Precision Garage Door of San Jose

These guys were recommended by a friend who used them for a similar garage door problem to mine. Basically the tracks on my garage door have been out of alignment for quite some time now. The left side in particular had a bad bend to it where the rollers met the track.
Precision door service came out the following weekend for the repair. I briefly talked to the guy while I showed him the area that was bent and he gave me the option whether or not I wanted him to try and hammer it back in place or replace it altogether. I opted to just have him hammer it back in place because I didn’t feel like waiting for another guy to come out and help him.
Took him most of the morning to finish the repair, however it looked like brand new when he was done. A little grease and a few tests later and the door was sliding up and down like butter. He even added a couple support brackets to the track to reduce the chance of warping in the future.
The service provided by precision garage door is top notch in my opinion which is why I gave them 5 stars. No hidden fees, he arrived promptly, and the fix went smoothly. Not much else I could ask them for.

This was the closest company I could find to my location. Had to get them to come out for an emergency repair on our double car garage. I needed it fixed by the end of the week because we had an appraiser coming by to look at our home. I know absolutely nothing about garage door repairs so I really didn’t know what price was considered reasonable. I’m still not sure if I got a good deal or not, but they followed through with what they told me over the phone so I’m happy about that.
I gave them an above average rating since they were able to make it out before Friday and they were reasonably easy to deal with. I’ll have to look into the average cost of garage door repairs to determine if the price was reasonable; aside from that I don’t have any other complaints.

Never thought I would be posting for a garage door repair service, but here I am.
Last Friday I was rushing off to work in my usual manner, but as I was getting ready to drive off I looked in my rear view mirror and noticed my garage wasn’t shutting at all. I have a remote attached to the sun visor in my car and never had a problem with it until then. This was a huge headache for me, I have a lot of valuables in my garage so I couldn’t just leave it open while I was at work. I had my boyfriend come over to check it out first, he thought something might be blocking the sensors on the sides of the garage. He couldn’t find anything wrong with it so I had him stay back and make sure nothing got stolen while I took off to work.
On my way to work I did a quick Google search for garage repair in San Jose, that’s how I found Precision Garage. I explained my whole ordeal to them on the phone and about how my boyfriend was basically house sitting until I could get someone out there. They were totally understanding of the emergency I was left with, even going as far as moving their schedule around so I could get someone out there on the same day. Safe to say I was very happy to hear that. I was not looking forward to leaving my car exposed over night. Long story short they sent someone out during the evening to take a look and found the problem was actually with the sensors after all. I had my boyfriend do most of the talking, but apparently the wires that connected the sensors to the door were damaged and needed to be replaced. I’m guessing I accidentally hit it while moving some things around in the garage recently; it was bent in a weird position after further inspection. The Precision Garage guy finished the repair in about an hour, and after a couple of quick tests the door was back in working condition.
My favorite kind of company is one that is quick and painless to deal with. For that alone I would give Precision Garage of San Jose a good rating, but the fact that I was able to get my door repaired on the same day really pushes them over the top in my opinion. I’m hoping I’ll never need to have my garage door repaired again, but at least I now know a dependable company to fall back on. Excellent service, I would recommend them to anyone.

Called Precision with a garage door emergency. On July 4^th after much partying in the garage somone really messed up the paneling, they had a tech out Monday morning on the 6^th immediately to give an estimate, which he did within15 minutes. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable.
We had the door and installation set up almost right away Shawn was out on the morning of Monday 6^th with the panel to install, and had the smashed panel removed and the new one installed by lunchtime. These guys rock I will deffinently call them for any garage door problems in the future
