Do not buy from these people. They sell bad appliances and the customer service is horrible. Even though purchase comes with a 90 day warranty, getting someone out for repairs is like pulling teeth. They are dodgy and do not follow through.

HORRIBLE business ethics and etiquette, I do agree with whomever said they should be reported to the Better Business Bureau as this is how I feel after my conversation with the owner today. My husband found a range hood they were selling on craigslist. When he called they told him one price which he was willing to pay. When he went into the store the owner lady was not there so her EMPLOYEE checked my husband out and sold him the range. When he rang it up the range was a little cheaper than the price he was initially told. My husband paid for the range and came home and installed it. 4 or so hours after he was home and the range was installed he received a call from the owner stating that her employee charged him the wrong price and he needed to bring the range back to her store immediately. He told her it was already installed and she kept arguing with him. The call was dropped and she called back. I picked up the phone and TRIED to explain to her that it is not our fault that she did not communicate the proper price to her employee. She was now insisting that the price we should have been charged was SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what my husband was first told. If this had been the truth then we would not have ever shown up to buy the range hood as we could have bought it for less at home depot in our own town than this new price she was now claiming we should have been charged. We paid what the employee told us to pay at the register. She continued to cut me off throughout my explanation and comments and never accepted the responsibility that she should either clearly mark the prices on the items in her stores or clearly communicate the prices to her employees. If you were to buy an item at any store, lets say home depot, and they had the item miss marked or their cashier sold it to you for the wrong price that would be their or their cashiers fault and loss. I have worked in retail and it is your job as an employee to know your prices and an owner/​managers job to insure their employees are well educated as well. How are we as customers supposed to know what the price of the day, sale amount, discount, etc are? We don;t set the stores price. After I TRIED to explain this to her again and again she told me Good Luck with my life and my daughters and sons in a threatening way. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! The things I could continue to say about how crude and disrespectful this lady was would have me going on all day long. I truly hope she can learn from this and improve her attitude and business etiquette.

I have been using Nancy with Vertex Appliance 2 for years. She has always been a pleasure to work with. I’ve purchased both new and used appliance and everything works just fine. I love the 90 day guarantee on the used appliances. If you are looking for a professional and friendly place to buy appliances I would definitely go to Nancy at Vertex Appliance 2. Nancy and her workers are all amazing!!!

We purchased a used refrigerator and had free delivery all the way to San Juan Bautista. The fridge stopped working within two months and Nancy, the owner, sent out her repair guy to fix it. She did not charge us the travel fee we agreed upon for repair on the first visit and her techinician spent about two hours and got it up and running again. Although he did not speak English, he was polite and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the repair work lasted only a month, and the fridge gradually stopped working again. Now that we were out of our 90 day guarantee, I was afraid that we would be stuck with a broken fridge. I called Nancy and she once again sent out her repair guy (this time we did have to pay the $ 55 travel being so far from San Jose). Same repair guy came this time with a compressor. He spent a couple of hours and repaired the fridge once again! Nancy is very responsive and great to deal with. I would recommend this company when looking for used appliances. Just remember… you are buying a used appliance!

My washer of 10 years died so without hesitation I went to a location that I knew sold used washers. My other washer was used and I purchased it from a friend so I had no issues with buying another used washer at the time.
Went into the store and they have washers every where so you think that they know what they are doing. Most all of them look new and are clean so I thought I was buying a great unit since they had 5 of the same brand in stock. I think mine was the parts machine since after about 3 months the water would no longer go out of the machine.
After fixing this issue the transmission is now broke and the part costs about the same as the machine did $ 350.
I think I am going to have to by new this time…

Both good and so so. I bought a gas stove that is working great and a fan to go above which was a great deal. I also bought a fridge, that started leaking 1.5 years after I bought it. I was able to fix it myself, so it is still working. Over all I’d give it an ok plus, so 3.5 stars. The good thing is they take away your old appliance. The delivery person was really a great guy, he really had to struggle to get out my old appliance, so I’d give him 4.5 stars.

