Harjit is the best! All the ladies working here do a fine job but I recommend her all the way!

Sloppy work. The place is clean and she took me right away, but she messed up my right brow by snipping of too much hair with her scissors. I noticed the right brow looked sparse after she was done, but she kept insisting I «had a mark on my eyebrow.» That «mark» she was referring to, was a hair that was left behind after she got happy with her scissors and cut of most of my right brow. Now my left and right brow don’t match. After the unsatisfactory threading session, I went shopping next door and happened to catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror — stray hairs all over my face. As I said sloppy work. Not coming back for sure.

For some time I have been a regular customer at Blown Away, Once a month to be exact. Ila is the best there hands down! Her work is very clean and professional, I am a male and have very bushy eyebrows but Ila always gets the job done right every time leaving my eyebrows symmetrical and natural looking. She is also a very sweet person, very calm and relaxing vibes and always carrys a huge smile when you walk into that door. Please check her out if given the chance, You will not be disappointed !

Brow Arc is now called Blown Away. The other day I went into the salon to inquire about the price of their blow dry services. The dark-​haired employee was the most unfriendly person I have ever encountered! (I’m 68 years old!) She didn’t even smile. I don’t think she understood English very well. I will never step foot in that establishment again!

Crappy costumer service, staff is rude. Costumer is never right more like their way or the highway!

HARJIT! My new and current GoTo brow specialist. Ask for Harjit who works Monday DAYS and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday late afternoons to evening. Harjit is very good.

I have been coming to this place since it was a kiosk in front of Ross years back. They always did a great job, they began to expand and along with that came an ego with a handful of the employees. The last straw for me was the last time I went in I refused to pay for the service they provided for my younger sister because they botched her eyebrows. They made one eyebrow thinner as well as shorter completely different from the other eyebrow. They said they could try to make it even but we decided it’d be best they didn’t do more damage then they already had. My sister was upset and in tears because of how different they looked and we had a wedding to attend to that afternoon. I of course payed for my service because I was content with the job they did with me. About a week later my mother went in to get her eyebrows done and the management tells her that «her daughters owed them money, and that she had to pay for the service». That alone should have told me what kind of people I was about to deal with. I gave them a phone call and told them again why I was refusing to pay. The manager was extremely rude and would talk over me as I was trying to explain to her and refused to compromise with me. She said they provide a service and expect to get payed for it. I told her I was not going to pay for a service I was not happy with and told her my mother had nothing to do with the matter and she would not be paying for the horrible service they had provided for my younger sister. She refused to listen to me, said we owed her money and had to pay and hung up on me. When my mother got home she explained to me how embarrassing the whole ordeal was because they would talk among themselves in a different language and before she left the manager asked to relay a message to me (in front of other costumers) which was for me not to come back if I didn’t like their service. She said on 3 different occasions «I don’t want your daughter here, she isn’t welcomed here.» How are you suppose to run a business when your employees are making long term customers turn away. This place is unprofessional and they don’t care about their customers. Save yourself the time and a headache!

I have been coming here for several years. I’m also a licensed cosmetologist. With this you think I wouldn’t have to argue about where my brows start and end. The tech tried to tell me I should grow them out. I’m forty, I have normal full brows, I know the limits of their growth. Besides having my eyebrows nearly meet in the MIDDLE is precisely why I have them threaded. WHY would I have them grow closer together, Cray CRAY!

Went in to see if I could get my brows threaded today. I sat around for 10 minutes while the employee had seen me but did not say one word to me not even be right with you or anything. Very poor customer service I ended up walking out and I won’t be returning.

Simply Said… Jessica is the Best!!! She knows exactly what you mean when you tell her what you want beautiful brows every time that’s what I can count on when I go see her!

Well, Unilocal says they close at 9:00pm so I came here and it was before 8:00pm and I waited and waited at the front counter until someone came up to me and said they were closed… so you close at 8:00pm?! That really sucks that the posted time wasn’t correct and I wasted my time coming down here!

