Ordered the Steak medallions and baby back rib combo during lunch. The ribs were fantastic; falls off bone. The filet medallions were very tender. Great meal for the money. The best part is it was quiet and you could hear yourself think hear. Met some other local people here that were very nice. Absolute great overall experience. Good place for dates. Quiet for talking.

Welp we walked into this blind I guess all the cars in the parking lot were for Applebee’s had we not been in a hurry. We would have stayed there as well. We decided to go to the restaurant close by however did not know what we were getting ourselves into. It began with there being but a few people in the whole place. Nobody was welcoming or really friendly either. Our server was Priscilla. I was very disappointed in her attitude. I get it, working in a restaurant can be stressful, however you’re still required to put on a happy face. She was cold and didn’t smile once. I didn’t want to tip her for I thought she didn’t earn it. The food wasn’t very good. Before we even looked at the menu we were told they were out of pasta and ribs which is half the menu. We received bread which tasted like saltine crackers I can get from my cabinet. But buffalo sauce was okay and oh I forgot they ran out of ranch and was brought blue cheese which I made a point to say I didn’t want. The Caesar salad was bland and lacked any type of flavor. The chicken breast my bf got was dry and over cooked. He said“I feel like I’m in an episode of kitchen nightmares with Gordon Ramsey« Needless to say we will not be back

I went here w/my bf on my bday, and I’d say overall, we had a good time there. The service was good(although, my only complaint abt it is that even though we ordered my plate first & added his after, my food didn’t arrive until after his!) The food was really good =) We ordered the lobster bisque soup, chicken spinach stacks & chicken alfredo(all delicious, except that the alfredo sauce had a strong lemon flavor that was a little too much for my liking). We also ordered the strawberry lemonade & strawberry limeade mixed drink. As a bonus, bc it was my bday, I got free ice cream – vanilla w/chocolate syrup –and my food ended up being on the house! :D(so I’d definitely recommend that people go on their birthday LOL)

I’m impressed. The entire atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The food is so good and the service knows it. I had the short rib and aside from being a bit fatty it was mouthwatering perfection. Paired with a good glass of Cabernet and I’m ready for dessert. Going for the strawberry cheesecake and writing this review before it comes because confident. Our waitress Priscilla, was calm, laid back, and on point. I haven’t seen my husband this happy with a meal in a long time. We’ll be back.

Where to begin… If zero stars was an option, I would have chosen it… I used to go here often years ago for birthdays and other celebrations. We recently visited on a Sunday afternoon for a very important occasion and were extremely disappointed. The empty parking lot should have been a clue that we were in for a bad experience. The building was virtually empty. We did manage to get a nice spot next to the fireplace, which is probably the only positive thing I can recall. The service was very unprofessional, they didn’t even ask us what we would like to drink… Ever. We eventually managed to flag down a server and requested some beverages. The servers seemed surprisingly busy considering there was no one else in the building. They gave us one serving of bread and butter for a party of six people. The bread was good, but unfortunately none of the other food was. We got hamburgers that were dry, burnt and completely lacking in any flavor whatsoever. Even my son commented on how dry and burnt tasting his hamburger was. The fries were soggy, and the pickle that was suppose to come with the burgers never arrived until we asked for them for my son. The pickles were pretty much the only thing he ate. Bathrooms were dirty, silverware was dirty, there was hardly any room to get in and out of your seat because the other tables were too close. Overall a terrible experience. Which is too bad, because this place used to be good, but now we’ll be avoiding this place for good and recommend everyone else do the same.

