Super Churro Man

Consistently outstanding. The best churro I have ever eaten. I never go to an SJ Giants game without having one.

Every time I see him, I just think «Churro man!!!» Always seen him at San Jose Giants and San Jose State football games.
I noticed he’s been raising his prices per churro over the years. But hey, if you’re in demand you can raise the price. I get it. I still pay!
Best churros ever! Fresh, slight crisp on the outside, just enough sugar, and soft and warm when you bite in. Love Olimpos churros!

These are the most AMAZING churros. Perfectly crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, covered in cinnamon sugar and OMG I need one right now. Luckily you can find them after 10 am Sunday Spanish mass at St. Josephs’s Basilica, so you don’t have to wait till baseball season!!! Last time I was at the stadium, I got one of their shirts that said, «I’m just here for the churros», SO TRUE. :) Thank you Jenny B. for introducing me to this heavenly treat and thank you Tatyanna S. for helping me locate the Super Churro Man!

Hipolito with Olimpos Churros is the best churro vendor ever! I’ve hired him for many parties over the past 5 years (ranging from 500 to 1600 guests) and he is a big hit. I first met him at a Giants game and knew his churros were the best I’d ever had. These are not your Costco churros!

I’ve been having these churro’s since they first started. In front of Guadalupe. I used to pay $ 1 for these churro’s.

These are the best churros I have ever had! Each time I get to a SJ Giants game, I start looking for the Churro Vaquero. Although I am not usually a fan of churros, the combination of the crispy outside and soft, doughy inside is amazing! Plus he is a really nice man and hard worker to boot.

Loveeee these churros! This guy is a hustla! I always see him at the giants games & on Sundays after church «Cathedral Basilica St. Joseph’s» downtown. That’s why I say he’s a hustla! On Sundays after church their a buck each, a bit pricier at the games since he has to pay just to sell. Thumbs up to the churro guy!

Quite possibly the best part of going to a SJ Giants game. The churros that Super Churro Man sells out of his charming plastic tupperware container are so yummy!
The sight of Super Churro Man in the stands is exciting. And then he comes closer and closer to your section and you have your $ 5 ready so you can buy 2 churros. But then, just as quickly as he appeared… he disappears back into the tunnel. He has run out of churros and has to restock at the churro cart in the tunnel. So you can actually buy the same churros he sells from that cart, if you get tired of waiting. And don’t wait until the 9^th inning to get some because Super Churro Man will be gone and the cart will have closed. Get two of them as soon as you get into the stadium. Eat those two while you are in the long line for bbq at Turkey Mike’s. Then after you eat your meal from Turkey Mike’s, buy two more to eat while sitting and watching the game. That will be my strategy from now on.

Full disclosure: I don’t particularly like churros.
Or, at least I didn’t until I encountered Super Churro Man’s churros.
Hokey smokes! These are fantastic! Even after a full meal at Turkey Mike’s, a lemonade, cotton candy, peanuts, and a frosty beverage or two (courtesy of the Beer Batter), I am always ready with my five-​spot for Super Churro Man.
When the seventh rolls around, have your five in hand for the Super Churro Man!

Not just a churro man, but the super churro man! From homemade churros to the ones at an amusement park, none can even come close to the amazingness of these churros. This guy can be found making his churros in a little shack behind the bleachers on the SJ Giants bull pen side and serving them from a plastic storage bin. Not only are the churros warm, crispy yet soft and overall amazing, but they are super cheap with 1 for $ 3 or 2 for $ 5. Every time I’m at a San Jose Giants game, I will make it an obligation to get some of these epic churros.

These churros were pretty damn close to awesome! They were 1 for 3 dollars and 2 for 5. My friend got some for our whole group and man do I wish I had bought an entire one for myself. It was so warm and soft on the inside and crisp perfection on the outside. The man never used his hands to grab the food, he had new plastic wrap for each one. I’m going to be on the lookout for him at every SJ giants game that I go to :)

The ballpark is quiet… it’s about the 7^th or 8^th inning. The sky is dark and the sounds of baseball are clearly heard, when someone shouts, «DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?» The crowded is bewildered and shaken, but they look down to see the warm smile of the Super Churro Man of the San Jose Giants minor league affiliate of the SF Giants.
This is an absolute «must have». Warm, sweet with cinnamon and I’ll admit they even go with beer! Super Churro Man is a fixture at San Jose Municipal stadium and there aren’t many of these guys left in baseball! If anyone remembers the Super Peanut guy of Safeco Field/​Key Arena, this is a similar vibe!
Plus, full disclosure, my last Churro in San Jose was «Comp’ed»!
By the way, the answer is: «IT’s CHURRO TIME!!!»

This ballpark is great. Great people, great game, great price… so what can make it that much better? Super. Churro. Man.
These churros are hot. These churros have that wonderful crispy exterior of being fried well mixed with cinnamony sugar goodness. The inside is soft and doughy and undercooked… melting in your mouth!
2 for $ 5 dollars of deliciousness!

Calling these the best churros in the world might be hyperbole. Few people have tried all the churros in the world to make such a statement. I, certainly, have not.
However, these are the best churros I’ve ever had. They are fat. They are super crispy and crumbly on the outside (and that’s before the cinnamon sugar), almost custardy on the inside. And that’s not custardy in a raw dough way, but in a ‘that’s on purpose; it’s why they’re awesome’ way.
If the only churros you’ve ever had are the Disneyland /​Costco ones, you may want to avoid these, just so you can still enjoy those churros in the off-​season without thinking they’re utter crap.
Remember to bring a five dollar bill to the park. You will not miss the churro man. 2 for $ 5. Always 2 for $ 5.

I have NEVER had a churro that was so hot, crispy outside gooey soft inside in my life…
There are two opportunities to get them at the stadium… I prefer the guy with the magical plastic single drawer that I can smell from 1 group of stands over.
This is one of my comfort foods where if I eat one… the whole stress of the day magically disappears

I’m not big on sweets, but the Super Churro Man wearing the spectacular ranchero hat comes through for my taste buds every time. To any of the skeptics out there, seeing the ranchero hat will remove any doubt you may have over the authenticity of the product he sells.
He charges $ 3 per churro or for $ 5, you get 2 churros that are in a league of its own. I have yet to come across a churro that comes close to the quality of the ones served by the Super Churro Man.
The only reason why my fiancée goes to San Jose Giants games is because of the deliciousness that this guy delivers out of his plastic storage bin. As scheduled, she entered her annual depression when the season ended, but bounced out of it when she found out that he works Christmas In The Park in downtown San Jose as well as Spartan Stadium every Sunday.
My fiancée and I would love to have this guy serve at our wedding and anyone in their right mind would want to go to our wedding if he is catering it.
