We come here often. Kids eat free on Sundays! The brisket and the sausage is really good. Ribs are just OK. Most of the sides are good to very good. We like the baked potato casserole. Kid loves the mac and cheese… says it’s his favorite.

Billy and Jessica rocked it on 12÷27÷15. The food was great and we were served with style. A suggestion for their supervisors, however, is to get the heater fixed! It was only because of the outstanding service by Billy and Jessica that we stayed. We will continue to go to there — assuming they get the heater fixed. A suggestion: Provide Pay-Per-View and the place will be packed out — especially for the next Holly Holm fight.

As I’m still eating the leftover from Dickey’s this weekend, I’m compelled to leave this for Unilocalers. My husband and son are both meat lovers but no one has the desires to touch the leftovers. We have a lot of leftover meat not because the portion but the meat lovers really dislike it. Thought to try(for the first time) because we live at the neighborhood, we were in for a few surprises — wish they were pleasant ones. We ordered the Family Pack. 1. The serving style is cafeteria style, eatery quality but the prices are full restaurant prices. 2. We couldn’t tell Beef brisket and pull pork apart in the beginning. Both plates were so greasy, we had to wipe our hands after the plates were passed to us. Geez, we haven’t even started eating. 3. The beef plate is FULL of grease and chunks of fat. This must be like the greasiest beef I’ve ever had. 4. Even the spicy Bbq sauce couldn’t make the meats tastier, then I remember we were supposed to get pickles & onions. The servers weren’t happy when I asked for the pickles, let alone even remotely apologetic. After we got them, my husband and son asked me why bother — they had a very«funny» and bitter aftertaste! Good thing the sides were good; otherwise we’d still need dinner after this…

Absolutely love dickeys. Best BBQ I have ever tasted in my life. The staff is always welcoming and nice. Prices are a little much and I’m always getting large amounts of fat in my sandwiches.

Love this place! The manager is a very kind and compassionate individual! This speaks volumes from me, as I never go out of my way to write a Unilocal review, like ever. Manager Ricky(I think that’s his name, I’m terrible at remembering names) was super sweet to recommend me some items that tasted great! I got the pulled pork and ribs in a picnic pack. Anyway his customer service is rare in this day and age and this place made my week!

It’s decent but not great. I do like the Westerner sandwich with smoked turkey and polish sausage, but it’s a bit pricy. The onion strings tend to be too salty. Service is uneven but friendly. My daughter loves the free ice cream! I have amassed too many of their big yellow cups. They are expensive sodas — they should let you bring back the cups for cheaper drinks on return visits.

Small restaurant with big flavors. Friendly staff an the brisket sandwich was great. I loved the spicy BBQ sauce, it’s got a real kick. The pulled pork is solid too… And yes there’s free ice cream. Pricing is fair as well, worth checking out if you want decent BBQ and are in a hurry.

We come here now and then and usually enjoy our visit. Today however, it’s way too hot in here. The thermostat says it’s 88!!! If I hadn’t dropped my car off at Judy lube, we wouldn’t have stayed. I honestly can’t enjoy my food. :( And a fan is broken.

Drove across town to get food to go, when we got home my kids meal was missing. So now had to get him something else. And now my food is cold. When contacting them to get my $ credited to my card they did not know how to do that, and for the reason of forgetting the meal we were told they were bust… really there were only 3 people in the store. who runs business like this. Armadillo Willies next time!!!