A terrible experience. We ate(?) there on Christmas day because they were one of the few restaurants open. Although crowded, we got seated fairly quickly — about 15 minutes. The waiter was a bit slow to get to us, they were busy. He took our order and after 10 minutes or so out came our salads. There were four of us and three salads arrived, the fourth about 3 – 4 minutes later. A bit later, a table serving of bread and butter arrived although other tables got their bread almost as soon as they sat down. After a very long time three of the plates of food finally arrived. It was now just over an hour after we were seated. These plates arrived not by our waiter, but by another who said the fourth plate had been dropped in the kitchen and would be redone and up soon. One of our party had ordered mashed potatoes but her plate came with a baked potato. The waitress said the kitchen had run out of mashed. Wouldn’t you think they would have asked. This person would have preferred substitution with French fries. Another of our party ordered a grilled sandwich. One corner of the toasted bread on the sandwich was soggy. The only other item on the plate were French fries, nothing that could have gotten the sandwich wet. This must have occurred by cross-contamination in the kitchen. A very, very dangerous concept! After ten more minutes, we asked the waiter about the fourth plate and he came back and said the steaks had just hit the grill. If they dropped a plate, don’t you think they would start to replace it immediately rather than after ten minutes? After five more minutes, still no fourth dinner, we captured the waiter’s attention. We cancelled the fourth dinner which had still not arrived and asked for the manager. It was now 7:35 — 7:40 and we had sat down at 6:15. We explained all that had happened and he nodded but was otherwise rather silent. He did ask if we would like coupons for future visits and we declined vowing to never come back. They did take about half off the bill, but it was a nice evening rather ruined.

Tony Roma’s has super tender ribs. I love how the meat falls off the bone. The bread is nice and warm, too. Service was a bit slow, but its understandable considering how understaffed they were. I saw the server playing a lot of different roles(host, bartender, waiter, etc). Overall, I’m still a Tony Roma’s fan. Its a great place to have ribs.

Oh geeze… In the restaurant’s defense, we have had good experiences in the past. Tonight was not one of them. Yes, it is a very very rainy Thursday night. Regardless, the experience was just not good. We waited for the hostess to come to the welcome podium even though there were clearly only 3 guests or so in the dinning area. We were seated at a nice booth near the fireplace which I enjoyed. The waiter couldn’t have had more that one other table, max. Yet somehow our drinks took ten minutes to receive. The beer my husband ordered was delayed. Then the waiter said there was a technical difficulty with the tap. Then another 5 to 8 mins later said they were out. My daughter ordered noodles with butter that comes with fries & broccoli. The fries were missing. The noodles had«weird things», aka parsley, on them. I asked if they could please take it back and bring just noodles and butter(like we specified initially). The waiter, took it to the kitchen, brought back the same dish, said that it was noodles with butter. I said yes I know. Blah blah blah… I still sent it back asking that it be JUST noodles and butter. We eventually got what we asked for. My chicken was literally drenched in cheese and what was clearly frozen spinach. The chicken was sad. It was sooooo thin! I had to scoop off all the excessive spinach/cheese goo just to find the chicken. I really hate giving negative reviews, which is clear from my other reviews that are 99% positive. This experience tonight was really disappointing. :(We will not be back.

Hello fellow Unilocalers, This place has a great doorman, good service, and mediocre food. If you are looking for a restaurant that has good service this is the place! The doorman is very attentive and the server is nice. However the food is not so great. My husband order a steak, well done, he got it medium rare, and the outside of the steak tasted very much like charcoal. The clam chowder was watered down as well as my strawberry Roma Rita. The steak also had a lot of fat. Maybe the rib dish would be better? But our food was ok. Our visit was not bad because the crew was very nice.

If you are looking for some impressive environment, you will be disappointed. You will feel trapped back in the 60’s, if you are looking for decent prices, you will be disappointed. Everything is expensive, even the Coke is $ 3.00. If you are looking for some quality food, you will be again disappointed. I ordered clam chowder and I spat every clam out. It was rubbery, direct from a can. I was so hungry, that after 20 minutes I had to beg the waiter to bring out the soup. When the sirloin came out after another 20 minutes waiting, I spat again most of it out. It was full of gristle and whatever bites I could chew, gave me a burning taste in my mouth. When I turned the meat upside down, it was dark. When I complained to the waiter that they overcooked my order, he asked me if I want anything else, I said bring the bill and let me, get out of here. I wasted my money, but that was the last time

