Goodware Restaurant Supply

Poor customer service and unprofessional both on the phone and in-​person. Their warehouse is small. I rarely see any customers which is a telltale sign. I recently called in if they have a certain item in stock and the man on the phone was rude which he told me to inconveniently to come in because the computer was down. I do not have time to come in that is why I called, and he should have asked for my contact information to call back as soon as he gets the answer for me, yet he hung up on me. I am definitely moving my business elsewhere.

It’s easy to get in the habit of going to restaurant depot every time as a food business owner I need something. But I was getting tired of making the trip all the way from Morgan Hill to the nearest restaurant depot, so I looked for other alternatives and found these folks online. Wow! Am O glad I went outside of my normal routine! The staff is friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Their warehouse had every thing I was looking for and I was looking for some pretty obscure items. Newsflash! I just went for my second trip here… Unfortunately I arrived five minutes after their closing time, just what? Here’s another difference between corporations and family run businesses… I called their phone number and lo and behold the owner answered I explained my situation that I was getting ready for markets tomorrow and their closing time by five minutes, he came right out and unlock the door and let me in an hour later I was ready for the farmers markets tomorrow!

I stopped by Goodware Restaurant Supply today with my family. I’ve seen it many times as we headed to the Costco Gas Station. We found parking easily and entered through the side door. You do not need to be a business/​restaurant owner to shop here. It’s open to the public.
Upon entering the large warehouse you will note the cash register counter on the left hand side of the shop and the right hand side filled with everything under the sun that a restauranteur would need to open up an eatery. We were greeted with friendly smiles by the husband and wife team that own Goodware Restaurant Supply (they were helping ring someone up that was obviously a regular customer). After their regular customer left, they asked us if we needed any help. I told the wife that I was looking for 32 ounce and 16 ounce containers with lids that were BPA, freezer safe, microwave safe and could hold hot soups. Both husband and wife smiled and told me that they have that in stock and that I would have to purchase each by the case.
Before I came to Goodware Restaurant Supply, I had already done my pricing of the items I wanted online. I asked how much it was per case and realized it was more than a fair price and decided on those two items. I asked if they had large plastic bins and other items and they were very helpful showing me where the items were which made my shopping trip fast.
All of the items in the warehouse were clearly marked with prices that were clear and easy to read. Everything was extremely organized. I was very pleased with the fact that I received excellent customer service, the products I purchased were a good value and they accept debit/​credit cards. I don’t own a business but I came here primarily for the to go recyclable soup containers. Now, when I make soups or stews and want to share with family and friends I don’t have to worry about having enough plastic food containers because I bought two large cases. They also have a great selection of recyclable and biodegradable to-​go food containers which I will definitely buy on my next trip (I already have some at home). To-​go containers are great for left-​overs at parties for my guests.
I look forward to shopping here again!

Opening a new restaurant brought me to visit several restaurant supply stores in the area. After leaving many of them unsatisfied and empty handed, I was relieved to find that Goodware Restaurant Supply had what I was looking for. My experience here was excellent due to the variety of products, helpful customer service, and reasonable prices. When I first entered the store, I noticed that it was well-​kept, clean, and had a friendly appeal. After a few moments of browsing the wide selection, a staff member offered his help to find all the items I was looking for. Although I am a pretty picker shopper, he was very patient with me and helped make my purchase quick and easy.
Overall, I was very impressed with Goodware Restaurant Supply and would definitely be coming back soon!