I would stay away from this place if you are going to buy a package deal.
I purchased a $ 60 for 6 times threading deal in March. Got the receipt, credit card transaction history and everything. Apparently the lady that did my eyebrow messed up and didn’t put me in the system. Now even if I show them the credit card transaction stating I paid, they still refuse to put me in the system or give me service that I paid for.
Contacted their «headquarter» (with a gmail email address), of course no response. Went into the store, their clerk (Scarlett) was not helpful at all, kept saying it wasn’t her that messed up my account and she can’t do anything to help…
I just called my credit card company and cancelled the transaction… Thanks God I paid by CC.

Brow Arc is inside the Westgate Mall next to Sketchers ( Unilocal has the dot pointing behind the mall which is strange). Walked in on a Friday afternoon with no appointment and didn’t have to wait at all. Jessica did my brows today and was very friendly — she asked me how I wanted my brows and worked quickly. Eyebrow and lip with no membership was $ 23, which is a lot, compared to threading services in So Cal. But there is definitely less competition in San Jose — the ONLY other threading place I saw was a white posterboard handwritten sign saying «Threading $ 8» with an arrow off Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd. That seemed a bit sketchy. I’d much rather go visit Jessica at Brow Arc! I’d definitely visit again if I needed threading in the area.

Great experience, but only with Shanoush. I only get my eyebrows threaded there, no experience with anything else they do there. I had some other girls and wasn’t too satisfied, but for eyebrows ask for Shanoush (not sure on the spelling), she does exactly what you ask her to do. She makes no shape brows arch! Best.

I came here during the afternoon and saw this place wasn’t crowded at all. I got my eyebrows, lip, and chin threaded and I’m glad I did not get the package deal! When I first walked up there was a guy sitting on his phone and he didn’t even greet me. Awkward. After I finally said something, I was seated right away.
I wish I remember the girl’s name who serviced me, but it’s slipping my mind. She was nice but, she was very rough on my brows and when it got time to thread my lip and chin it seemed like she wanted to get the whole process over with as fast as she could! She threaded so hard and quick that I had tears running down my eyes before the entire process was over and I left feeling like my face was burning :(
I’ve gotten threaded many times before at different salons and I’ve never had such a bad/​rushed/​painful experience. I felt like she just kept ripping skin.
My brows turned out nicely, but it wasn’t worth the pain. Never again.

This was my first time at this salon and it was a good experience. I am usually not on this side of town and wanted to try this place out since a friend raved about getting her eyebrows threaded here and was worked on by different employees and they always turned out great.
I walked in so surprised by how clean and bright the salon was. There are six chairs in the front with huge mirrors. I was worked on my the older blonde haired woman. I think her name was Nastia. She was very soft spoken so I couldn’t really hear. She was really nice and polite. She worked very slow but I think carefully and precise. I liked how my brows turned out.
Will definitely come back if I’m ever in the area.

I’m not giving 5 stars only because I’ve only gone once. When I went I got my eyebrows and upper lip done. I believe the girl who helped me name was jessica but I’m not sure. Anyway she did a great job, really took her time and got every hair. I took advantage of a promotion they have going on 2 for $ 20 for eyebrows so total was $ 28. Very good price for the service. Also if you’re in a hurry, they take their time so it won’t be an in and out thing, but you’ll look great after ! :)

I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded here for about a year and a half. I’ve had various employees thread my eyebrows and each time they come out great! Brow Arc now has a blow dry bar as well as threading and today when I went to get my eyebrows done, they were interviewing a possible new employee and I got a free wash and blow dry so they could see how the interviewee does hair! It was my first time getting a blow dry done and she did great!

I used to go to Khoobsurat Threading Salon, but due to the queen B that is their owner, I no longer go there. I was sad because they’re cheap and they were pretty good.
Luckily, I stumbled upon a new threading salon and right across from where I live. Score.
I was hestitent at first, since their store was horrible looking (just two chairs and a front desk.) Later I realized that they were in the process of moving to a different store location within Westgate Mall/​Center (phhew)
In their new location, right next to Gymboree, they actually have a full service salon, including Blow Outs, Hair Cuts, Henna tattoos, and of course, eyebrow threading.
If you’re going to go here one time, it’s $ 15 bucks. Prettyyyyy steep if you ask me, but if you like their work and think you’re going to come back, you can opt for one of their package deals like 6 for $ 60 or $ 50 for 3 months unlimited.
Some seriously nice people who work here. A breathe of fresh air from Khoobsurat…
I haven’t had any of their other services but I’m a solid fan of their eyebrow threading.
