Slowest service ever. Workers are in slow motion behind the counter. The said 7 minutes for a sandwich but it was 22 minutes. In the flip side, the food was good. Don’t go here unless you have time to kill.

I would rather shoot my self in the foot then wait in this line again… The woman working there decided to take money and do transactions and sssssslllllloooooowwwwwwwwllllyyy waddle to the back to put gloves on(God knows if they’re sanitized) and to make sandwiches… Meanwhile the line is ten people long. After she finished one sandwich, she came back to take another order… of TWOSANDWICHES!!! Needless to say, I didn’t need my chocolate chip cookie after all. I was originally third in line but took twenty minutes just to get to second. Shoot me!

I go to the le Boulanger in so San Jose and like it a lot. However, the one in terminal B at SJC would not serve a breakfast bagel at 10:25am! No breakfast menu items after 10am. The mgmt should recalibrate their business model. Walked down to SJ Joes and spent more $ but got what I craved.

On my flight home I got to the airport with some time to kill. So I used the free WiFi to catch up on email, then came down here to get a meal to eat on the flight home. It worked well, for about 10 bucks I got a good sandwich with chips, they forgot the pickle and the turkey and cranberry sandwich would have been better with cheese(the creaminess would have helped). Still it was good and i am pretty sure the people sitting around me wished they had my sandwich instead of what the airline was selling.

It’s nice to get some breakfast sandwiches before my 630am flight, but the Mexican girl with dark hair and red ombré needs to check her customer service skills. As I was trying to order, I asked if I could get 4 of my sandwiches on croissant, the guy told me they didn’t have enough(no big deal, I guess but you’re a sandwich shop that just opened for the day. How are you out?) so I asked to get them on ciabatta and the girl STRAIGHTUPROLLEDHEREYESATME. Excuuuuuuse me, but you don’t roll your eyes at the customer while they’re standing right there. At least have the decency to do it in the back.

There are some meals that give you joy and renewed energy. After eating them, you can take on the entire world mano a mano. Other meals, however, can suck your soul away. Tucked away in a sad little brown bag was my reuben sandwich at Le Boulanger, the airport establishment where I came like a cold puppy in the pouring rain. After a fifteen-minute wait to receive my sandwich – the place is pretty understaffed with two people making sandwiches and one moonlighting occasionally as cashier – I could only think to myself, «What has happened to my life?» As I slipped the reuben out the bag and jostled the Miss Vickie’s plain potato chips onto the table adjacent to the depressingly empty Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, I wistfully reveled in the remarkably hopeless scene. Taking a bite from the lukewarm oven-pressed sourdough creation, I immediately was hearkened back to the days of rubbery luncheon meat. The pastrami inside was sliced as thick as oatmeal, the thousand island offered nothing of value, and the absent sauerkraut – they ran out – only seemed to laugh in my face. With every bite, I could only shake my head and resolve that this was a moment I could not repeat; no – it’s 2016! It’s a fresh start, a new beginning! So why was I eating one of the most disappointing sandwiches ever at Le Boulanger? Mineta San Jose Airport, you deserve better.

At 7:15pm before boarding a flight to Austin I decided it would be nice to get a sandwich and some chips to take on the plane. I spend time picking out my chips as an employee is hanging out watching me. I walk up to the counter and I am told,” uh sorry we are actually closed”. Seriously? For one, he could have told me right away, but more importantly, what are they doing taking up space in an airport if they are going to be closed at 7pm on a Monday night. What a joke.

What a perfect marriage: sourdough bread, and sour-employees. Probably the most UNHAPPYWORKERS I have ever seen, and now my egg and ham sandwich tastes sad. And now I’m stressed for no reason. Not coming here again lol

I tried the California Fresh on my way to Austin. The sandwich was pretty big, and the bread was nice, but it was kind of a mess to eat. The flavor was pretty good, but it was pretty much a standard sandwich you could make at home.

We came around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. I had high hopes for Le Boulanger because I’ve had their sandwiches catered for work many times. Their boxed lunches from other Boulanger locations are delicious. First off I tried ordering the pastrami, unfortunately they told me they clean the ovens on Tuesday and Saturday so no grilled sandwiches. Next I try for the Turkey Cranberry but get shot down saying not hot meat. My 3rd try I go for the California Fresh on the standard dutch crunch. The cashier told me no more dutch crunch and said sourdough was only choice left. I thought me meant sourdough roll but when I ended up getting my sandwich it was sliced sourdough ala wonder bread style. All in all I think it would have been a good experience if they were normally stocked but I wouldn’t go back unless they had the sandwiches available that I wanted. They also didn’t include my pickle, I asked after I started eating and they happily gave me one. I would definitely say it was an off day for them!

