Very impressed.
A co-​worker who gets his hair cut here recommended the place. I came with a picky child who really didn’t want a haircut and there were two clients ahead of us. They all exchanged few words and seemed to be his regulars. When it was our turn, Kevin prepared the booster seat and warmly greeted us. He’s very good with children and gave him a handsome do. Will definitely be back, thank you Kevin.

My go to guy for fades and styles! If you have thick coarse hair or Asian hair then Kevin can fix you up! I fully support ma and pa shops! I pay Kevin half of what I pay barbers, but then the types of services are not the same.

Hi. I hate writing bad reviews because I hate to hurt small businesses but this one was pretty bad. I go in on Saturday around 3 and waited an hour. I thought about leaving but since this place had such good reviews, I thought I should stay because it might just be a really good haircut place. Okay, so when it was my turn, I showed him a photo so he would get an idea of what I want. I wanted just short sides and a longer top. And I thought he would be able to do this because there’s a photo of someone getting a similar cut on his Unilocal page. He took like 15 mins, which was quick. And when I looked up, it looked nothing like how I wanted. But what could I say now? It’s always cut and I couldn’t go back and fix it. And so I thought maybe it’ll look better when I style it at home. And basically it looks like crap. He left some chunks sticking out and basically gave me a bad trim. Nothing like how I wanted it. As a bonus, when I came home, I found a big cut on my neck from the Clippers. what a joy! Maybe Kevin was having a bad day, but regardless, I don’t know why he got 5 stars. this sucks lol.

Been coming here now for about 5 or 6 years and have always been satisfied with the service. The prices are some of the best around, believe me! The other place I went to charged twice as much. Also Kevin is a nice guy and does great work. The best part? I’m only a few minutes away.

This guy is hiding from FAME. Kevin is a hair artisan. He know how to work your hair and make your imperfection look perfect with your style and an artist with the scissors. you wont see him cutting your hair with a clipper.

Now it’s kind of hard to review a barber, but I’ll give it a go. I went here several times when I lived in San Leandro with my GF. And almost every time I went to him before a job interview, I got an offer from the job that I was applying to!
Not only does he have that lucky factor, but his hair cuts are pretty on point. I usually get the usual, and even though I don’t show up for months, he still remembers me and cuts it just like I had it the time before.
The price is right at $ 11 for a male haircut and I usually tip about $ 3-​$ 4 depending on how Im feeling.
I’d recommend this place to get hair cuts again and again!
TIP: If you go, try to go during an off time. Because it’s just Kevin cutting hair, the line can get a little crazy during the rush hours of the day :-)

I used to take my 4 year old son to a kiddie salon but it was expensive and they did a horrible job the last time we went. They tried to line him up and it was so bad, I couldn’t take him there again. Decided to come here cause my brother goes here and Kevin is great with my son! He is very calm and patient with him. We’ve been coming here for over a year now and won’t go anywhere else. My son loves it and always looks forward to getting a lollipop when he’s done! Sometimes we have to wait for an hour but we don’t mind at all! Thanks Kevin!

Took my 1 year old son here today after reading the good reviews. Kevin did a great job, super fast and efficient. My son has a new barber for sure. I will recommend this place to anyone with little ones, From what I saw he also does good with adult cuts too.

Went here for a basic haircut… overall it was a nice and pleasant experience. Good haircut, done with care, and very affordable ($ 12).

He’s fast, but quiet. Gets the job done for a price that can’t be beat. He doesn’t take appointments so you gotta sit and wait, which can sometimes be over an hour. And he’s a cash only man. There’s an ATM at the market next door.

I had never been here before, but I saw on Unilocal that it had good reviews, so I checked it out. It was worth the trip out! I didn’t have to wait too long. I asked for a fade and got exactly what I wanted at a cheap price. I’ll definitely be coming back here for future cuts.

Just took my 5 yr old and really liked how kevin was very patient with him and doing small talk with my boy to keep his mind off the haircuttin” he wasnt takin his time like others do and we were out of there in less then 20 minutes and the cut was perfect. my son will def. Be coming again for his next due.

I guess you can blame me a bit for being a little vague at times about what kind of haircut I want, but I’ve had one too many experiences with this guy where the results were poor and lacked sense.
I would have never bothered reviewing Kevin’s Cuts until my most recent experience when I simply asked him to square the back. When he began trimming it hurt more than usual. I’m not one to complain unless something is REALLY painful, so I toughed it out like it was normal. It stung but I kept telling myself that it would pass; I had never experienced a burn quite like this from a haircut before. I left the salon and hoped the sting would eventually fade.
Long story short, he gave me a pretty harsh razor burn on the back of my neck where he straightened the hair line; by harsh I mean theres a bright red line on my skin along the back hairline about a ½ cm thick that was still painful the next day. This has NEVER happened to me so I am not a case of sensitive skin.
Some might blame me for not stopping him and telling him about the discomfort, but what guy getting a haircut is going to complain unless the pain is REALLY bad? Shouldn’t this be completely avoided in the first place?
Take a look at the picture and judge for yourself (assuming they don’t take it down). My fault or should this just never happen at a professional salon? I will never trust him again.

Never been here before, a friend recommended me. I asked for a bald fade with a little off the top, and it came out fantastic! Kevin’s great!
$ 12 cut, but don’t forget to tip my man Kevin for that really clean cut he just gave you! Not to mention he does it very quickly, and blends fades really well.

Great service! Kevin know what I want and do a wonderful job. For the price of $ 12 its the cheapest in town. I would definitely come here from now on.

I have to say I found a diamond in the rough. Came to Kevin’s cut and was not sure what to expect from this place. I went in for a fade and must admit this guy is on point and can make some legit suggestions to give you the best hair cut. It appears as he is the owner and the only staff member there, although there are 2 other barber chairs. He charges $ 12.00 for the fade. Really that is just awesome and music to my ears as other salons and barbershops are now charging $ 20 – 25 minimum. I can easily see myself coming here for years to come. Plenty of parking as its a little shopping center and it may be cash only. Dude has a good attitude and I can hardly see anything going wrong with this place.

Quick, Nice, and Cheap. Will definitely come back.

I went to Kevins for the first time because im new in the city anyways, asked for a bald fade and i was amazed of my haircut. I usually get my fades for $ 20 BUT HERE u get it for $ 12!. i was shocked nd overall well done haircut. Definitely going back found my local barber.
