I sort of regretted soon after placing the order — what am I thinking? $ 15 dollar for ramen at a department store? The noodles just reminded me of the $ 1.99 instant noodle I had a couple days ago, same look, same texture. Don’t get tricked by how tasty it smells. Walk further to the food court; not saying the food is better there, but least you have more options.

After I did some shopping with my cousin, we decided to give this place a try. We were in the mood for some ramen and Raam @ Nordstrom just did it for us. Our server was approachable and helpful. I ordered the Red Chile Pork which came with the 6 minute egg and my cousin had the BBQ Tofu. The ramen wasn’t the best but it wasn’t that bad either. Of course this place does not serve authentic ramen. Therefore, the food is not the greatest. The broth is a little salty! For my first time experience, I give RAAM 3 stars because of the service.

I was pleasantly surprised, good flavor in both the pork rice bowl and ramen. I would definitely come back! My mom really enjoyed it and she’s never had ramen.

Not bad for Raman place in Nordstrom. I would give the food 3.5 stars. 4 when your hungry and just want to eat! Wait time varies. It’s self seat and most of the time I order right away. The inconsistent part is waiting. Sometimes it comes out quick, sometimes it take 15 min or more. Food isn’t bad, I actually crave it sometimes. The wait time brings it from a 4 to a 3.

i agree with MOST of the reviews … the NEGATIVE ones. this place is a dump. i have no idea where the delicious smells come from but it ain’t from the food. i cam here with my coworker because she felt like having some ramen. i’m so sad i agreed to come. i should have stuck to my senses & went to subway because it would have been 100000000x better. sat down, and like other Unilocalers the smell got me excited. there’s not much to choose from on the menu so i ordered the char siu beef ramen which comes with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, spinach, sesame seeds, 6 minute boiled egg, & ramen of course. & my friend just ordered the same but rice instead of ramen. our food came out fairly quickly and that’s when DISGUST hit me. i take one spoon full of soup and OHMYLANTA. it was like a spoonful of salt. so salty, it makes me cringe as i think about it again. the other reviews states that most of the time it was bland/plain. well mine was the complete opposite. holy hell, i’d rather have it taste bland than to have a spoon full of ocean water in my mouth. after trying to eat it. i just couldn’t do it anymore. i flagged over the waitress(who was the sweetest girl ever btw) and explained to her this bowl was INEDIBLE. i couldn’t even eat 4 spoonfuls. she apologized, took the bowl, and said she would see what was going on with the broth in the back. of course the whole pot is going to be salty, so she wasn’t able to give me another bowl. she asked me if i wanted something else from the menu and i did. i didn’t want that ramen back near me. i changed my order to red chile pork steamed buns which had pork, korean bbq sauce, green apple kimchi, and cucumber. this was a little bit better than the ramen but still a tad salty. doesn’t compare with the ramen though, thankfully. it comes with 3 steamed buns and i was only able to eat 2 of them. honestly, if i didn’t force myself, i probably would have just eaten 1 but i knew i would be hungry once i got to work. overall. the workers are very nice and helpful but the food is just HORRENDOUS. the food is either plain/bland or overly salty to the point where it is inedible. i have no idea why this place gets high reviews from other people but to each his own. if you’re craving ramen, DON“T COMEHERE. you’ll be happier at the food court.

Hm Nordstrom is such a big company but since when is okey for employee eating chipotle taking their lunch breaks with the costumer at the same time on the same table… Talking and laughing loudly. Is kind of wrong. And expect the buns here food is really not good :(((what a disappointment

Shopping for some clothes and you get slapped. Slapped by this delicious smell of food. Food in a clothing store? I thought it was from the food court but there was no way, it was quite a way from each other. Head upstairs to look at girl clothes for some reason. DAFAQ?! There’s a ramen house inside of Nordstrom?! I gotta try it… When I’m hungry. After walking by it many many times and smelling how good it was, I was too curious not to eat it. Grab a seat for two for me and my girlfriend. Sat down and ordered two delicious smelling ramen bowls. What came out was a ramen bowl alright. Just not delicious. It was more like hot water, noodles, an egg, and incredibly bland pieces of meat. How did they make it smell so good? We’ll never know. There’s only two options for ramen: Red Chile Pork Char Siu Beef My Char Siu Beef bowl came out with a super clear broth. The Red Chile Pork came out with a clear red broth. The red coming from the red chile that’s supposed to make it spicier I suppose. Both were incredibly bland. No idea how or why. I was so surprised by the bowl that I looked a my girlfriend to see her response to her bowl. She frowned at me. I frowned back. We threw in whatever we could that they had available to make our ramen bowl taste better. I turn to my right and I see and OG Vietnamese guy pouring Sriracha sauce all over his bowl ls if he was eating a bowl of phở. I don’t blame him. That was the only way you could eat this stuff. We only took a few bites but we decided that we didn’t want to get full off of Sriracha sauce and hot water. So we left the food at whatever we were able to eat and asked for the check. The waitress came, looked at our bowls full of ramen and asked us if we wanted to-go boxes. We politely declined and we just paid, tipped, and left forever. The waitress was super nice and it’s not her fault that the food is for lack of a better word, garbage. We actually left to go to the food court to get more food because we were so hungry and dissatisfied. 1 Star. Please don’t come here. I’m warning you. You’re going to be sorry.

