Amazing food! So many vegetarian options in buffet, wonderful music and ambiance, friendly staff! From the menu I’ve ordered the eggplant dish– delish! Thank you!

Is it possible for an Indian restaurant to go up in quality? I didn’t think I would ever see that happen, but these guys did it. Looks like they have a new chef, because over the last 6 months, going to the buffet has been absolutely delicious. They were a solid 3 star restaurant in the prior years! Buffet was even $ 10 last year, but still a great value at their new $ 12 point. Go try them out because I actually consider them one of the top in the South Bay as of now.

AYCE. I enjoyed my visit here; this place has a good selection of food and it’s clean with friendly service. Good lighting inside with comfortable chairs, easy access to the foods, yield a good place. The price is a bit better than most AYCE places. Tip: the veggie dishes are good. Parking: easy.

Oh my goodness, their butter chicken is sooooo good. The boyfriend loves the tikka murg. Their food leaves me very happy. My only qualm is with the hostess… I don’t appreciate the perma sneer she has EVERYTIME I WALKIN! Very unbecoming. Tighten up and turn that frown upside down-the food gives happiness and so should you.

Typical westernized indian restaurant, and added low quality and service. Tried the buffet, here is my opinion: Pros: 1. Chilli chicken was nice and spicy. Cons: 1. Not many varieties. One veg curry and one non veg curry. 2. Not really a good service. Waiters don’t come around to check if we need a lassi or a drink, don’t take away the used plates. 3. Not worth 11.99 $ for this buffet 4. I think they started calling Naan as bread after eating here. It’s not a real naan. Okays: 1. Desert was okay.

The buffet is à good option here. Nan is freshly served and they have a spécial item on tawa. Owner and staff are friendly. We live nearby and we fréquent the buffet. Good ambience and décorations on the walls. Décent but not too many varieties for the buffet with the typical indian buffet choices available.

The place is awesome the food is awesome everybody that works there is awesome… I have been there many times now and we have catered from this place for my family’s birthday parties and the food has been awesome. Donor has established this place at this location for a long time and you can tell by the service he provides.

I went here on a Sunday after Christmas at 8pm and the place was empty. It was just my fiancé and myself in the restaurant. We had the chicken curry, and Robak josh-lamb(I think that’s what it was called). We ordered the food medium and it had the perfect amount of spice for our dishes, my fiancé doesn’t like her food too spicy, and medium almost made it too spicy for her. We also ordered butter naan and garlic naan. Both of the dishes were perfectly cooked and tasted great. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone and I plan on coming back here next time I want Indian food.

Usually it’s good, but today(11÷29÷205) was not so, because the rice seems old, no fragrance but smells like it had water damage — almost like old rice. The salad is different, no head lettuce but cabbage instead. HOWEVER, watch out for the waitress that blindly charges all kids as adult price. You have to tell her; otherwise, she’ll charge full adult price for kids. The owner wasn’t around this particular time. Also, the waitress is not friendly at all. The music there is funny – raps and loud! Hope the owner is going to do something about it.

First off… it comes with rice! I ordered some because I didn’t know. Now I have tons. I ordered mild. My face is on fire. Butter chicken is okay. The order is tiny. Naan is $ 3 for 1 piece cut in half. Also comes with yogurt.

The food is still great, but I’m updating this purely because of the waitress. She’s constantly on her cell phone, basically throws the plates onto the table and is overall rude and makes the experience awkward/unpleasant. My family and I had been coming for years. When it was the owners’ son(I think?) that was the waiter, every experience was pleasant. One time when my father and I ordered the navrattan korma, they even specifically told us they ran out of ingredients and were getting more just for us! «Made with love», they said. What happened to the kind service that used to be here? It’s dismal now, which is so depressing because I used to love this place. Please, please hire friendly waitstaff. I understand it’s a family business, but is it worth losing customers over?

Satisfied lunch with my family and we have heard about this place and not have a chance to come over. We had Alu Gobi, butter chicken, chicken masala, tandoori chicken and a few dishes which are all very delicious. A point deduct of the disappointed dessert. They have a separate table serving masala chai(milk tea) and recommended to try it.

