I come here strictly to hem my pants, jeans in particular. I’ve never used their dry cleaning services so I cannot rate on that. At $ 6 a hem, I think this is the most affordable alterations place ever! I don’t ever want to spend more than $ 10 to hem my pants – tacking on that much on a pair is crazy! Especially for a part of the pant that rarely anyone sees or takes note of. The lady who runs the shop is nice enough – not too much on small talk but she gets the job done and the turnaround time for a pair of pants is usually 2 – 3 days. Fast! Shops in Palo Alto area were trying to charge me ~$ 18+!! No way Jose! The only downside is this little shop is located in a tiny little mall with limited parking during busy hours – but not impossible. It’s located next to a flower shop. So if you’re cheap like me, come here to get your pants hemmed at an affordable price! Not sure if they accept credit cards, I usually pay in cash.

Dropped off a pair of pants for alterations. She said it’ll be ready Thursday morning. I came back in the afternoon and it wasn’t ready. I would have liked a call since the drive there for me is a bit far. I’ll change my rating as I go.

This is the cleanest coin-op laundry place in all of San Jose. Located in South San Jose on Senter Road in between Tully and Capitol Expressway, it’s worth the drive, especially if you have a car. For wash, the cost is $ 2.50 for the smaller machines, up to about $ 8 or so for the bigger ones. I’m not sure exactly on the gallons/size. The dryers run for 8 minutes for $ 0.25 instead of the usual 10 minutes, and at first, you think«Hey, that’s not fair!,» because you want the 2 extra minutes. But do you really? The other coin-op laundry places run their dryers for 10 minutes because their dryers are full of lint, dirt and other things that stink like soggy socks and a dog’s ass. Wouldn’t you rather dry your clothes for 16 – 24 minutes(dry 2 or 3 times) instead of 20 – 30 minutes, and end up with cleaner, better smelling clothes in less time, for the same money? Laundry supplies(like detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, etc.) are sold behind the counter at the front, and the manager on duty(Long) makes sure that things are kept tidy throughout the day. There’s also a clean restroom available for coin-op laundry guests only(it’s not a public restroom). If you’re from out of town, here are driving directions(by car) to get here FAST, in less than 5 minutes from the 101 freeway: Take E. Capitol Expressway from the 101(it is the 3rd exit south of the 280⁄680 freeways on the 101) Go West, which is to your Left if you’re headed northbound towards Oakland, or Right if you’re headed southbound towards Los Angeles /Gilroy /Morgan Hill. Go about a mile and a half until you see Senter Road(spelled with an S, not a C). Look for Senter Cleaners on the left side a few hundred yards from Capitol in a small parking lot with a few Asian restaurants around it. I haven’t visited any of those restaurants yet, but they are all busy at night, so the food must be good. I peaked inside the window of one of them and noticed it to be a modest in size, but not lacking anything else — spotless floor, 5 huge flat screens on the wall and a counter for bar seating. Since Long’s store is clean, I would take his advice on where to eat in the area.

We’ve used them a couple times now — the prices are great, they are diligent about doing their best to remove stains, and my husband(the pickiest guy on earth when it comes to his expensive clothes), says they do a good job. In fact, I originally dropped off a couple shirts, a couple suits, and a sportcoat/slack to see if he was happy with how they turned out, and he ended up dropping off 30 more shirts and 5 pairs of pants yesterday! If things continue in this vein, there’s no reason we’d go anywhere else for dry cleaning needs.

I’ve taken a few things here to be dry cleaned and had a pair of pants hemmed. They have always done a satisfactory job with cleaning and my pants came out great. I haven’t had any more complicated tailoring done, though i would like to one day. The store front is small and in a small shopping center that is easy to miss. Parking can be cramped but as long as you don’t drive a tank it is fine. They do seem to only take cash which is a detraction but otherwise I have no complaints.

Small store inside a small plaza, so you can already guess how difficult its going to be to get in and out. I’ve dry cleaned dress shirts and dresses here before and left satisfied until one day my bf picked up his dress shirts and noticed that half of the buttons from each shirt was broken; we were not happy. Although she did offer to fix it my bf preferred that he(his mom lol) fix it himself. We decided to give this place another try and this time we specifically told the lady to put a note to be extra careful with the buttons. Unfortunately it happened again… grrr. Ever since we haven’t brought any dress shirts back, only dresses and the reason being is I have yet to find a great dry cleaners place, as well as the location; it’s only a 3 min walk from my house.