Seriously, F*CK Dickey’s BBQ. Zero professionalism and customer service. I wanted to order food to pick up on Sunday evening, so my BF and I called to order. Rang for a while and then no answer. We tried again several times and got the same result. Finally I decided to use their online ordering system. Simple enough. WRONG. When we arrived, we were disappointed to find that Dickey’s was closed with a sign that said«Closed due to technical difficulties.» I can understand that things happen and sometimes you have to shut down unexpectedly, but a) there should have been some messaging to relay that in their phone system and b) they should have turned off their online order system so I wasn’t lead to think I’d still be getting what I ordered! Plus I was charged $ 40 for a bunch of food that I didn’t get. Now, in the days following this it gets worse. I called to try to get a refund and the guy who answered the phone offered ZERO help. His response to my situation was«uhhhhhh you need to call the online ordering company.» That’s not right. YOU screwed up, not me. Frustrated, I said okay and took a second look at their site to find the service provider used through their site. Sure enough I go to that company’s site and there is no contact information. However I did find that merchants using this service can easily give refunds through their site dashboard. So I called again and asked to speak to a manager. Turns out the original guy was a manager. Great. This time he gives me a number to call, which I’m guessing was their main office. No answer and there’s a cheesy outgoing message saying«We’re closed! Tell ‘em what to do, Edna!» etc etc. Following that there’s a message from«Edna» in an old lady voice which basically said to dial the number of the person you’re trying to reach in the directory. Guess what, your customers don’t know who they need to talk to to solve issues like this. How about an inbox for all other inquiries? Dial 1 for information? 0 for operator? Okay, I get that yesterday was a holiday. BUT there should be something in there to make it straightforward for people to get in touch to solve these kinds of issues. So finally I call one more time and at this point I’m pretty pissed off. The manager took down my info and said he’d take care of it and call me back ASAP. I’m not surprised that the charge is still on my card and I haven’t heard a peep from these guys. So now I get to go through my credit card company and dispute this charge. I’m so peeved at this whole situation. It shouldn’t be that complicated in the first place, but the lack of communication and effort on Dickey’s part to resolve the issue is really the cherry on top. Dickey’s, get your shit together.

Yum-yum — BBQ! I’ve now been to this location twice. Most recently I got the Westerner sandwich with brisket and cheddar sausage, waffle fries and a Caesar(needed the green veggies due to guilt!). The sliced roll was freshly buttered(on this amazing butter wheel of goodness machine) and toasted. The brisket was freshly sliced and you request how juicy, the sausage was freshly cut. It was AMAZING! The sammie was $ 8.95 and two sides were $ 4. They have warmed BBQ sauce(very nice), all you can eat sliced pickles and soft serve ice-cream(gratis). The meat was smokey delicious. The smell inside the joint was obviously from real wood as was stacked inside. I always first taste BBQ w/o any extra sauce and their’s was legit! The sammie was good sized and filled me up for the rest of the PM. I’ve been to another establishment in Sacto and it was equally delectable. Total fan of this franchise chain. So far, so Q!

SJ native that moved to the KC, midwest area for 10 years and came back to san jose very glad to be back home. BUT unfortunately learned we do not know what true BBQ is. Reading METRO and other voted best of the bay BBQ joints, I try them all to no avail. I love this valley, but we suck at BBQ. Armadillo Willies voted #1%$$#*??? Mcrib will be next. JC’s, Sam’s, Tony Romas, etc are just plain. Noting popps or is unique. It seems the only advantage is a better sauce. However, Dickeys is the best i’ve had locally. Don’t get me wrong when I say its not KCBBQ, I was spoiled, I also made sure to explain they don’t know mexican or asian on our level. Dickeys is tasty and is the best from any(tons) in the south bay I’ve tried. Great portions. MEATONMEAT.

I decided to come here for lunch after work. Smoked brisket and pulled pork was what I ordered. After the 1st bite, I was glad with my choice. I would definitely order the same thing again and again! The service was good and they were nice.

Yum! Not gonna lie, the posts about free ice cream got me here but the tasty bbq will bring me back. The Mac & cheese and beans were the best! Definitely get the daily special, such a good deal and plenty of food. I’d have given them 5 stars but they only have vanilla ice cream…

Sorry Dickey’s but you have managed to fail me again! First go was on a week day right at opening. Was looking to pick up an early lunch. Ordered the two meat combo rib and brisket and was throughly disappointed. To start I was given day old brisket. which explained why it was soo dry. The girl behind the counter said nothing was ready yet. Is that why they wrap everything in plastic and keep it in the warmer? Ribs were fine just had a tug to its bite. Second go I figured I’ll visit during mid day hours. things should be cooked. No reason why the days meat should be out, right? Well think again. I ordered the brisket sandwich and was almost given the left over scraps, again wrapped in plastic! Looked more like chopped meat. I just couldn’t stand by, so I asked if there was«sliced brisket» and he was nice enough to take out a slab and slice. I noticed while slicing that the brisket still fell a part. Only reason why that happens.. DRYMEAT. Flavor was lacking. There was a slight bark but still didn’t taste it through the meat. The one thing I did like about the sandwich was the toasted soft bun. The bbq sauces are tasty. I like that they are in the warmer. They offer free soft serve ice cream as well. Don’t think I would send friends or revisit this place. Sorry :(

Well Four and a half stars. Awesome service and the smoked meat… that speaks for itself. It was the families first time and I gotta say we will return. Yeah, yeah they have free soft serve vanilla ice cream… but the smoked brisket and pulled pork had me at first bite. Try it even if my rating doesn’t make sense or paint a portrait of yummy, ono, to die for or Mmmmmmm, smoked meat!

