Ordered twice delivery and they haven’t failed me yet. Their ramen is so delicious and potstickers. Food is really good.

Just tried this place today since no other Korean place was open today on this side of town. I was really craving spicy pork and white rice so I just ordered here based on all the pretty good reviews. 1st issue: originally ordered in the morning at 11 am(through Unilocal’s preorder) and waited 2 whole hours for them to finally tell me there were no drivers available. Not cool. I understand that today is a holiday, but the least they could do was let me know that if I still wanted my food, I had to do my own pickup instead of letting me wait and call. I also called the Eat24 and asked what happened and I guess it was all just miscommunication. I just let it go and decided to wait until they reopened for dinner since I was still craving Korean. 2nd issue: I ordered on doordash right at 515 on the dot since I was guaranteed to have someone at my door with my(EXPENSIVE!!!) food with in 2 hours for sure. The menu on door dash was drastically different by the way, not sure why. I was just really annoyed at this point since all I wanted was good Korean food and its taking a lot of effort to get it. I really wouldn’t have chosen this place, but my favorite place was closed today. So, when door dash gets to my house with the food, I was instantly fed up all over again. All hope for a good dinner, since our lunch never happened, went out the window. The Korean short rib plate literally only have enough meat to feed my little 3 year old cousin. no joke. not only was the portion small, but there was no meat, mostly fat. Next, I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and they sent me beef marinated in onions and what tasted like soy sauce. and again, the portion was way too small and the meat was dry. I paid a good amount of money for this food and was in no way satisfied. The last thing that bothered me was that I paid 50 for those two dishes and we get no sides? Most places come instantly with sides. They weren’t even up for sale on the menu so I assumed that at least rice and Kimchi came with the plate. Overall, I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Unless of course friends or family insist on their American BBQ. But personally, the prices don’t match at all with what you get. I feel really sad that I did not get the service and good food like the rest of the reviewers. :(:(:(:(

This place might take a few minutes longer, but it’s freshly made and hott!!! The owner just gave a lady a free drink while she patiently waited! My kind of eatery!

This place is great honestly, the service could be better but overall the food is quite good. Shout out the Korean lady for making some bomb ass bbq sandwiches.

Best bbq spot on south side. A ton of variety on the menu and it all holds up to quality. The combo sandwich is where it’s at, so first time you gotta get that. The woman who runs it is awesome as well, she takes orders, cashiers, cooks, and packages all on her own. She deserves your business, so get over there next time you need a spot!

My daughter loved this place and she is REALLY hard to please! I had the ribs and they were tremendous — she has the pork sandwich. The sweet potato fries were fine but not great for delivery!!! I give this place two thumbs up. In fact, we’re off to this joint again tonight! :)

Totally worth the wait. It is a family owned business and the owners out their hearts into everything they make. I love the ribs. It is hard to find beef ribs that aren’t too greasy and this place does them perfectly. If you like spicy, get the hot links. Between the Asian food and BBQ there is something for everyone. My husband usually gets the chicken. No matter what, I always get aside of home made potato salad.

I didn’t get a chance to taste the bbq, but it looked good so I’ll give a star for that. The regular ramen was very spicy and the noodles looked a bit too much like Top Ramen for my tastes. It also came with no toppings, just overly spicy broth and suspicious noodles in a bowl. Head elsewhere for ramen.

Mom and Pop shop owned by a kind Korean couple. Very no frills & casual. I have tried the beef ribs, pork ribs, hot links, and garlic bread. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone-tender but I believe are parboiled and then finished off on the flat top grill, so technically it’s not«true» BBQ per se, but I ain’t knockin’ it. They also have non-American menu items as well such as spicy ramen, pot stickers, Korean short ribs, to name a few. No complimentary water here so either bring your own beverage or purchase one of their bottled options.

No sides, ugly inside, poor customer service and the rudest woman that doesn’t help and clearly doesn’t care about her business. I’ll never know how this food is because the service was so poor I left and thanked the woman in there for not being of any help.

