Pay 3x more money to be Food Poisoned? NOTHANKS! A normal Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich costs around $ 3.50. So when i ordered a $ 9 one, you would think the quality would be at least the same, if not better than your average one. However, these are all pre made and been sitting in the cart ALLDAY. What was DISGUSTING& made me rate this 1 star was that the meat in my sandwich was RAW! YESRAW! HUGE Health HAZARD eating from this cart! I will post a photo to prove this.

Ok, fine. The sandwiches here ARE quite expensive given that they’re Vietnamese sandwiches, but what it’s worth they do taste good! I tried the Saigonese(shredded chicken) and the Street Food(pork) and they were equally delicious. Plus, what do you expect? Overpriced and Santana Row go, like, hand in hand.

I work in the row and needed a quick lunch so gave it a try. I odered the Bo Vang which was«braised beef». It was $ 9 for the sandwich which was pre made and took 6 minutes to toast. I took the first bite and the center of the sandwich was ice cold and bit into something really chewy. The flavor was good and the French roll delicious. But that chewy stuff I kept biting into turned out to be fat from the«braised beef». After picking all the fat away from the meat I had maybe a 1 inch cube of «braised beef» for a footlong sandwich so I basically paid $ 9 for a French roll with some carrots in it. They said all the sandwiches come prepared from the restaurant which I will not be going to after this experience. I would have been better off with a premade Starbucks sandwich then this supposedly gourmet Vietnamese sandwich.

I only tried the Street Food(the cashier said it was the top sandwich) and the Bo Vang. The Street Food had grilled pork while the Bo Vang had steak inside. I really like the Street Food; I couldn’t make out what the spread was inside. I know it was mayo, but it was slightly pink. I think it was because of the pâté, but I’m not sure. Anyways, I really liked the spread and the pork together. Compared to Lee’s Sandwich, it had more flavor, mostly due to the spread. I think Lee Sandwich uses just soy sauce and pâté(again, I’ve only tried like 2 – 3 sandwiches there). But price wise, Lee’s Sandwich wins. Also, I know the whole prepackaged thing scares people, but it wasn’t all that bad. Out of the two, I would definitely recommend the Street Food over the Bo Vang any day. I don’t know what it was about the steak, but it made the sandwich kind of soggy. But the Street Food wasn’t soggy at all. Overall, the sandwiches were good. I just wish the prices were a little lower. But I guess I understand since Santana Row is like an upscale place. I can only imagine the cost of rent there. I would come back for a quick bite to eat, but I’m not sure if I would drive the distance to only get a sandwich. TLDR: Would go for convenience after shopping(takes 5 – 6 minutes to serve}; a little bit pricy; has a lot of flavor. Get street food, not Bo Vang. You can thank me later.

Overpriced $ 8 Banh Mi where you go about a mile a away for half that price or even less. The sandwiches are pre-made, which is definitely not going to be as fresh as it is regularly. I shared half the sandwich and wasn’t all that great. It was a bit soggy and not much meat.

My girlfriend and I were on a shopping date in Santana Row around 6pm on a Saturday when we saw this cute little sandwich cart and of course we had to try! We both ordered the Street Food which is basically a grilled pork viet sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal although I would have to say that the inside was a little bit cold — not that it really mattered. The bread was heated to a perfect toasty crunch and the pork, mayo, cilantro, and carrots were complimented by a satisfying spiciness brought on by jalapeños. Additionally, customer service was great! Our cashier was adorable and she was friendly. Overall, the place offers a fantastically executed grilled pork banh mi and great customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back to try to rest of their menu!

Stopped by here with my friend on Saturday night to try it and I was very impressed. An 8 $ banh mi better be worth every penny and it was! I ordered the«Street Food» sandwich with the traditional grilled pork and it was absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the«Saigonese» which comes with chicken and also said it was great. The workers were polite and very inviting. I’ll definitely be back here during my lunch breaks!

So I’m a regular customer here. I’ve tried most of the sandwiches except for the Veggie, and I can say these sandwiches are pretty good. They recommended me the Street Food as the favorite, but personally, the Saigonese I had the next day was fabulous! All of the sandwiches have this signature spicy mayo in it. The Street Food sandwich is the classic grilled meat Vietnamese sandwich. The meat is marinated well, but the taste of it blocks out the spicy mayo. The Saigonese’s spicy mayo overtakes the chicken, but that’s what makes it my favorite. The Bo Vang has a nice melty beef, but it has these random carrots and absence of spicy mayo that make it my least favorite, but it’s still better than most! The workers here are nice, though one of the cashiers in the morning seems a bit unenthusiastic and sad sometimes. Overall though, service is pretty good considering they can accommodate my rush for lunch! Thanks!