2.5 Stars I received a gift card for Dickey’s BBQ from my boss so my boyfriend and I came here to try it last night. I’ve driven by this location tons of time but never tried it before. We came here on a Sunday night an hour before closing. FOOD. We each got the 3 meat combo; beef brisket, spicy cheese sausage & ribs for me and pulled pork, chicken and ham for him. Beef brisket was good, very juicy and soft in which i didn’t need to add bbq sauce to it because it was already flavorful. Spicy cheese sausage which i believe had jalapenos in it was good but a little too spicy for me so my boyfriend ended up eating a good portion of it. Ribs were just okay, i’ve had better. They werent quite fall off the bone tender and needed to be dipped in bbq sauce because without it there wasnt much flavor. Pulled pork was a little on the dry side and just didnt have much flavor or seasoning alone. Chicken was terribly dry and we’d probably not get this again. Lastly, their Ham, it was juicy and not overly salty which made it good. Only thing is that for $ 14 each meal, they give u a tiny amount of meat. We’ve gone to other bbq joints like the Smoking Pig where they are more generous with their servings for about the same cost. Luckily for us, we had a giftcard cause i’d be extremely disappointed for paying close to $ 35 for our meals and getting tiny portions of each meat. For our sides we got cole slaw, onion strings, mac & cheese and waffle fries. My waffle fries were good, but i guess its hard to mess up fries. Mac & cheese was on the watery side in which i didnt finish. My boyfriend says his favorite cole slaw is from KFC and compares Dickey’s to it. CUSTOMERSERVICE. It was just okay, you order from the guy and he tries to cut and prepare the meat while you are standing there. They can be more efficient and just ask for your entire order instead of making you awkwardly stand there while hes trying to cut the meat before u move down the line to get your sides. While they were trying to prepare our food the cashier would have to keep staring down to the other side to try and guess what we ordered then have us repeat our meats and sides over and over again. Their ordering system can be more efficient. This place had some good food but didn’t particularly WOW me.

sighhh. no. Giving this place 2 stars is just me being nice… i just wanted a good dinner because i hadnt eaten all day and i was so freaking hungry. …yes with that being said, i only finished one of my side dishes. ordered two 2 meat plates(one for me, one for friend). One plate had ribs(because they ran out of the bbq ham) and pulled pork with fried okra and waffle fries. Another was the polish sausage, beef brisket with mac n cheese and Caesar salad. The workers got confused on what to put on which plate .but i mean cmon, i just told you like 2 minutes ago!!! i watched them cut and weigh everything, and it just seems like everything was just seran wrapped and used for the next day. the sausage didnt even look appetizing. or the pulled pork. or the brisket. when they scooped the mac n cheese omfg it looks nasty as fuck. UGH. anyways, when we paid for everything, i thought they were gonna give us bbq sauce. nope. its off to a side counter, which is fine… but THEREWASNOSAUCELEFT. at 630pm on a sunday –________– food wise — everything was lukewarm. except the fried okra and waffle fries, which they put in the deep fryer right away and served it to us 10 min later after we paid. …seriously those two were the only thing that was good. i couldnt tell the difference between the brisket and the pulled pork ! and the sausages were just. no. my friend said his pulled pork(or brisket??) tasted funny and that he got a stomach ache 5 minutes after eating it. Lets just say we both lost our appetites. The only thing i ate was a few bites of the brisket and all the caesar salad. the mac n cheese was alright. though. i had a few bites of that too. my friend just ate the waffle fries and okra. and packed up everything else the free ice cream? i shouldnt complain, but that was also … just okay. i would say i would come here again, but i’d be lying
