Mangonada has a fake tasting sherbet with real mango cubes. Do NOT recommend it. I would rather go to the United Paleteria Y Neveria in Hayward where it tastes more authentic and is better tasting. The mango smoothie has that same fake taating mango sherbet that they use in the mangonada. Used syrup too. Lots of crushed ice that u could still chew and taste. Not good because it was grainy or maybe it was sugar? Who knows. Nothing healthy about it. This smoothie had no milk or icecream nor do they use real mango fruit!!! Not made of mangos. This was more like a a slush drink rather than a milk-shake consistency a smoothie has. I was very disappointed! The Ganzito ice-cream is alright. You can make this at home mixing better quality ice cream and cake. Again, I’ve tasted the ganzito ice cream at United Paleteria Y Neveria, and it was to die for. I thought I was given the wrong order but that was their GanIto alright!

They freaking towed my car after I dropped nearly $ 30.00 on their grocery and $ 25.00 at their restaurant. Why? I parked my car in their parking lot and went across to Mi Tierra to buy some other ingredient they didn’t have in stock at the time. How f**ked up is that? It was less than 3 mins and I got my car towed. What is the cost to get my car back? Freaking $ 650 because it was a Saturday and after hours. What kind of insanity is this? I will never go back to this place ever again. People be… careful…I tried talking to the owners but they didn’t care a bit. I think Guadalajara Market and Palace Garage are a bunch of thieves. Don’t go there… let everyone know…

Today 7÷23÷11, my wife went shopping in and around the stores in this little strip mall. She parked the car in the lot then stepped across into the Asian store next door but not in the Guadalajara lot intending to continue shopping in Guadalajara stores. In less than 20 minutes the over zealous security had her car towed costing us $ 330. My feeling is that he gets paid by the towing company though I can not prove it. Because of the security I will not shop there again and I suggest you do not either.

guadalajara has a meat section, small bakery section, and lots of mex groceries. beer section had mostly mex and mainstream beers. sampling: -«BRAV» coconut juice@.99 young coconut juice, etc. contains preservatives, sugar. tastes sweet, milky –don francisco custard flavoring lacking, texture firm, has dextrose and food coloring. nice caramel taste. –jumex strawberry nectar @.59 not much taste, contained frutose, purée, coloring… shopping notes: –only one checkout stand open –parking lot full.

I come here for carne asada. They flavor is pretty good. I use it for fajitas, small tacos, quesadillas, or even eat it with just rice. Hopefully, if the butcher understands you correctly you’ll get it marinated and cut up like I request every time. Only once did they get it right. But it’s ok because I can cut it when I get home. I just prefer them to while they have it out and better knives. Always buy jalapeños, limes and cilantro(typical mexican ingredients) at a mexican store. Any american store like Safeway or Lucky’s will be over priced. This advice is what I recommend for anything. Never buy soy sauce or anything asian at Safeway or Lucky either. Will definitely be overpriced. Parking lot gets kind of crazy so consider parking behind the strip or on the street. Can’t beat 10 – 12 limes for $ 1.

This whole mini-mall is packed with Mexican shops(though that Guadalajara taqueria next door is nothing special IMO). The market/carniceria is good though, because it’s not too big, but it’s well-stocked. The best thing about it is that I can buy the crumbly white cheese for my refried beans in small quantities, at the deli counter, instead of dropping nearly $ 4 for an entire slab of the stuff. Also the staff is super nice and helpful in case you have any gringo newbie cooking questions!

I love going to Guadalajara, whether its for food to make for dinner, or just to shop around for items I don’t normally find in other supermarkets. Guadalajara has amazing workers throughout. The guys behind the butcher counter, always super fast and can help you pick the best kinds of meat for what you’re cooking. The ladies at the checkout counters are always super friendly and smiling. The best part is, much like other latino markets, super cheap EVERYTHING– not just produce. I was just there this weekend and got a few pounds of steak, six limes, four bunches of green onions and cilantro, a huge chunk of queso fresco, and a bunch of other odds and ends for around $ 30!!! I love going to Guadalajara and will continue shopping here!