After going to the gym I had to decide what to eat that would fit into my diet. Ahhh, ribs… Yes, ribs, beans and veggies! :-) #MyDietsBetterThanYourDiet So I went to do pick up at Tony Roma’s since I haven’t been here in a few years. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have a take out window outside! You don’t even have to go in to pick up your order. That was great!(+1 star for convenience) Got home and then it was time for the food… The baked beans were good. Next time I’m at Safeway I’ll have to figure out which one they used and get it. The broccoli was good. And then came the ribs… Well I guess I should probably cut them some slack because I should have known what I was getting from a barbecue place that doesn’t have any smoke coming from it. They were the standard Chilis, TGI Fridays, Applebees type of ribs. A bunch of small ribs together with sauce and not separated. I guess if you compare it to those other casual dining places it’s not bad. I had a taste for some real BBQ today, and I guess I forgot. …my bad Tony. Probably good for families or happy hour with your buddies.

I’m upping my stars as I gave Tony Roma’s another shot this year — I just couldn’t stay away from my favorite childhood joint. They’ve really upped their service and food at this location. I called in to place my order for takeout, and the woman i spoke with on the phone took my order right away. My food was ready for pickup when i showed up 30 minutes later, and the staff was very attentive. The reason for the –1 star is because when I dined in, I noticed that they don’t serve sourdough bread anymore, just regular french bread and the onion loaf, although crispy, was overly greasy and tasted like it could be borderline burnt. The loaf we got looked nothing like the photos posted, except for the cylindrical shape.

Tony Roma’s where do I start?! Well from the moment we walked in we where greeted, and seated. Amber our waitress got to us immediately, took our drink orders, gave us time to look over menu, wasn’t rushing us. She was very attentive to us during our entire dining time. My husband who can’t eat food without a drink, was very impressed he got refills without having to ask… My picky eater of a son got the kids BBQ ribs plate with corn on a cob. He loved it! Ate straight to the bone! Now everything was perfect the timing the service. The 4star rating was due to the fact my husbands and mine food. He got the Cajun chicken pasta, he wasn’t to satisfied with the taste. He also didn’t get any mushrooms that was supposedly an ingredient. But that was no biggie ultimately because the service overweighted the missing ingredient. But flavor could have been better, he liked the baked potato soup though! I order the Mojo Mahi Mahi with pineapple salsa! Sounds delish right?! Well, not so much I was disappointed because each bite was over powered with ginger! I mean a hint would of been nice, well each bite sure cleaned my sinus out… Also the Mahi Mahi was a little dry for my liking but not to bad. The rice was good it wasn’t dried out, I also got the loaded mashed potato! That was yummy! Overall the experience was nice being we had two younger kids with us and where tended to in a great timely fashion. I would go back especially to try the raspberry chocolate dessert they have!

I went to Tony Roma’s with out of town visitors who were looking for some American food experience. We had the beef ribs, baby backs, short ribs… and fish. The setting at the entrance floor(next to bar area) is comfortable and the atmosphere is nice with he decoration and fireplace setting the mod. They also have two TV’s in that area. The service was warm and very friendly. We didn’t have to wait long for the food and drinks and our server came by a few times to check on us. The food portions are huge. I LOVE ribs of all kind and especially baby backs. I don’t eat them often because I try to eat a healthy diet, so when I allow myself this ultimate pleasure/sin I am usually psyched about it. I can finish a whole rack and wish for more. Although the meat fell off the bones, I didn’t like my food. I’m not sure if it was their sauce that I didn’t like or if it was the meat, but I did not fall head over hills like I usually do when a baby back rib happen to slip in my mouth. The beef eaters at our table enjoyed their ribs, but said it’s nothing they would especially come back for. Their onion loaf was disgusting. Funny enough, the woman who ordered the fish plate was the most satisfied person in the table.

I sent an email to the one provided with my last review. No reply. I honestly have nothing against this restaurant, and think the food tastes great. But if you’re going to sprinkle something on my mashed potatoes, please make sure it’s something edible that I can’t fracture my teeth into multiple pieces on.

