Doerr Park

Has a playground, a tennis court, a basket ball court, and a swimming pool nearby.
It’s OK I guess. I used to go here when I had friends. But now when I’m lonely I just sit on a bench and do nothing. A good place to reminiscence.
Only complaint I have is seeing dogs run around wild off their leash over by the grass outside the tennis courts — really unsafe.

This is my neighborhood park and it is now becoming overrun with off leash dogs and distracted owners. I can no longer take my children on certain paths during the day because of the disrespectful owners of these off leash dogs taking over the area. Today I even witnessed a dog lunging at the face of a 6 year old while the 6 year old was minding her own business on the playground and then simply looked over at the dog. I have seen more dog owners letting their dogs run around the playground off leash with children present as well and many of the parents and children are not happy about it. I guess childrens playgrounds are for dogs too? I also have witnessed many dog fights and the owners typically state that «he never does that» etc, which is hard to believe. It is sad that a few selfish and disrespectful people are ruining the park experience for humans and properly leashed dogs who now cannot stroll around the park without being harassed by off leash dogs.

A safe, lovely neighborhood! The playground geared towards smaller kids is nice and has 2 baby swings. The older kids playground about 50 feet away has a new-​fangled modern plastic structure, largely for climbing up challenging rope contraptions. One of those round, tilted wheels for spinning with gravity’s help is a favorite among boys and girls alike (3 to 8 year olds.)

Cute little park! I came her for a picnic and it was adorable with tons of shade and trees! The girls loved hanging in the shade watching the kids play soccer and people watch. Tons of parking all around the park on the street. They had bathrooms, tennis courts, play area for kids and huge grass area! I can’t wait to go back!