I honestly love their ramen and come here all the time. It’s not traditional but I don’t think that’s bad at all; their broth is less fatty and they use leaner proteins. I always order the pork chili ramen and my boyfriend always gets the beef ramen. It’s not authentic ramen, but it’s still pretty good.

This is strictly based on taste and originality. After my mom and I finished shopping for our beauty essentials at Nordstrom, we decided to grab lunch. I’ve walked by RAAM over a dozen times and had always wondered how good the food would. Today was the day. We ordered the beef ramen and the Korean bbq bao. I was NOT impressed with their ramen. It tasted like a simple beef broth and they just threw in ramen noodle, veggies, and stir fried beef. There was no effort put in to add depth to the flavor. The ingredients did not compliment each other and it just tasted amateur. I would rather go to the food court and eat at that ramen place instead. My experience with KBBQ bao was worst than the ramen. It did not have enough flavor. The veggies they put on top of the bao was just for garnish and presentation. It did not help the dish at all. The ONE thing I LIKED about RAAM was their ramen egg. I thought it was cooked perfectly, although the flavor could have been improved. I was sad I chose the wrong restaurant to eat at since it’s rare that we both could find time to spend the day together. I would not come back.

Year of the Raaaaam, not. Ordered: — Char Siu Beef Rice Bowl $ 10.25 — Char Siu Ramen 10.25 Tina’s Treasures and Tribulations — Located inside Nordstrom of Valley Fair — No wait, you just take a seat and you’ll be able to get served — Service was minimal, but they were there — Food isn’t the greatest. Great on a winter day. — Who would’ve thought that this would be a place to eat since it’s smack right in the middle of the shopping center — Menu is pretty unique, but of course limited choices — People kept walking past us and looking over our shoulders, which wasn’t very comfortable — I thought the ramen was okay, nothing too special — average — The beef was tender and good, but I’ve definitely had better — Pretty pricey for that amount, but what can you expect when you go to Valley Fair — Maybe if I’m really hungry I’ll be back…

Came back for the pork. Egg was perfect. Much better than the beef ramen. Came at lunch time and service was super fast. It’s safe to say this place will be part of my usual lunch spots. Next up: the steamed buns…

This place was delicious. I always pass by and notice how good it smells but never tried it. I finally took a chance since I went one morning to the mall and was hungry. I spoke to the girl that was behind the counter and was nice. Explained the menu to me and what each item had. Took a seat and waited for my food. The bowl had egg which I had to take out because I dislike poached egg. The flavor or the ramen was delicious. I believe the meat could have been sliced a little more since that’s how some came and then I had this big huge piece of meat that did not look satisfying to eat. The price was decent.

The ramen here is ok for department store food. It’s improved since the first time it opened. The kim chi apple is a good side. I think the pork buns here taste good. It’s convenient because it’s located in Nordstrom.

That was one of the weirdest and awkward dining experiences. Ramen and Nordstrom do not mix! I really miss the great food they had at the café. So onto the review… Service was good because no one was eating there. I ordered the Char Siu Beef Ramen. The ingredients tasted fresh and the beef was cooked tender like beef stew but there was something missing in the broth. The Shiitake mushrooms were good. The portion is extremely small for $ 10.25. I don’t think this place is going to last very long… Nice try Nordstrom.

