San Francisco has its Belgian Waffle Truck for sweet treats, but San Jose has the Sharks Ice Cream Truck handing out free ice cream novelties at community events throughout Santa Clara County. From time to time the San Jose Sharks will post a community calendar on their website on where the Sharks Ice Cream Truck will appear next. At the time of this review they’ve jet to update the listing, but the 2008 – 2009 hockey season just started yesterday so we’ll give them some time to get their website current. The main idea behind the ice cream truck is to promote the San Jose Sharks hockey team within the community by distributing sweet frozen treats that will leave kids and adults happy and remembering the Sharks. Last night the ice cream truck made its season debut at the Sharks Street Rally beside HP Pavilion handing out an assortment of Popsicle and Klondike brand novelties. Whether you like a Krunch bar or an ice cream sandwich, a Big Stick or a Life Savers Pop the ice cream truck is sure to have something to satisfy your frozen desserts desire.
