I have had my nails done over the past twenty years by many a manicurist, but Vicki at Oscar Nails is the best of them all! She is professional, and it is obvious she takes pride in her work. An example would be that she makes sure the nail is evenly filed, and she checks to see that the nail is not too thick underneath.
Because of her attention to detail, I can wear my nails without polish, thus giving them a natural and clean look. But… I’m distraught because I am moving to another state and will surely miss having the quality of work that Vicki provides. In addition, I will miss her never ending smile and good nature.

I’m home for the holidays and in desperate need of a mani/​pedi so I found this place on Unilocal.
Service: They are so super nice here! Impressively nice. Vicky greeted me, and brought me delicious green tea. Tammy did my nails and did an awesome job, with great attention to detail. I would absolutely go to her again. I spent almost 2 awesomely relaxing hours in there. They also do a great job making sure your nails are dry before letting you go. Better than most nail places I’ve gone to in NYC where I live.
Tips: I had a hard time finding the place, the address listing doesn’t seem quite right, the place is actually on Santa Clara between 13^th and 14^th, not N 14^th and parking is in the back of the building. Free parking which is convenient. Look for the super orange interior from the street.
I called ahead and I’m glad I did. People kept coming in the entire time I was there, so it seems that making an appointment even day of is your best bet.

Very happy to have found this place. Vicky is incredibly nice and my nails look great! Cuticles could have been cut a bit more carefully but overall very happy.

I found Vicky through Unilocal and saw that she was within walking distance of my house. I just moved back to SJ and I was looking for a new nail salon. I called and was able to get a same day appointment with her. I love her friendly personality and excellent customer service! She really takes the time to get to know you and makes you feel really comfortable. I like the work she does on caring for my nails as well, not like other folks who do a rough job with trimming cuticles and filing nails. She even offers tea and water. Big plus. I think I found my new nail spot!

Very gracious, warm and welcoming proprietor. Salon is clean and as welcoming as it can be given the variable foot traffic in the area (but I live very close so they are my neighbors!) Professional finish, nice magazine selection, chatty or quiet depending on your wants — all the things I look for in a nail salon..

Vicky is the best manicurist I have ever been to. My nails always look so perfect when she’s done! She really does a professional job! In addition her place is immaculate, her shop is always clean and she even cleans while waiting for my nails to dry. You will never be disappointed if you go to her. She’s always pleasant and professional! Also, I have had a pedicure and the tub pictures are not true! Don’t know where those came from.

I’ve been going to Vicky for the past year, and she’s been nothing but top-​notch service and my favorite nail stylist. She recently switched back to this location, and it’s a newly painted, clean, spacious salon with new massage pedicure chairs. Her services are extremely competitive and well worth it!

Vicky has opened her salon. Vicky ‘s salon is now located at 25 north 14 st, suite 125(between 14& Santa Clara St next to Garcia pharmacy). Parking is on street or the parking lot behind the building.
She is always plesant and she offered me water as I walked. Her place is nice and relaxing. Always a great job by Vicky and good conversation.

She was nice enough to take me at 6 last minute. However I told her I am a new client leaving bad break up with my nail lady. She did not listen to my request to cut my cuticle nor did she make my nails even and all the same shape. They were messy. So messy she had to re do a nail or two. It took her an hour and a half of rushing me out the door. Vicky didn’t listen to me and my needs as the client nor did she do any design. She said she won’t because it’s too late and also it’s my first time. She seemed OK but was in way to much of a hurry, as well as not hearing what the client wanted.

I am very high maintenance and I love this place! Vicki does amazing job! She even allowed my doggy to sit on my lap because I could not leave him alone at home.

Vicki is the best! She’s been doing my nails for almost 20 years and she is a gem! Her work is accurate, precise, and simply beautiful! If your nails are natural she will work with you to help you keep them your desired length, and if they are gel or acrylic she is meticulous in making them look thin and natural.
I have traveled a lot and often had to use other salons to do my nails and toes, but not one has come close to Miss Vicki at Oscar Salon! I highly recommend her.

Vicky is incredible! So nice, charming and accomodating. I was in need of some relaxation after a stressful few months of working weekends and ten hours a day, so I thought I’d take the day off and see if I could get a walk-​in. She couldn’t take me right away, but took my number and said she’d call if there was an opening. True to her word, she called an hour later! I’m so glad I waited for her.
I got a full set done, and a pedicure. She straight up massaged each of my feet and legs for 10+ minutes, all while maintaining a calm and relaxing atmosphere-​just what I needed. Then, for the full set, she took a lot of care in making sure my nails looked wonderful. Usually full sets hurt pretty badly– I have sensitive skin and fingers– but this one barely stung. Overall she was wonderful and I will definitely, absolutely, 100% be coming back.

I came here because reviews were superb. But now I will only go to Vicky because of her skill, personality, and the overall manicure experience. I received a mani/​pedi with gel and had my daughter get her nails and toes painted for a very reasonable price of $ 58. She has a little corner of the salon, has 2 massage chairs, and one mani table. She was very easy to talk to and very accommodating to me (9 mos pregnant). She came in at 11 and I was her first customer. Do not walk in as she is by herself and books quickly.

Best pedicure I’ve gotten. Vicky is very personable and so sweet. Prices were reasonable.

I needed a pedicure this past weekend and I’m always open to trying new places. Since choosing a new nail place can be overwhelming even with the advantage of having Unilocal reviews to peruse through, I chose this place because of the 5 stars. I met Tammy who is just as delightful as she comes across in other reviews. She’s super sweet, caring and you can easily see how much she enjoys her job.
While the color selection was a bit lacking (I was looking for a light tiffany blue color or a hot pink), she was able to help me pick out a plummy pink from OPI (Koala Berry for anyone who’s interested). The actual pedicure was great– probably the best massage I’ve come across. I specifically asked her to not clip the sides of my nails on my big toe since my usual nail care place does this all the time. The result is dirt that tends to accumulate in the area which is a pain to clean but also makes my toes look unsightly when I take the polish off.
When I was done with my pedicure, she offered to polish my nails for FREE since she knew I was attending an event the next day. Her next client was running a bit late so she quickly filed them and then proceeded to paint my fingernails. I couldn’t believe it. No one has ever done this for me but she said that she appreciated my business so much that she wanted to do it for me. It’s now Monday and my fingernails are still chip free after a great weekend. Vicki is the truth! She’s the sweetest person ever & you can really tell that she enjoys what she does! She’s very accomodating & validates for parking in the garage across the way from the salon. There is no sign outside, but the door says Plan Be. Also, there is a slight lip when entering through the door, so be careful!
Her attention to detail is impeccable. I asked her to do a design for me & she recommended polka dots! & she did them in such a fun way. Great foot massage & beautiful pedicure! She’s definitely the best hidden gem I’ve found for pedicures! Book an apopointment with her! You won’t be disappointed!
