Came here for Fathers Day and were treated poorly. Now I understand that Fathers Day could mean that they would receive a lot more business than usual, but forgetting all our orders and bringing in what they think we ordered was not acceptable. There were some corrections made afterwards, but corners were cut. Steak was cold, mixed up what kind of eggs we had ordered, wrong kind of bread, etc. In the end I give this half hearted effort the lowest possible rating.

I was handed my check before I was ever offered a refill which I needed during my meal. Rafael was very discourteous and rushed me. I spent $ 20 on myself and should have received a better meal, and experience. My food looked nothing like the picture which was not the problem… the service was. The food and service is not worth the money!

I’ve been to this location twice before and this by far was the most disappointing experience. At this location the TV’ broadcast the security cameras instead of a show or something else. The children’s menu is a laminated printout instead of getting a new copy with crayons. Normally your food should take some time to come out after ordering. Our food came out only 2 minutes after our order was place and was warm, not hot, and under cooked. Our services asked me a question and before I could answer walked away. I don’t expect a gourmet meal at a denny’s but l do expect my food to be fresh.

I was very impressed and satisfied with my visit. Typically, the service is slow and careless when I visit Denny’s restaurants. However, my server, Tamiko was phenomenal. She was extremely kind, extremely attentive and enthusiastic. As a server myself, I understand what it’s like to deal with a diverse group of customers and being jaded by the end of the night. She rung in the food right away and the food came out within minutes. The water refill ratio was in the top 90 percentile. The«American slam» breakfast was slammin’ jammin’ pajama wearing salmon, Kevin. Anywho, all jokes aside, and rhetoric, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I attribute my gratitude to Tamiko and the chef who will remain a mystery. May your children grow to be 6’0″(or a desirable height for girls) and your heart 101 y/o. Thanks!

I hadn’t been here in a while, and I had fairly low expectations. Well, they’ve really picked up their game. We were seated quickly(for a Saturday), service was fast and good, the Grand Slam is amazingly affordable, and all the food(eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hashbrowns(!), orange juice, and coffee) was great! And it’s clean with nice décor. We will be back.

The service is really bad. We ordered our food 30 minutes ago and still nothing. Our waiter doesn’t even come up to us to ask how we are. Probably because to cooks are slow. Do something about it

I decided to eat here one night during my vacation. It was pretty late on a Saturday and they were only two waitresses. I don’t know if this was an actual staffing issue or it this was the norm because the location of this restaurant is in a really odd and hard to find spot. When we were first seated, the restaurant was empty, then the masses started pouring in. It took an extremely long time to get our food and from then on it was about 15 – 20 minutes between each visit from our waitress which included important things like getting the check. The food was delicious so no complaints there. All in all, it was just an average visit to an average Denny’s.

I mean it’s your average Denny’s, but what irritates me is when you call in an order, you’ll be waiting for them to pick up forever. Like minutes. I was able to drive from the freeway exit on 98th allllllll the way to 98th& bancroft until they finally picked up. This was at 7am on like a Wednesday morning, I got there and it wasn’t even busy. It’s not the first time they took forever to answer. I tried 2 other days before when I was passing by the area and both those times, no one even answered at all.

I come to this location every once in awhile since it is so close to my house. I order the same thing every time the Santa fe skillet. Today I ordered it to go and the manager took my order and put my order in incorrectly. He came out 20 minutes later with a steak skillet. When I went to let him know he gave me the wrong item he decided to argue with me because there are two pictures on the page I had the menu on and he said you could have been pointing to this. If he had listened to what I said and not try to figure out on his own what I ordered we wouldn’t have had this mix up. He was very rude and I would not like him to help me the next time I come in. I have worked in several restaurants and if you take the time to read back the customers order you won’t have as many problems.

The french toast breakfast was absolutely satisfying and perfectly prepared, add a side of grits and eggs was in heaven. The morning crew were the best, attentive friendly and all around great for the morning… The cook knows what he is doing!!!

