I had received regular chiropractic care for 19 years prior to coming to OC Spine & Physical Medicine. I was cautious at first, skeptical that my neck and shoulder pain would subside. After three months of treatment, I’m encouraged by a reduction in the number of headaches I get, as well as the lessening of my neck and back pain. My muscles feel less tense and my posture has improved.
What satisfies me the most about the program is that it takes a more holistic approach to healing and that treatment is time limited. It’s become clear to me that chiropractic care alone would never have improved my disc degeneration and the misalignment of my spine. I appreciate that the exercises with weights and foams are designed to remedy these issues and prevent further damage or pain.
All of the staff members I’ve encountered have been friendly, honest, and informative. Each of them seems to take a genuine interest in each patient and in the care they provide.
I would highly recommend anyone who’s experienced years of chiropractic care with few long-​term improvements to seek the care at OC Spine & Physical Medicine. It may not be covered by your insurance, but the one-​time program fee is still probably less costly than paying chiropractic co-​pays (or out-​of-​pocket payments) for years on end.

I went to OC Spine and Physical Medicine for relief of neck and spine pain which had not been resolved by physical therapy. I am now pain free 99% of the time after following their program. The staff is very friendly, very supportive and I am very happy with my results.

This place is awesome. Everyone is so kind, helpful and most of all know what they are doing. I went in because I have lower back problems and neck issues. My lower back pain hasn’t come back since I started here. Gone! My neck feels 10x better and I’m not even done with my treatment yet. If you don’t want to go through surgery or just want some help from knowledgable staff then come here!

I can’t tell you how much this place has helped me out. I’ve always considered myself and athlete whether it was high school sports, bmx racing, surfing, extreme snowboarding or currently mountain bike racing. It hasn’t been until the last few years where my past and current day crashes, activities etc. have been coming back to haunt me.
I’ve been to many chiropractors so I feel justified in saying that the method of treatment and explanation of why this works just makes sense. I was so tired of just getting cracked or offered herbal patches etc. and never get a solid answer why I am hurting or why. I had finally convinced myself that living with the pain of herniated discs is just the new normal until I met Dr. Wayne. I half heartedly set up a consultation thinking it is probably going to be the same story as usual and at least I’d get a free short massage. It turned out to be eye opening. Not only did they explain why they thought I was in pain but they showed me why their method of treatment that accompanied it made sense. I decided to move forward with their treatment plan and had results that exceeded my expectations.
I would recommend anyone that has any back or spine issues to come in and get an explanation of how they can help you. Don’t even think about surgery until you exhaust all other options. I can confidently say this option has been tremendously effective for my 4 herniated discs and debilitating sciatica. I am grateful to Dr. Wayne and Dr. Ryan for helping me get back to where I need to be, which is living pain free and hopefully remaining competitive as an athlete.

I have been receiving extensive treatment for very bad back and neck pain at O.C. Spine & Physical Medicine for close to two months now, and it’s really been paying off when it comes to pain alleviation and posture correction.
The program does not come cheap, but you always get what you pay for in life. In this case, you get access to a very dedicated, professional and talented team of people who truly enjoy helping others improve their quality of life.
The staff up front is fantastic, especially Courtney. She’s on top of everything, always a pleasure to deal with, and witty and beautiful to boot. Abby, the office manager, is also a talented, dedicated and hard-​working professional.
Dr. Wayne and Dr. Ryan know their stuff, and I really can’t say enough about Dr. Ryan, who I have been working with extensively. He’s a fantastic, down-​to-​earth, funny and cool guy, and he pays special attention to your individual needs and day-​to-​day situation when it comes to pain and posture.
Antoine, who runs the decompression machine and oversees the rehab floor, is also a great guy, and very attentive. George, the in-​house masseuse, is excellent at what he does, and also does a great job teaching free classes on Wednesday evenings. His posture and core strengthening classes have taught me a lot about how to apply ongoing corrective care to my back and neck, which were wracked with pain for the past several years. You can even win free massages from George via raffles in the office and at the after-​hours classes. George also oversees the setup of the home workout kit and regimen they give you, which is extensive, but really seems to work.
I still have a ways to go with my treatment, and I don’t know just what the future will hold from a pain and posture standpoint. But I do know that these people have helped me, and are genuinely awesome to deal with on each and every visit. If you put your attention and energy into this program, it can really pay some quick dividends. I’ve met other people at the office who tried just about everything before finding back and neck pain relief at O.C. Spine. What’s more, several of the staff members themselves, including Dr. Wayne and George, have overcome their own serious spine issues, and are very good at sharing their stories and successes.
The location of the office is good too. It’s right off the 55, very close to an array of restaurants and a short drive to downtown San Juan Capistrano — which is a lot more fun to explore when your back and neck don’t feel like they are on fire or about to fall apart.
Put simply, I’d recommend investing in a corrective care program with O.C. Spine if you’re experiencing a great deal of pain and suffering with your back and/​or neck. They know what they’re doing, they care about the people they work with, and they help impart lessons and programs that can last a lifetime.