It’s expensive but the BBQ is damn good. When I first walked in — I wanted to walk out because there was no one inside. I was thinking there’s no one in here because the menu is expensive. But then I realized as I was waiting for my food that the delivery guy was always rushing in and out — They deliver!!! No wonder! I love the Beef ribs, the pork ribs, the hot links, the corn bites — really good BBQ. The beef ribs are heavy with meat(i’m impressed). My bulldog loves it too ;) I dont visit the restaurant anymore — I LOVEDELIVEREDBBQ: D(They charge $ 5 delivery charge) but the beef ribs are too good to say no: D

Let’s start this off with a scenario, a White man, Asian man, and African American women come in ready to spend some money on food. They wait for some time and don’t get served. I wonder why?

Update: I guess I was expecting something a little bit more Korean BBQ, but it was just regular BBQ. It wasn’t bad. I got the lunch special with 2 ribs and 2 chickens. They had a nice BBQ sauce and came with garlic bread for $ 7.99. It’s just not what I was expecting. Original: Came here twice for lunch, both times they were closed during regular business hours, no sign on door, but their lights were on

Damn good, but 4* cause of the lack of sides. No Mac n cheese, no mashed potatoes or nothing.

I have been to this place and have been a fan of it since. This is a small family owned business that is full of surprises. This place has a unique style of BBQ as it is a combo of American and Korean style. The BBQ sauce clearly makes that statement since it doesn’t taste like the generic BBQ sauce you get in other restaurants. When I first came here, I got the combo sandwich with sweet potato fries. I enjoyed every bite. The sweet potato fries are similar in quality like the sweet potato fries in Korea, the meat in the sandwich was piled high, smothered in their signature BBQ sauce. It was great. I even brought my family over to eat lunch and they enjoyed the experience. I would comeback to this place in a heartbeat. Word of advice, the Hot links are on the more salty side so I recommend ordering several sides of rice to compensate for it. The best meat on the menu hands down would be the baby back ribs. Bring some hand sanitizer or sanitary wipes since there is no restroom there.

First time I went here a couple of years ago, I thought this place was pretty good. Well looks like this place has started to go downhill. 2 out of the last 3 times I tried getting lunch here were not good experiences. One time I came 15 minutes after they were supposed to be open and they weren’t even open yet. Just last week, I came in around 1pm(finally the doors were actually open) to order something and the lady behind the counter told me they close at 1:30pm and I couldn’t order anything! Seriously?! This place is horrible at running a business. The BBQ here is decent, but I’d rather travel somewhere farther for a place that has more than one worker, doesn’t use half a hot dog bun as garlic bread, and is actually open and serves food during their business hours.

I always drive by this place, and it’s always piqued my curiosity. First of all, who is CJ? What is life? What is love? All these questions fill my mind when I see CJBBQ. One day, I couldn’t take it anymore! I had to free the shackles of my life and just GOFORIT… And that’s what brought me to CJBBQ. Here, it’s Korean-style BBQ. There’s an assortment of BBQ goods ranging from chicken wings to BBQ sandwiches as well as various sides and even kimchi. The place is family-owned, so you’re supporting a local small business, which is usually positive. The family is fairly nice and well-meaning, and their service isn’t bad by any means. The food, I found, was pretty bland and lacking in any substantial flavor. The BBQ sandwich I had just wasn’t anything special, and I was disappointed. The meat is not barbequed to perfection or anything, and there’s just a smattering of barbeque sauce on top. The bun that my sandwich was in was soft and fell apart quite easily, which necessitated the use of a plastic fork. It also was slightly lukewarm and not steaming hot. The potato salad came in a small styrofoam cup, and it wasn’t bad. It was not too chunky but wasn’t anything too special. All in all, this place is not horrible by any means, but it’s just not phenomenal by any means. After I visited, I didn’t know who CJ was, what life meant, or what true love really is. I just knew that this place is alright.