I found this place while searching google and Unilocal.My washer died, and I needed a new one. lol.
Called them up and got a quote on a washer of good quality, but it was a bait and switch. Thats the reason they lose 1 star. Other than that, Im really satisfied.
The washer worked great for about a month then mysteriously stopped working. They have a 90 day warranty on used washers, which is cool. I called them up, and had someone out at my house to fix it the same day. Seems as though one of the wires came loose.
The repair guy was super polite and chill. He stayed there after he fixed it to make sure that it ran the full cycle. Very impressed with the customer service, and my washer.

Now it gets even better. $ 500 used fridge, which I thought was so cool, just died, ruining a massive stash of Costco seafood. 6 months is all we got. Now, do we fix or replace? Should have bought new in the first place, or at least should not have bough used from these folks.

I would give this place no stars if I could. Horrible service by the wife. She is rude and these discounts for paying in cash and no tax doesn’t exist. Their prices aren’t that great and when you can get the same deal at Western Appliance (NEW) down the street or an even better deal at Santa Clara appliance, why shop at a place that doesn’t deserve your money. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STOP BY HERE. High prices, RUDE Service.

My room mates and I just bought a gas dryer from this location about a week ago. We were the only customers in the store and the guy who helped us (didn’t get his name. I think he’s Vietnamese and has light-​colored eyes) was extremely friendly and helpful. He said he’s been working 17 years in the business and between this and the other location, he works 7 days a week. He gave us a $ 10 discount for paying in cash, we paid no sales tax, and the dryer comes with a 90-​day warranty. He also had the gas line to hook the dryer into the gas outlet and sold it to us for a good price compared to OSH down the street.
He hooked up the dryer so we could see that it worked and heated up before we took it home. He was adamant about calling him if we had any questions or needed help, and made it a point to tell us what time he was going to be open till that day, and when he’d be back at that location in case we needed him. All in all, it was a great experience and I felt very at ease with my purchase. So far, the dryer is working better than we could have hoped for and I would definitely go back to purchase any appliance I may need in the future.

We are in the property management business and regularly purchase appliances, new and some used. The service we have gotten from Vertex has been outstanding. The prices are great and in most cases beat the competition. We have only had to use the guarantee 1 time on a used fridge and they were prompt and responsive. We consider them our primary appliance vendor.

i also found this place on craigs and was assuming that i could get a better deal for refrigerator over there … but people over there don’t even ask if we want something or not… they are very rude… i would suggest don’t go over there…

I found this place through craigslist when I was searching for a cheap, but in working condition refrigerator for my garage, since our old one died recently. In somewhat state of an emergency (since my family keeps much of the food in the garage fridge) we need a quick fix. We came across an ad that offered free delivery in local area, free pick up of old refrigerators, and a 90 day guarantee of their new/​used refrigerators. So I went to the website, saw some refrigerators that I thought were marked a bit high for used ones, but decided to go and check out the store. The website is pretty well made, simple but gets the job done. The store is located close to downtown SJ, not the prettiest location, but I guess it works for their line of business. I went in and saw a bunch of appliances ranging from refrigerators to dishwashers to ovens, and washer/​dryers. We went in wanting to buy a refrigerator for $ 100, but ended up getting one for just under $ 300. Most of the new appliances are marked up pretty high and the cheapest appliances were obviously on the low end, no-​name brands. Accounting for the free delivery, free pick up, and the same day delivery (received it within 2 hours of purchase in our garage), I say that extra we spent was worth it. The lady who helped us was nice and sincere and guaranteed that the refrigerator will be in a good running condition and will last (we’ll see), but at least we are under 90 day warranty which is a bit of assurance. The delivery was made right away and sure enough they picked up our old refrigerator all for free. So far so good, the refrigerator is running well. I will be sure to update if anything is to happen in the future.
