This place is awesome. Staff is nice and friendly and the«secret garden» is #onfleek ! Highly recommended. I spin here usually some Friday nights and take requests.

This is a late review but I tried Citi Café for the first time during the summer in(?) July. I believe I had a milk tea, and also ordered the popcorn chicken. Would have gotten a 5 if not for the FLYINMYDRINK. It literally went up the straw into my mouth and I spat it out and onto a napkin! I showed the cashier and was offered an apology but definitely will not be coming back knowing that my drink or other people’s drinks might have bugs in them. Sad too, because the popcorn chicken was excellent.

Citi Café is a clean, sleek looking establishment in Evergreen Plaza. The day I came, one staff memeber was doing everything from bussing tables, stock, taking orders, and making drinks. He was friendly and approachable. They have a $ 10 minimum for credit and debit cards, a wide array of menu items to choose from for lunch or dinner as well as their boboa teas. I order popcorn chicken and a Jasmine milk tea. I was asked what percentage sugar I wanted which was nice. The tea was great and I enjoyed it. I hope in the future they will offer replacements like soy. That would be awesome for those who are LI. The chicken could have definitely been a lot more crisper and cooked more. It was NOT undercooked but it was just at that line where I felt a bit uncomfortable. Talked the guy about it, he was nice and offered a replacement but felt like it would be a waste of food so I kept it. Other than this, things were fine. I will be back, not only because it’s convenient but because the drinks were yummy. Check this place out.

The black pearl milk tea was pretty good! I got 75% sweet and it was just right for me. The food was better than I expected, but the food could’ve been warmer. But other than that, I got the chicken curry rice and popcorn chicken and they were both fairly priced. It’s a nice/clean facility(with free guest wifi too!) I would come here again! :-)

Citi Café is located inside of the Evergreen plaza where Walmart is. It’s a new place with modern décor and pretty sizable to bring work to. The bf suggested coming here for milk tea after our date night. To get it out in the open, we’re die hard Fantasia fans as we go there weekly to get our tea fix. We decided to come after seeing that it was one of the hot new places on Unilocal. I decided on getting hot milk green tea with pearls, and it was pretty darn close to Fantasia! If this place had taro balls to go along with it, they would be viable competitors with Fantasia! The black milk tea, however, for some reason, isn’t as good as the green milk tea. It had a strange gingery aftertaste. We tried the food here as well(the beef noodle soup and wontons), and the food is a 3/5, nothing too delicious or noteworthy. The verdict? I would come here for the hot milk tea, but probably nothing else.

I’ve been to citi café a few more times, and though it’s convenient for me, it’s not as good as other milk tea places I’ve tried. The food can be disappointing at times too. Overall I still like it, but not as much as the first time I went.

New boba place that popped open in the Evergreen Plaza! Parking: There are several spots in the front. However, if they’re all taken, I’d suggest parking in the Wal-Mart lot and walking over. Ambiance: Relaxing. This is a clean and modern boba store. There’s plenty of seating, making it a great hang-out location. Boba & Food: After asking the cashier what she recommended, I ordered #6 Secret Garden — honeydew and lychee jasmine green tea, 50% less sweet. It was still sweet at 50% so I’ll go with 25% next time. There are way more flavored tea items than milk tea options on the menu. In addition to drinks, they also offer snacks and real food. I couldn’t help but order the curly fries! It’s a cardinal rule of mine. The fries were fun to munch on but I wouldn’t return just for them. Tip: Bring cash! $ 10 minimum order for credit card.

Decent boba place; their menu dictates you have to request your own toppings/sugar level/ice amount. Not harping here, but when did boba shops start asking 20 questions about your drink order? I just want my black balls n milk!!! This is a pretty modern and refreshing café that sprang I would assume a couple of months ago in Evergreen Village Square. Décor is pretty linear with their painting of the Golden Gate Bridge skyscape and rising sun red furniture. Very appealing colors that don’t strain the eyes compared to other young cafes. They serve the run-of-the-mill fried food combos with milk tea, but this is one of the first times I’ve seen a place offer a full-on Taiwanese menu for dine-in and takeout. I’ve tried the beefstew and black bean noodles but this is where it gets me, I’m not a fan of the noodles! Dry, flat noodles with a really clumpy texture. The black bean sauce was used sparingly and was very salty, I wouldn’t recommend this; the beefstew is much better. I’m really into my variety fried rice so I’m holding out for that as my next order to see if their food can hold a candle to a redeeming 4th star. For the meantime, come here for the drink/fried food combos. Can’t go wrong with ‘em.

Citi Café is, in one word, MEH. I say that with a matching shrug. Not bad, not great, just in the middle. If you want good boba, go to Pekoe(less than 5 min away). I’ve ordered boba here a few times and am not impressed. Their milk tea is way too milky for my liking. However, because I am a boba fanatic, I would still order boba. I just know it won’t be that good(sorry…I’m kind of a boba snob too…) My coworkers and I have shared some dishes together: *Popcorn Chicken(mediocre) *Beef Chow Fun(mediocre) *String Beans(good) *Shrimp Wonton Soup(good the first time, bland the second) *Beef Noodle Soup(bland each time) What would I get here? Probably the popcorn chicken and string beans. Maybe chow fun. I would not recommend their soups. My friend also tried their ramen, and it really was microwave noodes + spam. I was also kinda disappointed with their beef noodle soup… I judge a soup by its broth and their broth lacked depth in flavor. It’s decent Chinese food. Good service. Clean place.