The service was fine. They just looked like they didn’t want to be there. And now, neither do I. The $ 10 cranberry turkey sandwich was so bland, it was terrible. An 8-year old child could finish this in a few bites and ask where the rest of the sandwich was. I could only taste the cranberry. The turkey tasted like meat and the sourdough tasted like bread. Where did the flavors go? The sandwiches come with a itty bag of chips. They’re not worth the calories. The bag makes the whole meal seem a little more depressing.

Serves espresso drinks, does not have an espresso machine. California sandwich thing… The bread is TERRIBLE. It will make your gums bleed. Goodluck fitting it in your mouth. Good ingredients, bad bread. Overpriced. Crumbs go everywhere when you bite the bread. I’m embarrassed to eat this sandwich in public, I look like a child with the huge mess I’m making.

Slow slow slow. I cringe when I see my early morning flight is going out of a low numbered gate in Terminal B. Low numbers mean far far far. The last couple times I decided to take advantage by trying Le Boulanger for my breakfast. The guy behind the counter was super nice but wow did he move slowly. He was reasonably quick to put the bagel in the toaster but it sure did take a while to slowly retrieve it, slowly place it in the bag with the cream cheese, slowly add the knife and slowly hand it to the customer(me). With so many people racing to catch their early morning first flights of the day, I don’t think some semblance of a sense of urgency is too much to ask. I don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but at that hour, nobody budgets much extra time to spare — I know I don’t. Le Boulanger should have«morning people» manning the early shift. That’s all I’m saying. Still the best bagel at SJC.

This place isn’t as bad as what some of the reviews had stated. Folks have to understand that at the airport you have to pay a premium for your meals. It’s an absolute ripoff. I completely understand. That being said, if you are hungry, barely catching your flight, and absolutely have to eat at the airport, I highly suggest coming over here. I would recommend going with that reuben sandwich. It’s absolute delicious. The meat is pretty fresh and they do heat up your sandwich so it has that nice soft and crunchy texture. The cheese is melted perfectly on the sandwich. The bread is pretty solid as well. The caveat to the place is obviously the price is slightly higher than other locations. However, I paid about $ 9 which isn’t so bad for a gourmet sandwich.

I realize you’re in an airport, but if you’re going to serve Illy coffee then you should probably have the foresight to staff more than two people on a weekend morning. Furthermore, your staff should be trained in efficiency so that a line of seven people does not take half an hour to be helped– nearly twice as many people got into line, only to observe how slow it was moving, and take their business elsewhere. I was one of them.

This was the best food I’ve gotten from San Jose Airport so far! Here are my thoughts: Clam Chowder Sourdough Bread Bowl: The bread bowl was large enough, but I wish there was a bit more soup! The soup was delicious and adding a bit of tobasco and pepper made it perfect. The Reuben sandwich was delicious! It was really well made, and the pastrami-to-sauerkraut-to-thousand island ratio was on point!

I like this little place at the San Jose airport. The service was great. A nestle sport top water bottle is only $ 2.89! The snores bar is heavenly! They also serve espresso, coffee and hot chocolate. There are bottles of vitamin water and soda In a refrigerated case. There are soups and pastries as well. You can find le Boulanger by gate 19.

Oh My GOODNESS! please do yourself a favor and save your money!!! honestly there’s nothing to eat at this airport. so i figured sandwiches are safe. service without a smile. chips needed to be refilled but was not. if it was, i probably would’ve gotten mrs. vickies. and my waist line would probably be upset with me. sandwiches took a long time to come out with two staff working and no one waiting. i totally wouldn’t recommend it! ordered: *grilled ham and cheese– my homemade sandwiches tastes way better than this! i can’t even believe that they charged me so much for it. i totally disliked the bread that it came with. which was the sourdough rye. it came with smoked ham, chedder cheese, sauteed onions, tomato. came with a free small bags of lays potato chips *country classic-came in a French Roll breast of turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, dijon. goodness this thing needed ketchup to taste better. came with a free small bags of lays potato chips. nothing special. i ended up only eating the turkey and tomatoes and tossing the bread because it was just way too much bread. if only it came with cheese. it would’ve made it better. tips: *cash and credit card accepted *it’s a chain that i never heard of. *shared table seating with illy *fountain drinks *fountain water tastes nasty as heck!
