Simply the best! We frequent Dolce Sicilia on Sunday mornings at the Country Club Villa shopping center. We have tried everything from the coffee to the cannolis, everything has been delicious. Better yet, this family operated business has the best service!

So I have had their pastries and they’re good. I used to frequent their stand at the farmer’s market. However, I ordered a cake got a confirmation and when I arrived(the cake was for my birthday that day). They didn’t have the cake, and apparently never got the confirmation. I was extremely disappointed because I was so excited for the cake, and they did apologize, but it was disappointing that there was no cake when I ordered it. Having to try to pick up a cake somewhere else on your birthday kind of sucks when you have to hope someone has a decent one on stock that day and ordered the cake half a week in advance. It pretty much ruined my day. As a result of the disappointment, I won’t be frequenting the stand any more during my weekly trips.

My favorite is the bianco e nero and first tasted this @ the San Bruno Farmers. Now we, my husband and I go all the way to CSM(College of San Mateo) to get it and it is worth the trip. I have tasted all kinds of French and Italian tarts, pastries, cakes and this is the best and to add, their cookies will also not disappoint a very discriminating palate.

Just brought some cookies at the San Pedro Farmer’s Market… the favorite was Biscotti della Cugina Concetta — a soft orange crinkle cookie… buonissimi!!!

I discovered this little gem in San Jose’s San Pedro Square Farmer’s Market a few weeks ago. I had sampled one of their yummy cookies on my way to brunch. I would have bought some, but I was in a rush. If you have lived or traveled in Italy then you’ll know these sweets are the real deal! They make me nostalgic for my school year in Italy many years ago. I’ve been thinking of their cookies and finally made it back today to get their biscotti della zia nina(a soft butter cookie with a jam filling) and tortine alla nutella(a nutella filled sugar cookie.) They are soooo good! I can’t wait to go back and try their cannolli… real cannoli is heavenly!

I can only speak for the Nutella cookies so far, but wow! They are SO good. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. I was fortunate enough to come across the Dolce Sicilia table at the Redwood City Farmer’s Market on Saturday. I want MORE.
