Today I dropped by to look for some sliced bread. The sliced bread used to be close to the bakery in the past, but now they have been relocated to the farther side of the store. Very hard to find! I don’t know why they don’t want to have all the breads and bakery products close together, like the way it’s supposed to be. But what bothered me the most was at some point they switch to some kind of music and seemed to turn up the volume too, and that made it really loud. Crazy!

Clean — big — fresh produce. And lots of great deals. Friendly workers! Good to buy what you need if you’re in the area.

This grocery store have good deals. I feel a little awkward, because I’m Asian. The workers here are friendly and helpful. The one thing I go here with my wife some times is good deals they have here. Pros: Big Clean Cons: Homeless in front asking for money.

Lucky 7 deserves 4 stars for their cheap burritos at the taqueria. rest is the store is regular mex plus insurance, check cashing, pharmacy, bakery, liquor sales, etc. eats: lengua burrito(3.99) –regular sized, ingredients scooped from counter –all tasted fresh, no old stuff. –salsa bar next to register. 3.5 stars notes: –friendly, fast bilingual service.

I have to admit that I have never shopped at mi pueblo market, but I shop mostly at whole foods because I am csprüe and gluten free – but I like Lucky 7. The fruit is fresh and awesome, way cheaper than whole foods, and several people always offer to help me and are always all super nice. They do typically approach in español and I am unsure how their english is since I speak enough to get by – so maybe that offends people who think everyone in a mexican grocery store in east side san jose should speak english? Their product labels were easier to navigate for gluten free than albertsonS/lucky where no one on staff can help, or knows what you are talking about if you ask for help finding gluten free food. I like Lucky7 – they have the friendliest staff I have encountered at any of the grocery stores I shop at and I spend less. I have to assume(from the few seemingly hostile reviews) that the cultural aspect is too much for some people to accept. If you have low tolerance for experiencing different cultural ways of doing things, I would recommend staying away.

I look at the bad reviews of this place and I’m totally confused. This is a Mexican-type grocery store. You want any kind of Hispanic veggies, like Serranos, jalepenos, etc. You want Hispanic cuts of meat, really fresh on Saturday morning? You want the ultimate bulk salsa bar? This is the place. I come here and spend $ 20 for the same amount of food I’d get at Safeway for 2 – 3 times the price. And they have an awesome hot food bar with all kinds of Mexican cuisine!

Hold up… wheres the hand sanitizer? Wait? There aren’t wet naps to wipe the shopping cart? My mother said there were sales that caught her eye from the paper so I took her here. I didn’t have any expectations other than the place being an Asian market. WRONG. Walking in I notice there were smaller stores within the grocery store itself such as insurance, eyebrow plucking, soccer jerseys, and a tequila booth. Fine, everyone needs a living so having smaller businesses within this shop so this shouldn’t bother me. But the fact that this place looks dirty as heck BOTHERSME. *I think I just felt a scratch in the back of my throat* Walking around I noticed that there are lots of boxes all over the isles. I thought«oh they probably got a new shipment and have to stock the shelves». As I continued walking I noticed that there are signs on these boxes indicating the sales. Wait, they’re using the floor space to stock items. Fine, but it makes the whole store look so cluttered! *What’s that smell?* After about 10mins I feel pretty disgusted pushing around this unsanitized cart and just breathing in the air inside this place. I told my mom to hurry up cuz I think I just got strep throat. There are plenty of grocery stores within a 1 mile radius so this will be the last time I come here. Must douse myself with Purell now.

I thought Lucky 7 was an Asian supermarket — –there’s another Lucky 7 up in Milpitas and that place is Asian. Turns out when I got inside, its Little Tijuana, not Little Saigon. It’s a disappointment. Anyways, if you’re Asian like me, forget about Lucky 7 on Tully.

Uhhhh can they please put a sign under their name that says MEXICANGROCERYSTORE. I thought it was an Asian market since it’s in the middle of Vietnam on Tully Road. Turns out I was way off… 1 star for false advertising and for making me feel like I mistakenly crossed the border and landed in Tijuana.

I’m not hating this place, it’s just that they don’t have anything here that I can’t get @ chavez/mi pueblo. Know what I mean man?! They do have some wicked-ass malt liquors available, like that Loco beer and another new«flavored» malt liquor that’s 12% alcohol! i.e. two high octane beers + one fight at the bus stop + vomiting/passing out = A.M. at w. hedding st!

Really old place to shop at. Really rude customer services. It’s not even that cheap here. Just go across the street to Lion’s and find cheaper things.

This market is one of the 5 or so mexican grocery stores that send me sale flyers every week. i decided to stop by on my way home today. this is one of those all-purpose giant grocery stores like they have in mexico. they have a little pharmacy counter, a tortilleria/taqueria, an insurance/loan counter, etc etc. i wasn’t really impressed. the prices aren’t that cheap compared to the other ethnic grocery stores in the area, with the exception of the few things on sale. the meat looked iffy, especially the fish. they do have a few live fish, catfish and something else. the parking lot is not well marked, no stop signs or anything between the lanes. the entry and exits are not marked on the store either. i tried to enter in the first main doors near my car, and i was stymied. i was going to buy some mexican cheese that was on sale, according to a tag, but it rang up as the regular price. i didn’t want to make them run back and check, so i decided not to buy it. $ 5 minimum to use a credit card.
