Renown Premium Hair

OVER PRICED BEWARE THIS HAIR IS NOOOOOT GOOD QUALITY !!! I purchased the Indian temple hair which is suppose to be their top quality hair. I had this hair in not even a week, it sheds like crazy, and it is thin (I bought 3 bundles $ 650). I have bought hair for way less and better quality. I’m very disappointed with this hair especially since I was told this hair should last me for 2 years or more depending on the maintenance. I highly doubt that because this hair is terrible and I do mean terrible.

It was the worst hair I’ve ever purchased. I purchased it for my 21^st birthday and had it installed by a well qualified weave technician. The hair was installed for a total 12 days. It was very dry, even matted. The hair can be compared to «pack» hair at your local beauty supply. In response to Rouvaun… No, I am not an avid Unilocaler however, your hair was terrible enough to bring me here. Congrats. Also, you didn’t get 3 stars based solely on my review.

I ordered a custom U part wig online for my daughter’s débutante cotillion. When it arrived, it was not the right color. I ordered #2 darkest brown hair, and received as confirmed by my local beauty supply professionals, #4 hair. When I called Renown, the manager was extremely professional, but explained that #2 coloring of hair and #2 hair are two different things. When I asked that it be corrected, he advised repeatedly that the color was correct and that if I had an issue to take it to a stylist to have it colored. He offered to give me a coupon on my next purchase… but why would I purchase anything else from them??? I explained to him that I did not pay nearly $ 300 for a wig to then have to pay someone else to correct the issue, and noted that if it was not corrected I would be sure to review them as such everywhere possible. He agreed to correct. After I paid to ship it back to them, I received it back and this hair did not even look to be colored… more gray hairs were evident than when it left. You would think that would not be the case on a unit that had now been colored twice. When I took it to my stylist to get it corrected, she found it hard to believe it had been colored either. It was only slightly darker, but still not the darkest brown. After my stylist colored it, she then placed the unit on my daughter’s head for the first time, it was much too big (although the sizing was custom supposedly), and it was 22″ long although I ordered a 18″ wig. The only thing that was right was the hair texture. I ended up having to visit my local beauty supply store and purchase another wig entirely to use for the event.

I ordered online so I am an ACTUAL customer. I measured my daughter’s head per the instructions on the website, the wig sizing was supposed to be custom based on the measurements but it did not fit. I ordered 18″, but it was longer; I wanted exactly what I ordered not longer. How hair that was colored twice has grays in it I will never understand. Lastly, although I work for a transportation company, shipping is NEVER free for employees. If you intend to reimburse me, I can send you the receipt.
Apparently they felt necessary to add an additional addendum that implied that I measured incorrectly, admitted there were grays after two colorings, and suggested I’m inexperienced beyond purchasing at my local beauty supply… so yeah, BUYER BEWARE! According to them, my sharing my experience is abusive and I gave them $ 265+ for a product with which I was determined to be unhappy. If you read the other negative reviews, they have a history of customer blaming. I wish I’d visited Unilocal first. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Best customer service I’ve ever had! But the hair… I got a bundle, 16 inches, and man once you unroll it the hair is so thin! It was beautiful, once I washed it it didn’t go back to the waviness it had (which they said it would) and it would get tangled when I wore them. The hair was so thin had to mix it with my older hair extensions… The ladies were super nice! But I will never be coming here again.

I am sad to say that after a few trips back and forth to Renown, trying to decide if I wanted to purchase hair from them. I finally bit the bullet and purchased two bundles of single donor hair.
About two weeks later I went back to purchase a closure, that I paid $ 150+tax and I am really sorry to say that it was not at all worth it. I have not even had the hair or closure for 2 months yet, and the closure is super matted. (Not happy at all with the loss of money that was spent) I have followed their care instructions. As for the quality of the single donor hair… I’m not to convinced on that either. I guess i just lost out on this one. As for the boutique… I absolutely loved it! The customer service is impeccable. I can say… although I’m not happy with my hair purchase, I was very pleased with the professionalism of the employees.

The best in the west. Top of the line professionals in hair and customer service. The owner of Renown is at best described as a phenomenal business woman. She is definitely a subject matter expert in weaving hair. Visiting Renown is like going into a hair boutique offering first class executive hair services. They even have a salon and licensed cosmetologists offering state of the art services with the most up to date equipment.
Ladies, you leave this establishment feeling like a queen. By the way, they do guarantee their product which is another plus. With my busy schedule, I really enjoy knowing I have hair professionals open and available to me 7 days a week. The owner, Toi, is just outstanding, she has the patience of Job. She is committed to ensuring her customers are completely satisfied. She takes pride in her business and her customers appearance. Her personality is so uplifting. Although we met two months ago, I feel as though I’ve known her a lifetime.
Once you walk through their doors you are immediately greeted. Renown offers such a wide variety of textures in varying price ranges. You may find yourself in my situation… going in seeking only one texture of hair and walking out with four different textures. I needed to have them in my immediate possession. A girl has got to have multiple options. If you are like me, a woman who requires versatility; well the only name that should come to mind is «Renown.»
I have been purchasing weaving hair for over twenty years. I have done business with beauty supply stores from San Francisco to Los Angeles and all of the major online hair vendors. Ladies it does not get any better than Renown. Frequently I am stopped on the street by others women who ask where did you get your hair done it’s absolutely gorgeous and all I can do is smile and reply, «Renown.» My profession requires ongoing interviews with the media and on stage appearances. As a Renown Woman, I know I’ve got this one right. When news reporters and strangers are complementing you on your hair that says it all! I just wish Toi opens a location in San Francisco or Daly City.
In closing I offer one final piece of advice, please Stop Buying retail hair from the beauty supply stores and step up your game. In the long run purchasing quality Indian temple human hair is a better investment. My hair is utilized repeatedly, can be dyed by professional without being compromised, and will last me for a minimum of two years. Meaning I experience a fantastic return on my investment. The number of times you buy retail hair at beauty supply stores is costing you far more than I’ve invested in my quality Indian hair from Renown.
I must say I thoroughly enjoy my visits there. I just love Renown and I love my hair!

5 stars for this gorgeous hair! I’ve had sooo many compliments as soon as I installed the hair. I have natural kinky curly (3c, 4a. if you’re into curl typing) hair and love to wear hair extensions that match my own hair. And Renown has it! I am very impressed by the quality of this kinky curly hair. The curls are beautiful and I have had no problems with tangling or shedding! (That’s a LOT to say for curly texture weaves!) I have tried hair from several other brands (both inexpensive and higher priced), but this hair by far has been the very best kinky curly hair I have to date! The owner is super sweet and the staff was very helpful, especially Kalin. And on top of all of this. it’s local! If I don’t want to wait for shipping I can just drop by the store. Can’t get much better than that. Loving my hair!

I am editing my review because the weft barely has hair. It’s so thin. I’m disappointed by the product. Customer service is excellent tho but I won’t buy here anymore. I feel like it’s not worth $ 56 for the thin hair I got. You won’t notice it’s thin till you take it or of the packaging and spread it out.
