore treasure hunters. Keep up the good work ladies!

Excellent place to browse for the casual shopper and even the seasoned collector. This store is really a small«antiques mall» with several dealers, ranging from vintage dishware, old postcards and advertising, antiquarian books, militaria and other assorted knick-knacks. The shop is clean and chocked full of quality items in great condition. Prices vary — some are a little high while others are a good value.(I’ve been a collector for over 25 years and my father was an antiques dealer in his retirement.) I come to the Bay area for business, and the best part is that Briarwood is a stone’s throw from the airport. Great way to kill time and I would definitely make regular stops if I lived here. Well worth the visit if you like to browse vintage and antiques stores.

Nice staff! They went out of their way to help me find a specific gift. You do not normally receive that kind of service from other shops like these

Great variety, friendly staff, reasonable prices. This place is filled with all sorts of stuff some of which I don’t consider antiques, but still cool to look at. There wasn’t really anything that I want bad enough to pay the asking price. In the store it is rather cluttered, especially the display cases.

The only reason Antiques Colony was ever my favorite antiques store was because I hadn’t discovered Briarwood yet! The Colony is cool but they use a lot of their space for furniture while I prefer knick-knack type stuff. They’re also overpriced and don’t mind taking advantage of people who don’t know what they’re buying(I once shelled out $ 90 for 1960’s Playboys because I had no idea they’re practically free on Craig’s List. $ 10 each? Thanks for taking me for a chump, Colony). Briarwood is huge and stuffed so full that you could probably stay from open to close and not see everything on their shelves! I love that their stuff is so strange and original. Who would want this weird brass bird foot? I DO, that’s who! They’re also not opposed to a little haggling and calling the sellers to make offers for you. Everything I’ve bought here was cheaper than the tag said. Anyone at the register is always friendly. Stuff I’ve bought here: Pocket-watch shaped wall clock, brass bird foot, little sand timer to keep your 1950’s wife’s telephone habits to a minimum, etc…

The best antique/collectable shop in the bay area! I am a huge fan of, well, antiques, but more specifically old Halloween decorations. This place has a surplus! Not just Halloween, but Christmas, Easter, ETC. Lots of cool lamps, toys, and so on. Definitely worth checking out. Be prepared to spend a good hour there.

This Antique store is awesome! Very friendly employees. I love the older man with nice hair. LOL He offered my girlfriend money for her Orange Nike shoes, because he is a Giants fan. Lol They also taught me how to tell the difference between plastic and bakealite! I go there often.

This is a really great antique store. There are soo many different things here, one can get lost here all day. This particular store had items I haven’t seen any other antique shops. They had everything from dressers, chairs, lamps, side tables, chandeliers, dolls, watches, old door knobs(which happened to be in GREAT Condition), random military items, books, old milk bottles, and pictures. If you’re into collecting roosters they have that too. Overall, I highly recommend this antique shop.

Briarwood Antiques really made a positive impression on me. I was looking for antique Gillette safety razors and found a couple in decent shape — a gold plated Old Type and a gold plated Tech. Also saw a plethora of cut-throat razors, and nice looking Waltham and Elgin pocket watches. Aside from the items I mentioned the place is filled with a large variety of collectibles — it’s almost hard to find what you are looking for. You essentially have to ask an employee to guide you to what you are looking for and they will know exactly where it is. In regards to price — seemed kinda high but they are willing to bargain so it works out well. Store hours are 11 – 530 daily.

This is another great place to browse around for antiques! There was a lot to see! I got a bit lost in the back and was confused because I think they were connected to a furniture store. It was weird. You’ll understand when you go there. I went this past weekend and they had A LOT of christmas stuff out already! Nice antique pocket watches! I’m not super sure their store hours, but I think it’s around 11am-5pm. Call them to double check!

Love this store! It literally has everything. There are more than 30 vendors selling china, glassware, pottery, linens, jewelry, lighting, hinges, doorknobs, drawer pulls, christmas ornaments, silver, and furniture. They are always super friendly, and willing to help you find something if you’re in the market for something specific. It’s clean and spacious, with lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. I always find something in this place without breaking the bank!
