Dick Koo, DDS

I’m surprised to see only one review here. and from 2010 no less. I had such a great experience, I thought more would people would have written reviews.
I needed to find a new dentist (didn’t like my last one and it’s so hard to find one where you feel comfortable), so I contacted 1800 Dentist and they sent me to Dr. Koo’s office.
First impression… comes from the staff. Bobbi contacted me to set up an appt, sent me what I needed to get started, contacted my insurance for me and after my last dentist sent xrays over, we were off to a great start. As I walked in yesterday with my paperwork filled out, I was nervous, but the office had a nice vibe to it. Cindy called me by name and I had never been there before. :0) Both Cindy and Bobbi had smiles on their faces and were very welcoming.
I then met Dr. Koo to go over my current health paperwork and he asked me a few questions to understand what my expectations are. I’ve never had a dentist do that before. It made me feel like they really care. WOW!
I also met Roxanna. She worked on my xrays and helped Dr. Koo mark my chart so they would have a clear understanding of what my teeth look like and possibly might need.
Mari was the Hygienist and she was great! Very gentle and very thorough. (And I didn’t even read this part on the other review… Hmmm…)
I am so happy that I found a new dentist. I hope every visit is as good. Excited to be a new patient with Dr. Koo’s office! Thank you!

Dr. Shirin Hedayati and Dr. Dick Koo are very friendly. They take dental hygiene seriously but put their patients at ease with their cheerful demeanors. Dr. Shirin and Dr. Koo they are extremely knowledgeable and honest — they don’t push unnecessary procedures or products, and they had given me honest answers to questions that other dentists have either dodged or glossed over.
Dr. Shirin Hedayati and Dr. Koo office runs like a well-​oiled machine, and there is very little to no turnover of employees. Whenever I visit, I always think to myself that these people must really enjoy working at this practice. They are really nice people who happen to be great at what they do. My teeth and I are grateful for them!
I highly recommend Mari, the hygienist. I have had about five teeth cleanings with her, and now no one else will do! She is kind and patient. She is really the best technician, gentle on the gum but thorough. If you are looking for great family dentist in the South San Jose, I would strongly recommend this practice.
