Enchanting Gardens of Almaden

There isn’t one thing that I would change about my wedding at the Enchanting Gardens of Almaden (EGA). It was a happy, stress-​free day that exceeded my expectations. My guests were amazed by the beautiful setting and had a great time.
What I love most about EGA is your ability to personalize the look and feel of your wedding. There are so many websites these days to find wedding inspiration. From the setup of the ceremony, to the layout of the dining tables, cake table and bars, anything is a possibility at EGA. We decided to have a BBQ company cater the food, which was all cooked fresh onsite. We purchased all of the drinks and alcohol ourselves, which saved a ton of money. We also hired a lighting company to string bistro lights with colored paper lanterns across the dining area and dance floor. They looked great during the day and even better at night. The finishing touches were either rented or purchased, like lace and burlap table clothes, mason jar flower vases, and wine barrel bars. The photo booth and sparklers were also a hit.
The wedding coordinator Marcia was great to work with. She has so much experience and knowledge about weddings, we knew right away we were in good hands. You don’t realize how much goes into a wedding until you have one. We met with her several times leading up to the wedding to make sure we were on track. By the day of the wedding everything was organized and Marcia made sure our wedding went according to plan.

We had our wedding at the Enchanting Gardens of Almaden (EGA). We could not have found a better venue for our needs. This is the perfect venue for a summer wedding. The gardens and the vineyards are so beautiful. The yard is quite spacious, private and feels quite exclusive. We had about 100 guests, but it can easily accommodate more. The venue feels so private because it is. A lovely couple lives in the house and rents it out for special occasions. EGA was a win-​win for us since they weren’t as strict with the choice of vendors as many other similar quality venues, and their rates are better than most.
The parts of the interior of the house that we had access to are also great. They were perfect for the bridal party and the groom’s men. The indoor and the outdoor spaces are great for pictures and videos too!
Marcia, our wedding coordinator, who is included in the price, was wonderful. She comes with decades of experience! She kept us (and our guests) on schedule. She is a professional — very reliable — she knows what she’s doing. If you’re looking for someone who can provide you structure and also work with your needs, Marcia is it!
Our guests also loved EGA. Ours was the first wedding at EGA and everyone in attendance was pleasantly surprised by such an easy-​to-​get-​to, yet such an exclusive, venue that they had never been to. In fact, we have had many people ask us how we found such a wonderful venue. A bonus is that children, who normally get bored at weddings, had so much fun also. It’s a large, safe space for them to explore.