Raam is a ramen parlor located on the second floor of Nordstrom department in Valley Fair mall. A decent place to get your ramen craving on after hours of shopping. The char siu beef ramen was light and hearty. Red chile pork ramen was the better of the two ramen. Love the little hint of spiciness. What I enjoyed most was their nicely flavorful red chili pork buns. Very easy to eat, leaving you wanting for more…

The most americanized ramen I have had and I am a Mexican. It was seriously lacking flavor. Honestly, I could’ve eaten a 29 cent ramen package soup and tossed some the same stuff in and would have been more satisfied. But if you have to eat here and refuse to visit Chicken Wow in the food court then order the red chile pork ramen because it was at least a few notches more tasty than the char siu beef. I don’t have much to say past that.

We came across this place by chance while Christmas shopping and all we have to say is, boy oh boy was it an unpleasant surprise! With the amount of people they were serving, we were hoping it would be, at least, decent, but their ramen was not worth the wait. Their fresh ramen tasted like pure uncooked, soggy dough. It made the whole bowl smell and taste funky. Truely not worth the time and money

Simple menu, not really authentic Japanese ramen, but they’re more of an Asian fusion anyways. Char Siu Beef Ramen tasted like a Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and I think the ingredients in my ramen was much more suited for a rice bowl. Most of the food was already prepped and it looked like they just needed to warm and put everything together… didn’t look too hard to do. Didn’t expect too much since I was staaaarrrrving and came here on a whim. Highlight of my meal would be my egg and shiitake mushrooms! Loved the oozy yolk and flavorful mushrooms. Ramen wasn’t overly cooked and the soup was served at a good warm temperature where you can start immediately eating without burning your mouth. Would come again if I was dying for a bowl of soup and didn’t want to venture out of the mall.

I was shopping at Nordstrom one day and when I went to the 2nd floor, I saw a pop-up restaurants and people were having dim sum. Whaaaat? Decided to give it a try. This place is right next to the escalators in the middle of Nordstrom so you can’t miss it. Kitchen is in the middle, wrapped around in U-shape by tables and chairs. Raam’s menu is super simple. They’ve got 2 types of ramen(pork or beef), 2 types of rice bowl(pork or beef), and 3 types of steamed buns(pork, beef, vegetarian), and some appetizers. -) Red Chile Pork Ramen: B-. Don’t expect its ramen to be any where close to the famous places like Orenchi. The ramen came in chicken broth, which was not bad but just very typical. It’s not oily so I guess you can say its relatively healthy. Ramen’s texture wasn’t very chewy. Pork was marinated in a Korean type of sauce(not sure which specific type of sauce but something I tried in KBBQ). There’s also carrots, spinach and cucumber, which enhanced the Korean feeling even more. Another feature of this ramen is the so-called 6-minute egg which, guessing from its name, is an egg that’s boiled for 6 minutes. Well, not a big fan of that. Yes it resulted in a soft-boiled type of egg but WAY too soft that I would rather call it uncooked. Okay I exaggerated a bit, the egg white portion was in soft solid mode, but the yolk was 100% liquid. Maybe some people will like it, but if it could be 7.5-minute boiled I think I would enjoy it much better. -) Red Chile Pork Steamed Bun: A-. It’s a taco-shaped bun with pork, carrot, cucumber in the middle, comes in a bamboo dim sum steamer. Although it sounds extremely similar to the ramen, the feeling was a lot different, which was contributed mostly by the Korean BBQ sauce; and as a result making the overall experience a lot better than the ramen with chicken broth. Before I ordered I asked the waiter whether he would recommend beef bun or pork bun, he said«definitely the pork» which surprised me, because 99% of the time the answer would be something like«they are both good. If you like beef I say you go for beef. But pork is really good too if you like pork» things like that. Applause to the waiter’s honesty and it was good! If this place only serves the steamed buns I would give it a 4-star. But ramen/rice is their main dish and the ramen is really below average, so I have to give it a 3-star rating. But one day if I shop and I get tired and hungry, i guess I wouldn’t mind ordering the Pork Steamed Bun again!

What a pleasant surprise in Nordstrom to serve ramen! There’s lots of room for improvement but I think this ramen bar is off to a nice start. Out of curiosity of seeing so many customers, we decided to try out the ramen for ourselves. If you come here expecting Orenchi, you’ll be extremely disappointed. But for a basic ramen bowl, this accomplishes the simplicity. I had to dump about a third of the soy sauce bottle to get any flavor but when I got the flavor, it was good. I really liked that the portions were just right and I didn’t feel the need to crawl to my car afterwards. The green apple kimchee is a surprise dish. It’s only 1.95 and it has flavor. It has spice but it’s not spicy. The service is very nice. They give you plenty of attention.