I wouldn’t eat here as my first restaurant choice, but for a late night bite off their value menu, I’ll dine here when the bar lets out. Their food isn’t necessarily bad, its just decent, their isn’t a single item on the menu that will have you begging for more, but for items like $ 4 all you can eat pancakes or value slams; beggars can’t be choosers.

Much nicer location than the one on Marina Blvd, but I’m not quite sure if it’s a little bit smaller. Anyway, our service was good, and the food is good, Denny’s-quality comfort food. I ordered biscuits and gravy(although they weren’t on the menu). The gravy was whipped up fresh, you could tell, but I was expecting the same kind of country gravy used on country-fried chicken for example. I don’t think it was the same. My boyfriend ordered the Santa Fe skillet, and they gave him like a million scrambled eggs. We both thought it came with two eggs, but the amount he got looked like it was about six!

2 only because the food saved you guys I love Denny’s for a good late night bite. I know the food and if you’ve been there more then once you know what to expect. The service was horrible and when we commented the waitress had a mouthful of her own opinion. I love Denny’s. Just not this one.

After realizing that it was 11 am on a lazy Sunday(we actually just went to the gym so maybe not so lazy?) and that McDonald’s stops serving breakfast at that time, friends and I were craving some breakfast at Denny’s. It was pretty crowded, but we only had to wait around 10 – 15 minutes before being seated. They didn’t hand us a $ 2, 4, 6, 8 menu and we were afraid that they had gotten rid of that deal, but they hadn’t. Whew, gave us a scare. We ordered two Grand Slam Sluggers and I shared with one of them. It’s the best deal for $ 8: Free coffee and juice with 2 pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. The pancakes were SOGOOD and I devoured both of them. The eggs were made over-easy by request and they were also perfectly cooked and gooey. The hashbrowns were also crisp, yet moist and full of soft flavor. There are no complaints in this meal and everything was delicious as expected. Our waitress was also very attentive and sweet. Denny’s is definitely a go-to for late night or anytime comfort food. Everything met expectations and it was perfect. Ambiance: 3⁄5 Food: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Overall Experience: 3.5÷5

One word describes all: HORRIBLE !!! the waitress by the name of Lazette was doing multiple things at once, but nothing at all, and it wasn’t because the place was busy. We were only 3 people out of the 7 around us. When I got my food, the avocado chicken sandwich with season fries, it literary came back cold and that’s not the worse part. It came with really old lettuce, and super soggy bread from standing there for about 20 minutes before getting to my table. Talk about the 3 brainless chefs in the kitchen… NEVER coming to this place again. YUUUUCCCCK!!! I’VENEVERBEENTHISDISGUSTEDWITHDENNYSINMYLIFE.

What I like about this Denny’s is that you can tell that they’re trying to maintain a certain level of integrity. Not always the easiest with the Friday night San Leandro crowd, but they’re trying. At the suggestion of one of my more wild and crazy friends, a small group of us gathered at an entirely-out-of-the-way Denny’s for some card games. The service was extremely kind to us and set us up in a large booth. I split the Bacon Slamburger & Fries with my bf($ 10) — a great deal if you’re looking for an uncomfortable amount of burger/egg/bacon/potato. The burger has a half serving of hashbrowns on it already. Then it comes with fries. :-P Our experience was only negatively impacted by the group of four extremely loud, extremely rude ladies who sat directly next to us for 40 minutes after finishing their meal, seemingly only to ensure that every single person in the restaurant was wincing in pain. Food strewn all over the floor, the table, etc. We shared pitying glances with the busser responsible for cleaning up after them. I would never find myself out of the way again for this Denny’s(or, honestly, any other Denny’s), but if you live in the area, the food and service are great. Just avoid the night life.

Midnight breakfast/dinner savior! I come here at least twice, maybe three times a month and while it’s always dirty, crowded and short staffed… what do you expect for a Denny’s? This place is always good enough for me whenever I need a quick fix with some fries and a shake or a full lumberjack slam to hold me over. Every staff member I’ve come across has been super nice and always willing to help or fix any issues you may have. Not the best place around but it has made my list!