I should have listened to my Orthopedic Surgeon. He said it is impossible to put the curve back in my spine. There’s a reason most insurance companies won’t cover this treatment. It’s all out of pocket and the communication between the case manager and the MDs was poor, at least in my situation. The case manager is really just a salesman going for the hard close. I was charged $ 65 for each visit, which includes nothing. I guess that is the «cover charge». Then I was charged $ 55 for decompression therapy that lasts 12 minutes, and a 5 minute chiropractic adjustment. Two weeks into it I was experiencing more pain and discomfort than before I started their treatment program. Most of the «intensive» therapy takes less than 20 minutes per visit. You do the rest there and at home yet you’re paying them thousands of dollars. They give you weights and foam to take home for $ 585.
Even though my spinal surgeon said it is impossible to put the curve back in my spine, they had a good sales pitch and I bought into it hook, line and sinker. Like anything else in life, buyer beware and do your research. If you have chronic back and neck pain they are not set up to prescribe for that even though there are MDs on staff. Of course, pain management was part of the original sales pitch.
Now I’m doing pain management, which is what I should have been doing all along. I also have to make some lifestyle changes, which is the hardest part for me. The most aggravating part of my experience with O.C. Spine was that they told me I could continue lifting weights as long as I did their treatment program, which was dead wrong. 6 visits that included 12 minute decompression therapy sessions, 4 30 minute soft tissue massages and 6 chiropractic adjustments cost me over $ 1,000. The only thing insurance covered was the pain meds!

talk about a snake oil salesman. another reviewer had it right when they said he prays upon the desperate. and that’s what I was, having been in excruciating pain from injuries to my upper and lower back. the whole thing is a scam, pressuring patients to buy outrageously expensive care that quite frankly made the pain worse. when I brought this fact to «dr» greathouse’s attention he said he had put the head weights on the wrong side. for $ 3500 you would hope this guy would know what he’s doing. my son went to him as well but never wore the weights he was given. but just to test greathouse’s credibility, on one of my sons last visits we told the «dr» he wore as them as directed. after having xrays done «dr» greathouse announced that upon reviewing the xrays my sons spine had moved significantly and the treatment was a success. this guy is a fraud!!! and the funny thing is I saw wayne in the office of my current pain management specialist, either looking for meds or injections or both. so how great can his treatment be if he isn’t even using it?! I wish I could give him negative stars but im forced to give him the one.

I came upon this amazing office quite by chance, thank goodness:)! I had been under the care of a very good chiro for years, going weekly for adjustments. However, I was still suffering. I hadn’t had x-​rays done for several years. After meeting with Dr. Marina, hearing about their program and seeing my x-​rays, I had to give it a try. Even with regular chiro, I was facing potential back and knee surgery, who knew?! It seems that all those regular adjustments really hadn’t been fixing my issues.
After just a couple of weeks of treatment I am seeing improvement. Their program is not cheap but they have been more than willing to work with me and my insurance. More importantly, this is a program with a beginning and an END:)! They prove to you with x-​rays just how much you’ve improved. You get so much more than the dollars spent!
In addition, you couldn’t find a group of professionals with a better «bed side manner»! You feel welcomed and cared about and for from day 1, no joke! I rate this experience as one of the best I’ve found, not only in Orange County but in my life. Now 51 and on my way to being so much more mobile, maybe even bionic with their care:)!
So wish I had found them years ago!!!

I have known dr. Great house for years. I actually used to work for him. I never trusted chiropractors a day in my life until i met dr. Greathouse. I had been to them before, they adjust you and that’s it. You feel better for a day or two then the pain comes back! Here at oc spine and physical medicine, you go through a program, physical therapy, exercises, message therapy, and non manual adjustments (not by hand but a NASA technology machine top of the line). They take x rays before, during and after your treatment. This is no joke, not temporary relief, but actually fixing you permanently! Once you go through the program you only come back every so often for «checkups». Everyone in here is so great, dr. Ryan is the best chiro in the world! And George is an awesome masseuse! Everyone in here cares about you, not just your back but you. They want to help heal your back and neck pain to help your everyday life! If you are suffering, suffer no more. They take insurance and offer payment plans. It is worth every penny! I have been in the program 2 months, already seen (actually seen with x rays) and felt incredible results! For the first time in about 20 years — my back, neck and shoulders are pain-​free! The treatments are not conventional chiropractic and physical therapy — and it requires a lot of discipline at home. The treatments were expensive, because my insurance didn’t cover it all — but feeling healthy again has been worth it.

After trying chiropratic and message and not getting permanent results they offeresd a lasting solution to my chrinic pain and inflimation. Offering a muti facitited apporache to maintaining the adjustents and postural corrections, I highly recomend this facility! They are caring and very professional!

Do it! This place was a life saver for me. I have been in several car accidents and have scoliosis. I have seen several other doctors who just gave me muscle relaxers for my pain and said that the only way to fix it was with surgery. Obviously that wasn’t an option I wanted to take. I came across this place from a health fair a few months ago and now I feel amazing. They gave me some weights to teach my muscles to hold my spine correctly and although I was a bit skeptical at first, I must say it worked well. My scoliosis is just about non existent, the migraines I was having three times a week I haven’t had since October and overall I am just more relaxed. The best part for me was that it was covered by my insurance, so I had a few copays and that’s it. It was wonderful. I must a big thank you to the office.

I saw Dr. Wayne at his former office Seaside Chiropractic in San Clemente and he really helped me out of a badly placed rib. I never felt pressured to «buy» more treatment and the therapists were friendly.
At the new office I had a great massage, and I’m a bit of a massage junkie, you can just tell the people that know what they are doing. I also really like the direction the new office is going offering alternatives to traditional medicine. Chiropractic has healed issues for me that traditional methods could not begin to resolve, and without pills.

I didn’t know if it would work at first and was a bit leery of the commitment and starting care. BUT I can’t speak highly enough about OC Spine, its staff and doctors. I have suffered for years with back pain and have been to many places that could not help me. Their care has alleviated my pain in my low back that I have had for over 15 years as well as my headaches.
I would recommend this to anyone and actually have my husband going there now. I read another reviewer who complained about the cost… my insurance covered very little but the doctor made it affordable to me. Anyone who knows anything about these insurance companies would know they don’t pay for your wellness care. If you want to wait until you are ready for a back surgery, they will pay for that. It was well worth the cost and has been an investment in my quality of life.