I ordered butter chicken, paneer tikka masala and rogan ghosh. Paneer was too sweet, chicken also was sweet. Rogan Ghosh was excellent but floating in oil. Desserts — pista kulfi — I have never returned dessert, but this was the worst I have ever tasted. I could not get past one bite. Gulab Jamuns — it was not good. Inside was hard and undercooked. Kheer was ok’ish, best of the lot. Paapad — cold! Have taken kaadi chicken and shrimp vindaloo to go — not sure how it will be. Will report later. Restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening. I wonder why? :-)

I would give this place more of a 3.5 star, but because the service was friendly and decent, I bumped it up to 4. A friend of mine introduced me to this place. It was my first time as I had their $ 10 lunch buffet. Talk about a bargain! They serve you a basket of fresh naan bread while you eat at your table. It was cool at the middle of the buffet station to see a sizzling pot of fresh Goat Curry. Unfortunately, they didn’t have samosas for the lunch buffet today. They change their food up everyday so samosas would only be on their lunch buffet some of the time. Overall, if I’m in the area, I wouldn’t mind coming back. It’s a great price for a hearty lunch buffet with a variety of dishes and sides to choose from. Friendly service, decent food with just the right amount of spice! ;-)

4.5 stars for value and food quality and service. My roomie and I tried this spot on Saturday right when they opened for lunch buffet, and we were both pretty impressed. I had just gone to Punjab café a few days earlier and was so disappointed that it didn’t fulfill my Indian craving so here were are. First off, the display of food is quite spectacular with all the copper serving dishes, warming trays, and this huge bubbling plate of curry in the center. It really did look like we were eating at the emperor’s palace. They had most all the favorites to choose from, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, dahl, curried potato, veggie samosas with spicy mint chutney. Your server will bring you fresh naan and water when you sit down. I like how they use dark meat in the chicken dishes as it should be, vs blah chicken breast. My fav of the items offered was their tandoori chicken, it was so tender and had a great smoky flavor. The veggie samosa is also good, but very filling, maybe split one with a friend so you can try other items. The mint chutney is quite spicy, pretty awesome, put it on everything. So all this goodness and i think it was only $ 21 after tax, $ 25 after tip for two ppl, which is so cheap. Happy to have found a good Indian spot close to my house.

Indian food is hard to rate, it varies so much from place to place. However this place is pretty authentic. Usually I have to ask for the spiciest level, just so I’m able to taste the food, but not this time. After tasting their dishes, my expectations were redefined. Don’t doubt the heat at this place! Aside from the food, the rest of the aesthetics were pretty great. Though– I will say that the seats were a little off putting. When I sat down, I thought I might fall through the cushion of the chair. If you happen to find yourself at this place, I definitely recommend the Chicken 65, as well as the vegetable biryani.

This is less than a mile from my house, but I haven’t tried it because I rarely am home for lunch. One day I worked from home and tried their lunch buffet and it was delicious. The buffet has a good number of dishes but it’s not huge. Everything was really good and really flavorful. I’ve been a couple of times now and the dishes change. I have had some really good korma dishes here. The only disappointment was the palak paneer. It’s one of my favorites and it wasn’t bad here, it just lacked flavor. I will definitely return here.

After coming here a couple times a month for almost three years, this is still one of my favorite places in the area. I love the people here and the food is great. The buffet is my favorite and I get carry out for dinner too. YUM!

We are regulars here and drive all the way from Almaden. We love this place. Food is great. Definitely not my favorite(Yeti is in Glen Ellen), but this is our to go place in SJ. They even catered one of our school fundraiser Adult Parties last weekend and the food was fresh, hot, flavorful, and delicious. We typically order the chicken tikka masala, paneer pakora, butter chicken, garlic naan, and Flying Horse. I find all Indian Restaurants expensive and around $ 50. The place is worth it. The staff is not really friendly. They are quite. Which I don’t care here because I come on dates with my hubby here. I focus on him and the food. But we do get everything we need and hot.

Spent the entire day at the hospital with my family member and needed to get out to have some dinner. My mom, step brother and I found this place on Unilocal and headed over. First impressions. the place was empty… which gave me sort of an unsettling feeling, but right away we were greeted by a friendly face and seated. We ordered quickly and the food came out fast and exactly as we ordered it. Everything tasted GREAT! What a pleasant surprise! I was so glad we ended up coming here! I definitely recommend!