Three months in, and I’d have to say they are off to a great start! As with any new business, there are still a few kinks to work through, but overall they are on the right track. I went with a couple of buddies, so we were able to try a handful of items on their menu: * Mince Pork with Rice * Beef Stew with Noodles * Shrimp Pork Wonton Soup * French Fries * Popcorn Chicken * Teriyaki Chicken Skewers The Minced Pork was very flavorful. It’s a simple dish, but it’s flavor and texture spot on! The Beef Stew was pretty hearty! It also had good flavor, however some of the pieces of beef were slightly tough. I wouldn’t ding them too much because the pieces that were tender, made me forget about the others. The rest of the items are on their snack menu. The French Fries down to their Popcorn Chicken, were perfectly cooked, without that weird aftertaste that you are used to at other boba places. You know what I am talking about right? I think that happens when places reuse their frying oil for too long. This sucks because your fries taste exactly like your popcorn chicken! Their drinks are really good! They are still trying to nail down their system, but they are very helpful when trying to decide on all of the options. Side note: The people behind the counter seem a bit shy and softspoken, but they are all friendly and helpful! If they sound a little unsure of themselves, just be patient. No need to show any irritation! Conclusion: Great location, great drinks, great food, and excellent service. There is absolutely NO reason why you shouldn’t try this place! ,

Came here with my mom on a sunny indecisive afternoon after grocery shopping. My mom is somewhat of a boba addict(direct translation of her words). We decided to share a snack and a drink, neither of us being very hungry or thirsty. The fried chicken had a distinct flavor that I couldn’t really put my finger on. It started off yummy enough, then got kind of bland towards the end. The spicy powder did not add much spice or flavor for the chicken. For drinks, we ordered the Peachy Lychee, which was indeed both peachy and lychee and was pretty good. After a couple sips, we spied a little black something floating around in our drink and put it on a napkin and gave it to the two young girls working behind the counter, saying«we found something in our drink, just wanted to let you know». Five minutes later, they called us over to apologize and give us another drink, no questions asked. They were very polite and friendly, and their focus on customer satisfaction is admirable. The space is very clean with lots of seating. There were only two other groups of 3 – 5 ladies while we were there. Perhaps will visit again when in the area.

Great customer service! Employees there were so kind. My peach milk tea was delicious. I’d definitely come back again. Also cute and spacious set up. I think it’d be a great place to study.

I really expected better for this place. I drove pretty far to check this place out and was really disappointed with the drink that I got. I ordered the Secret Garden that everyone raved about at half sugar and it tasted like pure syrup! It was so sweet and gross. I kept trying to drink it thinking it will get better but it never did. Ended up giving my drink to a friend who has a pretty sweet tooth and even he said it was too sweet for him! Totally not worth my drive. Please fix your sugar level unless you want everyone to have diabetes. Also, customer service could improve.

We came to Citi Café just to get one thing — popcorn chicken! On a Sunday afternoon this café spot wasn’t crowded, but had enough patrons to prove this is one of the popular and nice eateries. They carry teas, snacks and proper meals, so no matter what you are in a mood for, you’re sure to find something satisfying. Since this is newly opened café, everything looks spanking clean and neat. Loved the SF wall décor! We got seated after ordering popcorn chicken and they were served at our table when ready. Help yourself to the ketchup or hot and sweet sauce or sriracha. The popcorn chicken was almost like what I had in mind, except that I would have liked it to be a tad more spicy. Nevertheless I enjoyed it and will be back to try more of their dishes.

I’ve been curious about this place since it opened, but I never had a chance until now to try it out despite living 2 minutes away. Came in at around 2PM today — the place was starting to get busy due to kids getting out of school. My cousin ordered rice with chicken curry, and I ordered the beef noodle stew + a Secret Garden tea. The tea came out super fast. I ordered it with 50% sweetness but it was still too sweet so next time I’ll go with 25%. Shortly after, our food came out too. Huuge portions. My cousin really liked her rice with chicken curry. My beef noodle stew was delicious. Definitely going to come back to try out other things on their menu.

I remember the days when the closest place to get popcorn chicken and milk tea in general was Tapioca Express, and Ten Ren and Gong Cha were distant treasures you could only dream of going to if you didn’t have a driver’s license. From Cool Tea Bar to Pekoe, milk tea joints have been coming closer and closer to home. Now with Citi Café, boba and snacks are literally a 2 minute drive from my house! The store is very new, clean, and has nice interior. The menu has sections for drinks and snacks. Also, they give out free samples of their drinks. I tried the Peachy Lychee, black milk tea, and Secret Garden which they said was one of the most popular but wasn’t really my cup of tea(lol). I ended up ordering a Peachy Lychee with 50% sweetness for $ 3.25. It was still too sweet for me so I would probably go with 25% next time but it was good nevertheless! I also ordered popcorn chicken for $ 3.99 but mine didn’t come with basil as I noticed in other pictures on this page. The chicken was pretty good, but I wonder/hope that the chicken can already come with spice in it instead of just adding chili powder on top myself. Overall: 3.5 stars for drinks and snacks 4 stars for cheap prices, friendly service, nice interior, and location I’d like to try more of their foods and hope they develop more new drinks in the future :)

Evergreen has become more and more Taiwanese since I moved in! lol… Love that this place opened. Tea is good at this place but boba was a bit undercooked. Popcorn chicken is really good. The dish came with some sautéed cabbage & celery/carrot combo. I would have given it 5 stars if they improve on their boba. =)
