This place is terrible. We ate the wings and the chow mein. Both bland AF. The wings were greasy, fatty, with no taste at all. The chow mein was dry with no taste, and don’t get me started on the rubber chicken they put to go along with it.

My girLfriend introduced me to Chef P’s [Long before the Location on Landess opened up]- this particuLar Location is the originaL. Most of my friend’s parties were catered through this restaurant and it has been forever since I’ve made a visit and thought«why not?» Being that it was Lent and we couLdnt have meat on Friday– I did my research and opted to order a few meatLess options. –Crispy CaLamari(not your typicaL caLamari. My brother described this as the Asian Chicharrones. They come out more Like crispy chips– you either Love or Loathe them) –Kung Pao VegetabLes –Shrimp VegetabLes –Asian Chicken SaLad X2(I figured we can just pick the chicken off [I wanted to grab an order of the green beans ins garLic sauce but they were out??! BOOO!!!] There was a pretty Long wait but it was onLy because this pLace was super busy. Food came out hot and was aLright. The highLight of the night was the caLamari(for some of us) but everyone seemed to enjoy the chicken saLad. I’ll be back if I can con my fiancé to make the trip– hopefuLLy the non-vegetabLe dishes wiLL persuade him to be a fan.

The fried calamari party platter is always a hit when i bring them it to family parties! Order ahead of time and make sure to bring cash, they only take cash. Next time you’re unsure of what to bring to a potluck, give Chef P.‘s a call and order the fried calamari. I rated them a 4 Star because they never have parking available. P. S. The calamari is great even days after ordering it!

Just stopped by for lunch(I haven’t been since my last review) and wow, what a difference. The guy that helped me was so friendly and the food was amazing. I had the lemon chicken combination plate. So much food! Pork fried rice was delicious.

I went to chef p tonight for dinner. I ordered the calamari, which I thought was supposed to be hot lightly battered and crispy. However when I got the calamari it was cold dark in color and overcooked. When I took it back the chef said that they fry it then bake it in the oven. I thought that was fine except for the fact that it was cold and tasted like dried out non consumable crap. I will never go back. What a waste of time and money. Also when we arrived it smells like a porta potty and dead fish mixed together outside the store.

We’ve been coming here for many years. It used to be so good, lots of food and they were accepting card payments(they even had an ATM machine). Just recently though, they don’t give so much food anymore. We usually have a couple of days worth of leftovers. Also, they were more rude than the lady that used to be there. My husband was nicely commenting that most places now accept card payments and the guy rudely told him«Well, you can go somewhere else.» That was the last time we went there.

This place is horrible. I had multiple bad experiences here. The customer service is bad, there is a lady who yelled and treated her customers with disrespect. I saw her yell at a customer who had a question. She told her to leave because she was holding up the line. It’s cold and unpleasant in the restaurant. The calamari smells bad. In my opinion, there are plenty of better Chinese restaurants elsewhere.

Oh my goodness. Their calamari is to die for. That’s all I usually get here if I’m craving calamari. Last time, I got their fried rice too. Delish. Their chow fun is delicious, but lacks some flavor compared to the usual Chinese take-out place I go to. All in all, delicious!

So this place accepts cards, but if you order a lot they make you pay in cash. I bought the garlic beef and it was like 80% breading and 20% meat. The only saving grace at this place is the calamari and the smelt fish. Also the portions for take out are small and not worth the price.

I just came here the other day for the first time and I will definitely be back. The potion size is HUGE, the food tastes awesome and the service is great! I ordered the #1 lunch combo and I had enough for basically two meals. The guy working there is super friendly too. I’m sad I didn’t find this place sooner but I’m glad I know about it now :)

Not a fan at all from this place. Food is too greasy and I always get headaches when I eat their food. Also their place is filthy dirty. Everything in the dinning room area looks and feels horrible. As I walked in and was waiting in line to order I see a big red cockroach just crawling by and heading into the kitchen like its no ones business. As I got closer passing the register I see a more roaches. That’s super nasty!!! And to think my company orders from this place at least twice a month!!! I will never eat here again.

This place is fantastic I mean seriously when it comes to great Chinese food im super picky but chef p always seems to leave me full, with a smile on my face and a little extra to take home I mean this place isn’t anything fancy its a hole in the wall but you can tell they love they’re jobs because you can taste it in the food and the prices are amazing everything is made fresh but you may want to call ahead if you don’t want to wait 20 minutes all in all very happy and satisfied with my experience I always order to go so I can’t speak on a dinning experience just the food n service upon ordering

The food is great. You gotta try the salt n pepper ribs. They also have party platters for larger groups. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. My first time here and he help me with the popular items. He also introduced me to a few regulars that come in twice a week. Cool place

Welp. My hunt for Chinese in San Jose has ended. Meaning I’ve given up. Pro: The only one is the portion size. It’s obscene. Easily feed 3 hungry people. Cons: — prices were a bit high. 8 potstickers for $ 7 is a bit much. And the dinners don’t include rice. — waited 30 mins for my food while people who were eating inside were served. People that came farrrr after me. — cash only. Wth? — place seemed very unsafe to me — small place. Easily missed. — somehow the beef garlic. Turned into FRIED beef. Wth!!! I’ve never in my life seen fried beef. I’m so over it. I just won’t eat Chinese out here.

Worst customer service ever! Drove all the way to San Jose from San Francisco just to get their calamari. My aunt was visiting from Vegas and she’s been raving about their calamari so we drove here. When we stepped into the place as we were walking in this(fake) blonde skinny Asian chick yells out«close the door» Ahmmmm lady we are still walking in, and where are your manners«please»? So we go to the counter and order up, this lady just kept rolling her eyes and had her bitch face on like she didn’t want to be there. Watching this lady deal with customers was painful! she was just disrespectful and didn’t care for nothing! The calamari is ok, I think it’s your typical calamari from an Asian restaurant. Not that great for the chick that works there to be acting like the way she was acting. Tip: AVOIDTHISPLACE! Unless you’re ready to be treated like a piece of shit just for some typical Asian food.

Really convenient for party platters! Their portions are big and cheap! Every time my family has a party we like to order the small platter of their calamari. Their small platter serves like around 10 people(or at least in my family it does). The calamari is pretty good and crunchy. Best part is, it STAYS crunchy even after a long period of time. It’s never soggy! I don’t know what their cooking techniques are, but I’m amazed! Not a big fan of the jalapeño they put on top though, but it’s easy to pick out. The interior of this place is basically your typical old school Asian restaurant. Which means, they do CASHONLY. The service is questionable. Not the most friendliest people, but they communicate well enough to get the job done. This is why I always just order to go. On the bright side, yayyy cheap Chinese food :)