I’ve been ordering from them for a year maybe? We have lunch meetings at work and I don’t like to keep ordering the same boring sandwiches all the time. So I found them online and they’ve been really great. I ordered large orders from them for company parties as well. Food is delicious and fresh and they deliver on time. I never remembered to write a review, but today I had a delivery and they gave me a box of the corn nuggets as a thank you. OMG the most delicious combo of corn I’ve ever had. They’re small and crispy on the outside and sweet in the inside. I can’t stop eating it… Thank you CJBBQ!!! I’m going to continue ordering from you guys and hope others do too!

I used to visit every other week and occasionally twice a week. NOT to sound cheap, however, the owners used to give me extra for the amount i bought. and again, not to sound cheap, i dont even know how to emphasize this but it’s not even that they don’t give me freebies anymore that i care for. it’s the fact that i’m paying a little more now, for a lot less of a meal. i know this because by freebies, i mean they hooked me up with a mini box of corn nuggets or an extra slice of garlic bread with my order. i didnt get extra ribs or anything but the boxes would be … rather full. the other day, i swung by and. well. i had a lot more hope and faith in me for CJ’s before and after reading the Unilocal reviews. i was extremely excited for good food for a cheap price. a good amount for such a low cost. instead, while waiting for my order. i decided to check in. to my surprise, the food took a lot less time to prep and cook(probably since i was the only customer present) … it also came out a lot lighter than usual. i shouldve taken a picture then but i just didnt think of it at the time to do so. anyways, in short, i’m a little disappointed at how it’s been. quality’s sort of the same. quantity is slacking. customer service = lacking. it’s not necessary to say hi’s and byes or thank yous. but it would be nice. and polite. all i got was«okay bye. « — side note: there were a couple tables. with food, bags, napkins, etc just laying about. not entirely sure why or how she didnt get to them but. for the 15minutes i was there. and the 5minutes i spent texting in front of the store prior to leaving the lot. it just stayed there. and again, no one else was there. 1 star = quality 1 star = speed 0 star = cleanliness 0 star = customer service 1 star = reasonable price ______________________ 3 stars.

I did feel bad for ordering at 1 minute till closing and eating in– but the 5 stars are genuine. At first I thought we’d have to order to-go as it was almost time to close. But the lovely lady behind the counter said it was okay, not to worry. It’s a small little place. I saw another couple there as I waited for my friend to arrive. The plaza sign actually only say«BBQ» so I almost missed turning into this plaza. Once you’re in the plaza(diagonally from goodwill) you’ll see a bright yellow sign with the word«CJ» I wasn’t sure what this place was as I saw hot links, rib sandwiches, ramen, bulgogi – etc. Once inside it was a little clearer. They served sandwiches and Korean dishes. Originally I wanted ramen but the meat selections with the garlic bread looked mighty tasty– so I ordered ramen and the dinner special. When I order the ramen I originally wanted miso. The lady said the the miso is plain– then went on to recommend me the regular or kimchi ramen but if I like spicy to try the spicy. So I switched miso ramen to spicy! Glad I did, the flavor was spicy, sweet and tangy. Not the typical ramen someone would suggest to take me to. I tried my friend’s kimchi ramen, the kimchi wasn’t over powering the ramen broth at all. Balanced well with the ramen. The dinner special was 2 pork ribs, 2 chicken meat & garlic bread. Ribs were fall of the bone, flavorful and the sauce wasn’t drowning the meet. Sauce to meat ratio, excellent in my opinion. One of the few small food location without any pesky bugs flying around. Cleaned and smelled freshly clean. When customers leave, the food, bowls & trash are promptly cleaned up. Yes there’s a child there saying hi. I thought it was cute. I miss having to take my son to work with me. He entertained us a bit. While I was waiting for my friend, he made me laugh when he tried on the gentleman’s glasses.(Father?) He proceeded to walk like a zombie as well. When the child was loud, he was told that he was speaking too loud by the gentleman– I was okay with it. I’m the only one there with my friend, it brings life into the restaurant with giggles and laughter. ** all food is made from scratch, including the delicious garlic bread. Only the noodles from the ramen is bought– their own ramen broth recipe. :)