It was a mixed bag, but we will be back. We tried the BBQ sampler for dinner, that is not on the menu. I do not come here often enough to remember what I like, so this was the best option. This allowed us to try the baby-back ribs, St. Louis ribs, and a beef rib. The beef and baby back ribs were just okay. Nice sauces, but the ribs had kind of an off flavor. In contrast, the St. Louis ribs(flat and straight bones) were really good, nice flavor and texture – falling off the bones. I wished we had just ordered those, and will do so next time. We came early on a Sunday evening and the wait staff was very attentive and helpful.

The service here was great from start to finish. I like that a host or greeter holds the doors open when people enter and exit. Also, our server Ricky was extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. Unfortunately some of the food fell short, and none of it impressed. — My wife ordered a New York steak, medium. Cutting into it revealed that it was somewhere between medium-well and well-done. It was pretty bad. :[(We didn’t send it back, for fear of the chefs spitting in the food or something.) — She ordered a cup of lobster bisque(soup of the day) instead of a salad with the steak. I thought the flavor was nice, though we both agreed that it was too salty. — I ordered the baby-back ribs(full rack), which by default were basted with the original BBQ sauce. These were tender and tasted good. I also got the Carolina BBQ sauce on the side, and it had a nice tangy flavor. — We both had the loaded mashed potatoes as our sides(includes bacon, cheese, green onion), and we thought that was not bad. — The cole slaw that came with the ribs was fine, as was the fresh bread. Years ago, the place used to get packed(including the basement dining area). Now the basement stays unlit, and they don’t even fill the main dining room. Overcooked steak + mediocre everything else = problem. Loved our server and the fireplaces going strong last night, didn’t care for the majority of the food we ordered. Heads up, if you check in on Unilocal you get a deal for $ 10 off of $ 40, which was a nice perk. Came in with BF and his mom late last night, she went for a featured mushroom and steak flatbread, BF went for the NY strip, and I got the wedge chop salad with buffalo egg rolls. Steak was the best– very good char on it, cooked perfectly to medium rare. Flatbread and egg rolls were both kind of off and just didn’t taste right– sauce on flatbread was weird, too many red onions in rolls. But both the salad and rolls were served with what was called«bleu cheese dressing» but both looked and tasted weird– looked very oily and didn’t have much taste. Mostly just oil and chunks of cheese, but again, not much in the way of taste– certainly not the strong bleu cheese taste or creamy texture the dressing is known for. Don’t know if it’s a weird house-made version specific to this chain or if they were at the bottom of a container, or what. Service was super friendly and sweet, had a cheerful and bubbly Asian waitress who I wouldn’t mind working with again. Only downside to service was that my egg rolls came out a good 5 minutes after everything else was served, and by the time I was mostly finished with my salad. Awkward, but not a deal breaker. Might give this place another chance since it’s so close to home– apparently their meat dishes are really what’s good here, might have to snag ribs instead of steak next time.

Pretty OK. Tony Roma’s is one of those chain type places that are decent, but much more betterer if you have a coupon. Yup, had a good coupon today. We tried the lunch special, which is a decent value even without the coupon. You get your choice of: — salad, — entrée, and — dessert for $ 12.99(price w/o coupon). Service was pretty ok. One odd quirk: We came in around 12:05PM, and they only gave us the dinner menu. We have to ask if they had any lunch special, and lo-and-behold, they have a pretty decent lunch special offering? Puzzling why they wouldn’t give us both menus to begin with. The salad was fine. Got the Caesar and it is pretty small, but not bad. I ordered the pasta special, and it was pretty ok, but not so much special. The«raspberry brownie royale» which = brownie with ice cream and raspberry syrup was quite nice. So nothing much to report on this go round. Pretty much an ok meal at an ok restaurant chain. One last note, the complimentary bread was mediocre. Sometimes these restaurant chains have killer«free» bread, but the bread is passable, but not awesome. Tip: Bring a coupon.
